Have to say, these videos are more enjoyable than the "official" video they put out. This captures the music and what it was like to be there MUCH more.
The real story here is jimmys not playing Kashmir with his famed danelectro and that plant still flips his hair at every cymbal crash perfectly ladies and gentlemen we are witnessing the hammer of the gods.
This song could not have been performed any better. Led Zep is still THE best band, no other compares with Plant on vocals, Page on guitar, their tracelike rhythms, and the way they switch up the beat during songs is incredible. It's like they take us on mini-adventures with each of their songs. LED ZEP ROCKS FOREVER!!!! Thx for posting!!!
Being there was more awesome than any recording can prove. I am speaking to the shows in the 70's that I saw, many of which have bootlegs and soundboards released.
True hammer of the gods! This is the by far the best performance of this song! LED ZEPPELIN will live forever, even though their bodies won't. Best band to ever come together. Period. End of story.
Yes, indeed, The HAMMER OF THE GODS ! ! ! ! Zeppelin's most awesome song from their 1977 US Tour, hands down. Pretty good --30-- years later. Blows everything else away, however great everything else --is--.
I remember people posting vids like only a half hour after the show was done before the Zep legal team had them all taken down until they got the official vid out. What I remember most is how APESHIT the crowd went when Percy blew his nuts all over that bridge. It got LOUD. He knew deep down he was never going to be doing it again in this kind of setting and he totally emptied the tank. It was majestic.
The BEST Zeppelin song-- no contest. Stairway to Heaven is great if you're high, this one is primitive, on my all time "Best songs to F*ck By" list. Turn up the base, play it loud...
I LOVE the Stones but Zeppelin, man,I always want more,Plant still has a powerful voice and Page is in a class of his own.I love seeing him strut his stuff,he gives us the impression he still feels likes a kid.Well I feel like a teenager listening to them.Lone live Led Zep!!!!!!
an concert I dream if happening again, happened one, and once 2 years before I was born, Now the only chance I have at watching these guys live is through my screen,Legends
Hard to believe this was five years ago already. Just for perspective: five years after Zeppelin started (1969-1973), they'd already released Zeppelin I, II, III, IV, and Houses of the Holy; toured more than 20 times (including their famed Madison Square Garden shows); and were halfway through their career as a band.
That was fucking incredible and not even on a pro camera! I actually have goosebumps, realy hope it gets released on dvd and blu ray soon, whoever was there you are so lucky and i envy you.
They were absolutely 30 watt amps. The sound engineer for the concert did an interview with FOH Magazine where he talked about it. There is also video on TH-cam where reps from Orange talk about the amp (Orange AD30 that they built for Jimmy for the show). Anyway my point was more how surprising it was that he didn't use the Marshalls at all.
The DVD version of this performance is enhanced. They took out the few parts that Page messed up and Plant was out of sync. Emphasis on the FEW parts. This video is more authentic, like you're actually there.
Oops. It's all gone a bit hazy where your argument should be. Bye bye. Oh, the gig was great, by the way...but I'm sure the DVD will be just as good as being there, for someone on such heavy meds.
Maybe he is like any other 65 yr old man in the world and would feel a bit silly yelling 'squeeze my lemon ' and strutting around like a peacock .It's a shame some fans dont undestand that ...
Screw that, no one takes that literally, it's not like he's 60 and singing NWA songs, he is singing rock and roll songs... hey and maybe he doesn't have to play the lemon song, ever thought about that? He can do plenty of classics still fit for a middle aged man.
tired of doing stairway, that doesn't even seem logical.... zeppelin is known for many songs, he simply just doesn't want to look like a bored old guy like the rolling stones, that's what he said, he doesn't understand it's not about that, it's about pleasing the new and old generation of fans who wish they could hear and seem them play live.
Personal videos no be allowed on You Tube. The numbers visiting this an others like this are extremely misleading. Music is impeccable but the video SUCKS.

Amazing. This version of Kashmir sounds as good as any live version from the 70s, if not better than most.
This song could not have been performed any better. It was this good and this powerful in 1977. (And even a bit better, because John Henry).
The drumming is perfect. John would be proud. Thanks Jason.
I had heard rumors that this show wasn't that good. This proved me wrong. Led Zeppelin Forever.
Being there was more awesome than any recording can prove. I am speaking to the shows in the 70's that I saw, many of which have bootlegs and soundboards released.
It started a bit clanky but after the first three songs they got it together.
@@jayrusnakgood times bad times was great
Best Rock Song Ever. I have to separate genres, but holy friggin moley, has there ever been a more perfect song?
True hammer of the gods! This is the by far the best performance of this song! LED ZEPPELIN will live forever, even though their bodies won't. Best band to ever come together. Period. End of story.
This is the most powerful version of this song ever released.
Truly the Best performance professionally recorded of Kashmir. Blows the studio version out of the water.
that performance of Kashmir brought the O2 Arena to the ground
In 1977, Kashmir was THE highlight of the concert. True fact.

Undoubtably the greatest, most mesmerizing riff ever!!
jason bohnam on drums.... im shure his father would be proud

Led zeppelin saved my life
how many more times is their best song ever.... or maybe, just maybe..... there isn't a best led zeppelin song, they are all great in their own way
I'd would pay anything to see these guys live!
Jimmy just struts around like it's nobody's business, effortless. MAESTRO!!! Robert still has the PIPES!
Rock Legend! Power groove and awesome guitar tone....
I was very fortunate to get a ticket for this gig, still have the t shirt, blew my mind.

