    To be honest, I think E.B should've apologized to Guy, and vice versa. What Guy did was wrong and was narrow-minded about the yooks, but he was right about the zooks could've thrown E.B in jail, but overall he had good intention to keep E.B safe, in the wrong way yes, but for the right reason yes. E.B she has the right to be mad at Guy, but she was way too hard on him, especially calling a terrible father and even a monster, she could've at least been more empathetic towards him by understanding his position instead of demonizing him, I understand she is a kid, but it's not okay for kids to talk to their parents like that, especially parents who care about you z lot.

      I've thought the same thing! Both sides definitely had their faults, but what E.B said was way too harsh. Guy has shown to really care about her well being, like saving her when she was about to fall. I hate that we never really got a good resolution to their conflict. I mean, they hug in the end, but there wasn't an exchange of apologies or anything. Guy even gets irritated with E.B's calls to Looka raising the phone bill. That's just one of the few nitpicks I have with this season, but overall it was still very good.

    Can we appreciate that E.B. never says “you’re not my dad” to Guy the whole time she’s upset at him?
    It shows she genuinely thinks of Guy as her dad

    • @disneyfan9134
      @disneyfan9134 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Well that’s true but it still ticks me off the way she said to Guy that he’s “gonna be a terrible father to this baby because “he’s” been terrible to her” and that she doesn’t really learn her lesson or even apologize to Guy for her mistakes, even though we have seen in previous scenes that Guy has really proven to be a great if amazing stepdad and really does genuinely loves and cares about her safety and well-being, and even saves her life not once, not twice but three times which is basically the complete opposite to what she’s said to Guy. Though you could argue that she was just angry with Guy in the moment and when we do get angry with someone we loved, we really tend to say things that we don’t truly mean and in EB’s case, she just feels angry, hurt and betrayed by Guy because 1) he didn’t believe her or want to listen to her when she told him that the Yooks are NOT bad people and 2) he put Luca in jail unintentionally which seem to be the right thing at the time but it ended with really bad consequences that ended up costing him and his relationship with EB and as a result, EB becomes very angry and distant with him. It still really pisses me off that she and Guy never really got to fully work out their differences and their issues together but I guess maybe if the writers do decide to make a season 3, they will at least developed their relationship a million times better than in the second season and at least have her and Guy fully apologize and make up a lot better. I don’t hate EB as a character but it’s just has everything to do with the writing and how out of character they written her that way. But then again, that’s just my own opinion.
      How do you guys feel about EB and her relationship with Guy in the second season? I like to hear all your own thoughts and opinions but let’s keep it all respectful, pretty please?

      @@disneyfan9134 Their relationship was pretty solid in the start of the season, but definitely went downhill towards the end and hopefully if there ever is a 3rd season, their relationship will be restored

    • @disneyfan9134
      @disneyfan9134 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@lesliea.1019 Yeah I noticed that too even on the first watch. I felt like their relationship wasn’t really handled or written the very best. If they started off with them having their issue FIRST and then have them have a pretty solid and closer relationship, it would have been much much better than what we ended up getting in the final version. The way it was handled in this second season just makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. It just feels like bad writing to me.
      To give the writers from the first season some credit, they did at least FULLY DEVELOPED the relationship between Michellee and EB and made them grow and see eye to eye much better than EB and Guy in the second season.
      At the beginning of the first season, EB was feeling very annoyed, frustrated and restless because her mom is being way too overly protective of her to the point that Michellee outright refuses allow her to get out, explore, try new things, have fun and be a kid so it makes perfect sense why EB would become so rebellious and impulsive because she WANTS to get out and explore, she WANTS to be free from her mother’s grasp, she WANTS to do things that she really wants to do and try new things and she WANTS to have fun and ACTUALLY be a kid and BE her own person instead of being stuck by her mother’s side. It’s because she’s trying to break free from her mother’s overbearing grasp. EB showed more emotion such as annoyance, boredom, frustration, sadness and even anger toward Michellee and showed signs of rebelliousness, impulsiveness, recklessness and fearlessness because of it. To EB, Michellee is being completely unreasonable, boring, overprotective and a control freak to the point where she doesn’t even allow EB to grow or experience anything new and exciting that EB wants to try for herself
      But to Michellee, EB is fragile and delicate (but in reality, she’s the complete opposite of that) and that SHE’S her fricken precious baby whom she has given birth to and raised as a single widow mother so of course she’s going to be a little more protective towards her.
      EB however doesn’t fully understand the sacrifice that Michellee went through to provide all the necessities at first and really did believe that her mom is the bad guy and s purposefully making her life a living hell when in reality, Michellee is just afraid of the world and just wants the very best for EB because she loved EB very very much and just didn’t want anything bad to happened to her and there’s nothing really wrong with that and even though Michellee did go overboard, it’s still well-meaning. However the way Michellee treats EB is NOT a very healthy way of parenting from her putting on a magnetic bracelet on EB to make EB come back to her by force against EB’s will to wrapping EB up in bubble wrap in the car ride to the bed and breakfast to not allowing her to do anything that kids her age would have fun with. But I think it’s safe to say that it’s pretty clear that Michellee is just struggling to cope mentally with letting go of her daughter and the fact that her daughter is growing up. She did eventually realized near the end that her helicopter parenting ways has been hurting her relationship with EB more and more and that it’s not the healthiest for either of them. She FINALLY does learn by the end that she can’t control her daughter and that she has to let EB follow her heart, trust her enough to know that figure things out on her own and just let be a kid and EB does learn to fully understand why Michellee is the way she is, what her mom really had to go through to give EB a better life by giving up her dream of being an artist and that her mom is just like any other person with big dreams dashed away.
      If the second season had given us fans the same kind of proper character development and growth to allow more time for Guy and EB to really GROW and DEVELOPED the father-daughter relationship and have a PROPER and GENUINE resolution, this would have worked much better and much better handled and thought out.
      I really hope that if they do decide to make season 3, the writing, character development and the characters’ relationships with other characters will be much more fleshed out and much more better developed and handled a lot better than the second season.

