Alt-end = turns the track 90 degrees without going into the menu.
Alt pgup / pgdown = fine tunes relative position of the work line.
A bit of Cheat sheet back on FS19.

Im an actual farmer and when cultivating fields we always skip 1 row twice then go back to the first row that was skipped so you dont have to make tight turns. We also cultivate at an angle. The gps sounds are realistic and true like the real thing which is awesome. One thing im not sure if there is an option is to be able to move left or right 1 inch to how ever far you want it to turn
As a real farmer we have some autosteer in some of our tractors, and yes I do play Farm Sim on rainy days 😂 the audio for this guidance is exactly from a John Deere Greenstar, its giving me Vietnam flashbacks 😂😂
I suspect this will become a DLC later by Giants considering how big GPS is in farming. Harry's farm showed his on his real farm here in the UK. And he was still amazed how he can sit in the cab and not have to touch anything.
Really hope they do, still waiting 😪
It won't be a DLC, it will be in FS 22 as a "new feature". They same they did for the past games, make some of the big mods official.
(Ex.: FS22's seasons)
But even if we know that, we will still pay 80$ for the new game 🥲😂

Thank you for the great tutorial (refresher), and I don't know how to thank Wopster but this is definitely a must have mod. Especially if you're like me and you have a hard time seeing where you've been when fertilizing and spraying. If nothing else it makes life so much easier doing those activities.

One thing I noticed - from the FS19 version anyway - if you use hot keys to set A and B, you get the warning about needing to travel at least 15-20m. If you set the points via the settings menu, you don't have to travel that far...just an alternate way of doing it 😀

Hope Wop adds the headland management mode options to set the number of passes to skip on headland turns and the turn direction like VCA has.

I sincerely hope this feature is stock standard of the base game in the next version of FS. There clearly is a GPS screen in all the tractor cabs, but they are only for show. And yet in real life you get this feature.

I find A+Heading is just the way to go. Always either 0 or 90 depending on which field I'm on, and let it go. Super simple... makes me less reliant on helpers, which is massive in FS22 because the Helper AI is so much worse than before.

I really miss the GPS mod from FS 17. I feel like it was much more detailed and honestly easier to use. But I'm glad to see this in the game at least

I had Guidance Steering built into one of my Sim Dashboards for FS19 and just added the 90 degree turn to a button box for FS22 and Sim Dashboard.

I used this mod a lot in FS19 but I kinda enjoy VCA with the HeadlandManagement addon way more. It's more simple and intuitive imo.
And we can also set how many rows to skip to the left or right.
And also turns on demand! Or jumps to the next adjectent row.
I'm sticking with VCA for now. It's also cheaper 😎
Agreed. I gave Guidance Steering a try, but have gone back to VCA. It's simpler to control and being able to rotate a course by configurable intervals as small as a single degree is a killer feature for me when lining up on those irregular fields. Plus you get the non-GPS things that VCA gives you as well.

A bit late to the party but thanks for this video. The mod page has no mention of buying a GPS in the store for each tractor so I was confused at why it wouldn't turn on. After scratching my head for a bit I found your video and I was like, well that makes sense.

Yeah I'm using the lemken plow and selecting offset reversal to on doesn't switch the offset when you turn the plow...have to keep going in and doing it manually
I had really been looking forward to this one, but now I am kind of glad it was a little delayed. If this had be ready, I never would have considered the Vehicle Control Addon, and to be honest I really like that better. For me at least, many of the controls just seem more intuitive, and most importantly it can be used on the borrowed equipment in contracts. The only real advantage of this GPS mod seems to be for real hard core role players who like the idea of GPS only working on equipment they have installed the hardware into. Oh yes, I forgot the setting to stop at the field end is also a nice added feature.
Mission and borrowed vehicles work with GPS too now. ;)

The offset.
You can get the degrees from the GPS map in the bottom left.
If the field is ofsett, you can follow the edge of the field vith your tractor, and see the degrees at tyhe map, and simply just punch 'em in from there.

Im not sure about the auto steering i like being in control but the lines will help sooo much, i never used this in 19 and i was way missing out. Soon as i get home im downloading this 😂😂
You might prefer guidance steering instead then, give that one a go
idk if that is just me, but the gps dosen't stop when i am using the cruse control and the gps... it just keeps going even when i get the warrning thing that is almsot reached the end of the field.

When I turn on headland management, and put in the settings just like you did, it doesn't work, do you know how to fix that?
Great video, but i hava a question, i have enable headland mode enable and my tractor never stops
Using it with a combine I note that setting the lines to visible I am getting awful stuttering, probably because of some video setting I guess, so visible lines are out ATM, anyone got a clue what might be the cause?

Tools that "ride along side you tractor"
I have no issues setting up tools that ride along in a straight line behind my tractor, but things that are offset is a nightmare.
I just can´t wrap my head around it....
Never mind, i figured out that if you just have the right width, just drive one lane off.
It worked in my case. But it might be a good tutorial...

Great mod. But i have a problem. when i buy a new tractor with GPS i have a text displayed in my screen. does somebody know how to remove it?
Hope that 90° button can be used on a key binding and on the sim dashboard. It was a nuisance having to go to the menu in FS19.

The one thing I wish this mod had that the GPS mod has in FS17 (Different Modder) is I wish it had auto turn but beggars can be choosers.
Headland mode is swapped for me. Off makes the cruise control turns off. Stop does absolutely nothing

Trying to play this mod, but now it's stuck in "Heading" at whatever degree I set it at..I would like to change it back so I it lets me chose which direction I want while driving.
It let me when I started, but now I can't find the setting. Any idea?
Yes! turn off "snap terrain angle" and you should get the freedom to go at whatever angle you are driving at when you set it. 👍
You can use A+Heading instead of A+B , just insert your gps cord that show on the minimap 👍

For some reason when I have gps mod activated on my dedicated server. It shows text in game in the middle of my screen, how come?