Love that Jim Morrison reference at the start!

Please God, Allow a reunion tour to happen. Amen.
Aside from this piece being a beethoven-esque moment, the light show really makes the mood swing. Timing is perfect.
it seems the DVD/BLU-Ray release has been delayed indefinitely due to a leak of the rehearsals. Such a shame because there are so many who want it.
Led Zeppelin to go back for another, please!
insane, insane, insane
Jason Bonham may not have his daddy's foot, but he's certainly got his soul
No One on earth can play just like John Henry Bonham!!!
NO ONE on this Earth can ever replace John Bonham.
@@HardRockMaster7577 you have no soul about drums.. so sh*t the f*ck up dude
@@barkerzz4556 What a pleasant person your are !!
wow! after 40 years they still fucking have it!!!!
oh god this would have been epic. life dream bucket list item to see them live. aaaggh.
I saw them 8 times in the 70's. But... I never got to see Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, or The Beatles live.
This song is just so Heavy! The guitar, those drums! Just fuck! no way to describe it. Id give anything to see them live!
"Out here on the perimeter, there are no stars. Out here, we is stoned. Immaculate." From "The Wasp (Texas Radio And The Big Beat)"
Good points from both of you. I saw Led Zep when a kid at Newcastle City Hall Dec 1971 - they were incredible.
All in agreement with your statement. I've also firmly believed, IMO, this is the best 8:28 ever put down on a record. :-)
The DVD version of this performance is enhanced. They took out the few parts that Page messed up and Plant was out of sync. Emphasis on the FEW parts. This video is more authentic, like you're actually there.
I found the whacky video editing in the official release annoying.
This song is amazing
5:09 - 5- 13 .How many drmrs would have fked it up there?
Nice drum fills at 4:34 and 8:06
ojala algun dia se vuelvan a juntar, por dioooooossssssss que banda!!!!!!!!
3:10 he can still do it :)
Mindblowing
wow !! amazingly true!
Interesting to note that Jimmy was plugged into the Orange 30 watt amps, and not his Marshalls. In fact, he didn't even have the Marshalls turned on.
Awesome!
Awesome.
And btw---- they should give us this great Document of awesome Music as an Dvd !!!
@livewireguy Thier is no date but they might just maybe release it they could release it at any time they wanted maybe 2 years from know no one knows.
How true!!!!
@jimihendrixtribute Zildjian cast Avedis I think... Zildjians for sure.. top of the line of course for such an occasion
@theopio1 He's back there playing his keyboard parts on this song.
That was fkin killer, cheers!
Nope. The original recording is the Danelectro guitar, which he also used live most of the time.
Giants!
Absolutely fucking MIND BLOWING.
And I'm pretty sure he used #2 to play the song on the original recording as well.
Por favor necesito verlos!!
@theopio1 Keyboards 2:03
:) Now they did ! ...:)
Old news. He played it on a Les Paul (looks like his #2) at Earls Court in 1975.
Great sounding show. The MTV edit style is unnerving. Why show Page during the obvious Jones solo?
Jimmy didn't bring out #1 for this show?
Robbie still got it!
Yes, and he's singing this "Led Zeppelin" style... the style I prefer over ALL other incarnations!!!!!!!!!!
3/4 of Led zeppelin will destroy a full band anyday.
solo faltaba BONZO y la banda estaría completa .
only 37000 klicks?? wtf ?
they have
Oops. It's all gone a bit hazy where your argument should be. Bye bye. Oh, the gig was great, by the way...but I'm sure the DVD will be just as good as being there, for someone on such heavy meds.
Has an official dvd been released of this show yet? is it available?
I know that, we're talking about the guitar he played this on at Earl's Court.
do u see uncle jimmy telling jason "good job" ?
Maybe he is like any other 65 yr old man in the world and would feel a bit silly yelling 'squeeze my lemon ' and strutting around like a peacock .It's a shame some fans dont undestand that ...
well I have never heard of any band releasing a live album nowadays where the audio isnt enhanced and the mistakes edited
Screw that, no one takes that literally, it's not like he's 60 and singing NWA songs, he is singing rock and roll songs... hey and maybe he doesn't have to play the lemon song, ever thought about that? He can do plenty of classics still fit for a middle aged man.

I WANT A FUCKING TOUR!!!!
'actually its his candy apple red les paul that has been retrofitted with a parsons - white b-bender.

This site is called TH-cam for a reason.
well I ve got news for ya , it aint happening . And that is as it should be
Thought he would sound alot more like his dad ?
which part is he playing differently?
This is as good as Kashmir could be without John Henry Bonham (R.I.P.)
@hedANDalice sogreat!
And mine Jimmy :-)

Tik Tok is calling....
Zeppelin were done with when Bonzo died. The remaining members agreed that, and no-one else has the right to dispute it. Get over it.
True. They were creatively done. And there was no need to be a Tribute band. John Bonham was the Heart & Soul of Led Fng Zeppelin.
You're right. I'll do that. Good luck with the spelling bee.
without bonzo? HOW????
Plant turned it down because, amongst other reasons, he was already busy recording and touring. Not exactly 'sitting on his lazy ass', now is he?
Plant's done with the Robert Plant of LZ, except for this show, he brought the LZ RP back.. for one show only.
Lol, and the Stones call themselves the Greatest Rock n Roll band...Please
