I loved the little happy dance when the first cabinet went up 😊. This is my favorite series on TH-cam right now. Also, Sarah Jarosz should NOT be relegated to overflow IMO. She's so good.
Good morning, April! Wow! The slat doors look fantastic! Thanks for showing us the entire cabinet build. There's nothing like storage. We can never have enough, but to have COOL storage, that's quite another thing! You make your videos so enjoyable with your enthusiasm and excitement. Your passion for your projects is palpable, and I for one, love to see people happy with what they do. Thanks for posting another awesome video. Hope you have a great week! God bless.
I like your method of using the clamps to ‘straighten’ the panel while you attached the trim. That and the method you used to build the slat doors were too simple yet ingenious! This series has been great! Thanks so much for sharing each step of the project as you complete your loft! Keep on building April!
As always, beautiful, creative work! I gave my vinyl collection to my son-in-law so that he could enjoy them as much as I did when I was building and listening to my collection back in the 60s and 70s. Unfortunately, he’s now an Ex and the collection went with him when he was kicked out. Oh well.
Your one of the the few that I here this type of business aspect to your works as well as a different look at woodworking through experience. I am sure you college helped you along the way but your experience all along your life for whatever reason is the perfect fit for me
I have a small work space and a small collection of tools but your videos have convinced me a Brad Nailer should be my next purchase. Thanks for another cool build!
Also,As a female carpenter for the passed 25 years, I so enjoy your approach to projects. It’s so refreshing. You’d think after all these years, there would be nothing new for me to learn. Not true, I learn something from you throughout each video. Thanks, keep up the great work
This build is coming together very well April. Loving woodwork is a great thing. I have a 4 car garage which is all work shop and loving it. I hope you can enjoy your woodwork for many years to come.
April, when I saw your album collection that just gave me another reason to like you, as if I needed one. "Fleetwood Mac The Dance" 🤙🏾💯❤. Thanks for sharing!
The Slatted Doors along with the LED lighting on these cabinets really grab your attention! It’s an awesome way to store and display your record library April! 😃👍👏
April, I don't often comment, but I really love watching your videos. Your enthusiasm is a spirit-lifter, to be sure! I like watching your projects come together, & this loft is no different. I have really been enjoying this series, & can't wait to see what you have coming up next on this project. I hope you have a marvelous day! :)
That is so cool, looks great and works perfect. Great job April and Jacob. Trying to figure if you're making a swing trapeze or maybe an elevator and a fire pole for an emergency exit ? Who knows what lurks in that mind of yours? Have fun with it. Fred.
It all looks great, I love watching you make. Just curious though, do you look at that area in a whole and think you maybe the top two shelves would look better with the ceiling angle? Or even make it into one box that kinda for an around the beam and have the ceiling angles? Anyway, awesome job!
It would be hard with the skill saw, just because of the curve of the blade. It also be a lot of passes with that kind of tool. A router would be your better bet. Clamp all the wood together square at the bottom cut your dado with a router and then clean up the edges. If you are working from one square panel you can cut all of your dados first then cut the slats out of the panel, just make sure you number them

You are so welcome! Glad you enjoy my Channel. Thanks for watching.
With your cnc ,you should make a custom wood vent for reading area to replace that metal one.
I have a small work space and a small collection of tools but your videos have convinced me a Brad Nailer should be my next purchase. Thanks for another cool build!
Awesome! It's a handy and great tool. Thanks for watching.

Very cool. I think the look is brilliant. I am interested in the planning phase, that must have been quite difficult to realise the outcome.

I totally agree! I just love it! Thanks for watching.

I appreciate that. Thanks for watching.
@@AprilWilkerson you're welcome any new seasons of the show with Tim allen?
Haha, love how you likened your first cabinet to a casket, then said “I repeated the process so I ended up with 2 bodies” 🤣🤣🤣
I actually meant the two bodies of the cabinets vs the doors but it made a good pun. :) Thanks for watching.

Have you ever thought to make a heavy duty nice diy dog crate? Those impact dog crates are like 1300 and have always wondered about a wood alternative
Wow, this project was sooo awesome!😁👏👏👏 💖🌹
Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying the Series. Thanks for watching.

Columbia House look out!!!!!!!!
A couple of rough pieces of plywood on this build lol. Hell of a warp on a couple of those panels. It worked out in the end but i had my concerns 😅
Any info on the loft ladder you installed?
watch the video

Awesome!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
I drink to much to not have a railing up there!
The Railing is being custom made so wasn't up at the time of this video. Stay tune for the install. Thanks for watching.
How did you cut the angle with the cnc? Been trying to figure that out and haven’t gotten it right yet.
Could you cut dado with a skill saw and then chisel out the remains?
It would be hard with the skill saw, just because of the curve of the blade. It also be a lot of passes with that kind of tool. A router would be your better bet. Hahaha you laugh about it looking like a casket.... But seriously possible 5th business basic or custom caskets is a great idea !!!
In France, are French cleats just known as cleats?

*Records or vinyl… never vinyls 👎
Who's gonna tell her "vinyls" is not a word?
Some douche bag who is bothered by it. I am guessing you are the right troll for the job.
“Large vinyl collection”? ….. umm no. My friend had 137 milk crates stuffed with vinyls. THAT’S a large collection, yours is normal.