Great video! I have GPS downloaded and my tractors have GPS installed. BUT there is no key binding listed, why? I tried to enter left control +S and still its not working can anyone tell me why.
If you got into your keybinds, it may be different.
Not a bad mod, I use one called VCA (Vehicle control addon) which has a guidance GPS system which I think is MUCH easier to use than wopters version. You should check it out.
I have used it, didn’t get on with it so switched back

Yes absolutely, if you go into your keybind menu you can edit any of the keys

My cruise control stays activated and my tractor keeps going forward as if it's nothing :( (i do hear the beep that im at the end but it doesnt make me stop, why?)
EDIT: Nvm i think its bugged? if i have mine as "OFF" it works, but if I have mine as "STOP" (like in this video) it DOESNT!
How the bloody hell do you use offsets with this mod when ploughing? When I've tried to use offsets when ploughing, the tractor starts off on the track I've set it up on, then it veers off onto the next track on the field, ploughs straight for a few metres, then veers off onto the next track and keeps repeating this across the field.
Reduce your offset slightly it’s getting too close to the next lane and jumping over
Thanks was a very interesting video, may I ask what is best Vca or Gps for fs22? fs19 I always used the gps mod but I hear there is also a VCA mod.
It’s entirely your choice, I’ve used both and prefer Guidance Steering but that’s not to say it will be the same for everyone

My GPS is showing a script on the screen when I'm in a tractor with GPS enabled, and I don't know how to Turn it off. I'm thinking it could be another mod that's causing this...I need HELP, please
You may have the debugging turned on, it’s not something I’ve come across, try loading a game with just guidance steering in and you’ll know if it works with nothing else there is a mod conflict 👍

So i'm wondering if i'm doing something wrong.. i downloaded this mod from the main game "downloadable content". i have the mod active/ selected from the mod page. i also purchased the mod for my tractor at the store for $15k..when I hold left alt and press c my camera snaps from first person to third person. am i missing something? any help would be appreciated.
That sounds like you have a keybind doing two things the same, I’d change your keybind for 3rd person to something else 👍

biggest question is, how do you clear a track, say if you're going from one field to another how do you start a fresh track on a new field?
Just set a new A+B line, if you are using the same implement you might be able to keep using the same course

How does the saveing track work? Does it safe pr field or ? Cuz when I change field it does not fit with the lines
Yes saved per field, it can sometimes work across multiple fields if they are parallel to each other but better to set up a new track each time.
does it have auto steering or do you have to keep it between the lines? like, if you went a little off center, would it auto correct?
When it’s switched on it drives perfectly straight, you deactivate it by steering but when you reactivate it it will rejoin the preset course 👍

Even though this mod is super usefull, i enjoy VCA more; its easier, simpler and adds many more options for implement and tractor control.
Yeah each to their own, I've not really spent a lot of time looking at VCA as I used Guidance Steering in FS19 so just kept it because I knew it, I should really make an effort to try VCA again

Sounds like you have a keybind clash, of the vehicle doesn’t have GPS installed (you need to add it in the shop)
I just bought a few farms and on the outside of the crops is more land that i own. So after i harvest my crop how can i make my field wider because i want to connect my farms, so i started disking and when i went over grass it didn't do anything and i own that land that i was trying to connect to my other farm? It's like there is grass between my two farms and just one it to be one big farm.
use a plow and in your help menu there's an option to "create fields" that will join your fields up 👍

Whats the benefit for using this mod? Since you basically have to stay in the tractor and do turns manually, isn´t it just easier to do everything yourself then?
Straight lines with no overlap, particularly in bigger fields, just like tractors in real life use 👍
i don't have fs22 yet but is there a gearshift mod yet? in fs19, i use it all the time but im scared fs22 won't have it or not yet. i think its called the VCA addon. i don't see anyone use it but its a great mod.
Gear shifting is built into the base game in FS22

I cannot get that centre line to show itself. I turn on the GPS with left ALT and C. Moving forward and backwards does nothing.
Press Ctrl S to bring up the menu and turn the lines on 👍

I hit Alt E the second time after driving forward and I don't get the blue lines. The A that I set when I double tapped Alt E also disappears. Any Ideas?
Hit Alt E twice to start, that will show the small A, then drive forward the 15 ft required, hit alt E again and that should crest your track, then just make sure your width is set and lines are switched on in the menu.
@@TheFarmSimGuy the alt e the second time wasn’t working. I watched someone else and saw you could set from the menu. So did that the first time and now every time after the alt e seems to work fine. Guess it was just first time.
I'd be more impressed if it had "adaptive curves" like the real thing.
Question :-) was it you who was driving after you press the gps or the game played by itself and you just there staring at your computer?
You still have to use the throttle or put cruise control on, same as in a modern tractor in real life

when I click on one of my saved tracks the lines aren't showing up
Check your lines haven't been turned off in the settings (ctrl S) or you can turn them on and off using Alt L
You said you thought it was better than FS19 but other than the option to save to "own farm" for MP I don't see anything different. What did I miss?
I think the way the interface is more in keeping with the rest of the UI, the clearer lines that stand out more in the field, the A+ setting is better, lots of minor changes that lead to a general feeling that he's really put some thought into it.
can you have only the lines active for when using a wheel in first person?
Yes Alt L will turn the lines on and off whenever you like 👍
