Attending cons is something I have been unsure about. I've never been to one before, and the thought of attending makes me terribly anxious. Yet... I sort of want to go to one.
Sin I know exactly how you feel! Just thinking about a con makes my social anxiety spike up... but want to go to one so bad!!! Last January I almost went to further confusion... but I got so anxious I backed out ;-;
Try going to a small one, then if you enjoy it, you can go bigger and bigger. Pocarri also mentioned in another video that plush props can be good for anxiety relief for some people (like me!)

i mean, I'm not pocari.. but I'd recommend doing local furmeets first? I'm a pretty shy person myself, and I'm brand new to meets, cons, etc, but I went to one yesterday and ended up pretty much taking charge while waiting for the actual people in charge to show up. Start small and build up!

TIP: If you don't have a head or bodysuit dryer, you can buy a "boot dryer," which is basically 2 upward-facing pipes that blow warm air. You can then get some PVC piping and connectors and cut/attach them into a basic shape (stick figure) that you can detach and put together whenever to dry your suit.

Amber Waldron survival tips? *Water bring water* even if you aren’t suiting and also have money and don’t spend it all at the convention make sure you’re able to get home! :D If fursuiting: I would know where the headless lounge is that room is EXTREMELY important for a suiter Have a handler with you they help you see things that are in your blind spots just help you get around and with a lot that you can’t do in suit Take many breaks while suiting it gets very hot even if you don’t feel hot I would take breaks and know how far you can go in suit Out of suit: I would bring water and a lot of it Lots of money because of things like food, ride home if you don’t have one, extra things at conventions like shows, and the dealers den As a fursuiter I don’t have too much on this sorry if this isn’t very helpful because it’s so late

I absolutely love your videos! ❤️ I have only been able to go to really really small cons around me with maybe 3 rooms in them. after an hour or two I don't know what else to do (small come with no panels). I'm used to giant anime cons and I am just now learning that fur cons are more about meeting and chatting with people, but I'm really nervous amd paranoid in the beginning of a con. I never approach people in anime cons because they always look very busy. Everybody seems to already have groups and cliques in either type of con and I don't want to bother them. I want to make friends at cons but not if a big group paid lots of reg. money to hang out together. I don't want to intrude but I want to have fun. And it also seems much harder without a fursuit. Help???
I got to go to FWA this past year and I kinda really want to go again even though it's not local at all axcvb Also with plane tickets it's best to buy them about 6 weeks before the event because that's usually when they're cheapest (at least in the US?) ALSO before you buy a plane ticket it's a good idea to either use your browser's incognito mode (ctrl + shift + n) or to clear your cookies because there are places that will raise the price when you revisit the page

It's weird how my fursona color scheme is almost an inverted version of Pocari's colors but not like most of the fur is white and the markings are blue with the hair being blue. Well the hair is portrayed differently each time sometimes it's blue sometimes it's blue and purple sometimes it's white sometimes white and blue though the first time the hair was completely white the second time it was blue and white and then white and blue and then the third and final time it was blue and purple

Here’s a tip! : If you are scared about packing your head ,or anything that might be easily broken, you could bring it as a carry on! I suggest those reusable shopping bags!

If you’re traveling by car or train and your suit is reasonably small, a kit bag is a good option. I’m currently on the 6 hour train ride from London to Glasgow for ScotiaCon, and my fursuit (a partial with a foam head) is currently stashed behind me in my old sports bag from secondary school.
I really wish I'd known about fursuit spray before the first time I wore my Fluttershy fursuit at Bronycon. By the third day I had caught con crud and while my twin was kind enough to wear my suit that last day, I was really insistent on wearing it for the closing ceremony. But that whole time we stood in line for it I had to have a fan aimed at my mouth constantly in order to be able to breathe at all. (Luckily we found a spot by the wall where I could have the head and top half off during the ceremony itself but yeah...) It was really sad especially because there was a little kid with his parents standing behind be in line that whole time we waited to get into the ceremony and I had to just stand there while my twin and his parents had to keep telling him Fluttershy couldn't play with him. :c In short: *GET FURSUIT SPRAY AND DISINFECT YOUR SUITS DAMMIT!* Con crud is not a joke and can get you before the con is even over
I have a important question? actually around 2. what if the furry con's like 40 mins away and you don't have to book a hotel room or something? and also can you just go there for 1 day and only pay for 1 day or maybe 2? this is important because i live close enough to a furry con to drive there so can you answer these questions and thanks!
Of course you can just drive. Having a hotel room is not necessary, if you don't need it. For ticket questions, you should check the website of the convention you want to go to, because there you'll find what types of tickets they offer.
You don't have to book a room, but I generally do it anyway because it's nice having a place to sit down and have your stuff, but if price is the concern, driving's fine! A lot of cons will have pay or one day, I haven't seen 2- day ones, you could get either two one days but it's usually cheaper at that point to get a 3 day pass. Also, Saturday's usually the best day to go if you have to pick one day to go!
Depends. If you're driving and it's just a mask/ears- let it sit in the backseat or floor of the car so it won't be squished. (Or carry it if that's manageable) If you're flying, bring a carry-on bag to keep your dino mask in separate from your other luggage.
for vacuum bags you can try bringing one of those small hand held vacuums to reseal stuff (no guarentee this works). if you don't have one thats accessible you could probably manage to haphazardly use the back side of a hair dryer (the part the air gets sucked through) to vacuum seal something if you're THAT desperate since most hotels have a hair dryer that comes with the room yet this probably won't end up working very well. It's best to just ask hotel staff to borrow one of their vacuums
The map sounds like a great idea BUT. It is mostly outdated, still showing events from 2016 and 2017. And as for 2018 and 2019 there are almost none on that map. If you go to the sites main page (en.wikifur.com/wiki/WikiFur_Furry_Central) you have a much more complete "upcoming events" list - without map, though. There are about 80 events still upcoming in 2018 and the map shows only about 10 of these. I guess the idea of using that map pretty much died. I don't know how I ended up perceiving this, but same shirt as in episode one.
fyi for all the uk lovelies: fursuiters are common and welcome at the mcm comic con! there's one in manchester, liverpool, and london and all ages are welcomed :D
PROTIP!!!!! Pelican cases are the best! Ever! Get them!!! They are expensive, but incredibly durable and lined with high quality foam, so any break-able bits are no stress.

Side note: not all fursuit sprays disinfect. Some are just scented.