  • @disneyfan9134
    @disneyfan9134 2 ปีที่แล้ว +24

    One the one hand, I don’t blame EB for getting very pissed off and blowing up at Guy for putting Looka in jail, I mean Guy was being kind of unreasonable jerk to her for not taking her feelings for Looka into consideration and refusing to listen to her when EB tries to tell him that the Yooks aren’t bad people, that this so-called war was all a great big misunderstanding over how the Yooks/Zooks buttered their toast and that both Yookia and Zookia are practically and literally the same in every way but EB is way too unlikable and out of character to the point where she comes off as an bitch the way she outright flat out said to Guy that he “was gonna be a terrible father to his baby because he’s been terrible to her.” You can see how genuinely sad and hurt Guy reacts to her harsh comment and he just feels downright emotionally destroyed by EB’s words. EB SHOULD apologize to Guy for her mean words and for not being understanding with him. By in the end, I NEVER got any indication if she ever actually apologize to Guy for the mean things she said to him or if she and Guy ever had a quiet heart-to-heart talk where they both apologize for their actions and talked things through.
    But on the other hand, Guy was only trying to protect her because he loves and cares about her well-being very much and that he was trying to be a very good stepdad to her by only doing what’s best for her but he comes off as an overbearing and overprotective and that he didn’t really think about what he did wrong as a person. But to be fair, he’s new at learning what it means to be a parent to EB so of course he’s gonna make stupid mistakes and say hurtful things every so often. Parents in general, mess up and make mistakes just like kids. They’re still learning, still growing, still figuring out how to balance on looking after their kids, trying to be good role model to them and being a great parent while also not trying to be overbearing and overprotective with them without screwing things up. In Guy’s case, he HAS been the best dad to EB, let alone a stepdad to her and has shown throughout the second season that he has been a great provider to EB, Michellee and his newborn baby son, saved EB’s life multiple times and protect EB on their journey (despite how reckless and stupid EB can be sometimes), tries to make an effort to fix things when he makes mistakes.
    Overall, I really wished they had been given more time in the second series for them to fully make up, apologize to each other and have a proper resolution than what we got. But that’s just all my opinion and I have a pretty good feeling that I’m clearly not the only one who feels this way about Guy and EB’s conflict.

      EB was out of line with her comment, however, it was said out of anger. Don't get me wrong, I understand why Guy did what he did. If I had been in his shoes I would have done exactly the same thing. With that said, I don't blame EB for reacting the way she did. She feels betrayed by her stepfather. Because of Guy a boy she likes is in jail. Not to mention that it looks like she had betrayed him. That's not an easy thing to get over. To EB Guy had been a terrible father. It's not true of course, but when a kid is angry at their parents they often think they're the worst in the world. The situation could have been resolved a little better, but as is it works fine.

      Watching EB and Guy bicker and argue really reminds me of King Trition and Ariel from the Little Mermaid. Really think about it and hear me out on this. Both Guy and King Triton only see the Yooks/Humans as monsters, they don’t really take their daughters’ feelings into consideration, they’re both very stubborn, overbearing, overprotective but still loving, forgiving and genuinely do care about their daughters but just filled with hatred and anger due to their experiences. With Guy, it’s just being brainwashed and manipulated by Yooks/Zooks propaganda whereas with King Triton, he lost his wife in a pirate attack. But unlike King Triton, Guy is not really threatening towards EB, tries to prevent EB from getting killed and even saves her life multiple times. But to give King Triton some credit, he does at least sacrificed himself to save Ariel from getting owned to Ursula by getting turned into Ursula’s sea creature plant-thingy. I don’t know he just now belongs to Ursula and takes Ariel’s place as a result just to save his daughter’s life. And at the end of the movie, King Triton realizes that Ariel truly loves Prince Eric (the human) and that he can’t control his daughter and has to let her follow her heart. Okay, letting her get married at a very young age is a bit extreme but at least he and his daughter made up and is letting her make decisions for herself and that’s all that matters, even if it is questionable.
      For Guy, he doesn’t even try make up for his mistakes. He still strongly believes that the Yooks are evil and the Zooks are good people and still argues with EB and it’s only until he starts realizes the consequences that the Zooks only want his inventions to explode, that EB was right about Zooks only caring about his inventions blowing up and also gets some advice and parenting wisdom from Michellee whom turns out to try to be the REAL peacemaker between the two, that he changes his mind and tries to mend his relationship with EB. But my problem is that, he doesn’t really meet Looka or even gets a chance to to talk to him and he NEVER finds out about the truth behind the Yookia/Zookia war so by having him realize his mistake just feels completely empty.
      EB and Ariel are both very similar in many ways. They’re both stubborn, adventurous, curious and see the world much more differently than their dads, mainly because both Ariel and EB see the good in the Yooks/Humans. They both get in trouble and get into fights with their dads which causes both Ariel and EB to completely resent them and rebelled against their fathers that resulted in them doing the most stupid and selfish acts that end up hurting the ones they loved very much.
      But to give Ariel some credit, she does at least apologize to her dad for signing the contract with Ursula and for putting his life at risk.
      EB on the other hand DOESN’T even apologize to Guy for all the things she put him through. She acts like a spoiled brat who can’t see or realize what Guy goes through to protect her, let alone provide for her and gets so pissed off with Guy that she’s goes so far as to tell him that he’s going to be a terrible father to the baby because he’s been terrible to her which ironically really isn’t the case at all. She never realizes her mistakes nor owns up to her mistakes, the result being is that she learned absolutely nothing and GETS EXACTLY WHAT SHE WANTS!!!! 😡😡😡

    TBH, I would think EB being this bitter would be a lot better if she eventually realized how some of her comments were flat out uncalled for, kind of like what they did with Guy lashing out at Sam in the first season. I wouldn’t say it’s 100% out of character for her as bitterness can grow as you grow older and become more aware of the world and Guy did make a lot of hasty decisions but my issue is that it happens way too quickly with little build up as both characters don’t get the amount of screen time together as they should, especially compared to Guy and Sam in the first season, and it doesn’t feel like either of them grow from it, especially towards each other, nor do they face reprocussions.

      EB has to learn to be more empathetic and more understanding towards both her mom and Guy the hard way and learn to be thankful that Guy and her mom both loved her very much and just only want what’s really best for her. EB should have told Michellee what really happened between her and Guy and how and what Guy did to her that made her sooo angry and resentful towards him when Michellee came over to surprise her, telling EB that she’s going to be a big sister to her unborn baby half sibling. I mean Michellee seems like a very understanding and wise women, I’m sure she should have been able to play a huge part in helping EB and Guy repair and heal their strained relationship and make them both see eye to eye and help them to realized that they were both in the wrong over this war yook/zook propaganda.
      Guy on the other hand has to learn to trust people especially Pam and not succumb to this yook/zook propaganda in the first place. He also has to learn that not everything is as black and white as it seems and to not let his prejudices/distrust of the yooks come between him and his loved ones.
      I feel that both Guy and EB should learned to not let their different views on this zookia/yookia war come between them and just learn to listen and understand one another. I mean Guy did explain to EB that the reason he’s being such a total smuntz is because he’s understand a lot of stress and pressure at his new job and he’s trying to work very hard at his new job offer so that he can be able to provide both EB and Michellee especially now that Michellee is pregnant again. So now this is putting Guy into a stressful position.
      EB should have explain to Guy why she went over the wall when she knew she wasn’t supposed to, what really did happened and what she and Looka discovered the whole truth about how Yookia and Zookia got to be the way it is now. If EB actually did take Guy up to Yookia and show him the truth and if Guy hadn’t got Looka put in jail due to his stupid prejudices against the Yooks, then Guy and EB wouldn’t be having this pitiful fight in the first place. Just saying. But u guys know what I mean, right?

      What you guys talking about? EB is a nice girl, and wanted to see things in the outside world, and have a childhood life, but it's just that guy really needed a relationship, and wanted a better life with someone else. But Guy being a stepfather, is not actually I had in mind and not what I wanted him to be. But Guy married a single overprotective mother with her one child, is not I wanted with Guy to be honest.
