Here are some suggestions! Cactown, not that specific bcs there are cacti everywhere. Cadaver town, because i saw a lot of skeletons of dead Dinos around. Flat desert town, because its a flat desert town🤡. i dont expect anyone taking this seriously lol, but i just thought of these and saw your comment! love your vids, and keep going like this!❤❤🔥💯🙌
Yesss finally someone mentions how underrated iguanodons are, i love them. They are great for travel, got decent weight, are fast, have unlimited stam when on four legs and can throw a lunch when needed. They've saved me so many times lol.
I don't understand the decision for Morellatops to not be able to pull the cart. They are camels! They are made for it. Imagine a caravan of Morellatops walking across the desert landscape pulling wagons, it'd be like a western.
Hey Syntac, you probably already thought of it, but you could mix your base into the town while keeping the aesthetic, for example, you could make a barn off to the side where you keep the Dino’s, your industrial forge could be hidden in a building that looks like it’s part of a mine, and your storage could be placed in a general store, last but not least, a church to worship the mimus. No matter what, I’m excited to see the base be built
There are green tall plants with the white fuzzy flowers on them that grow in big clusters all over the place that give wood. They are in front of you @38:51 And you use your Morrelatops to farm it. Easy wood. No need for a chainsaw, and no need for a Thorny Dragon. Thousands of wood in about 5 minutes of farming.. Also Morrelatops tames super fast on cactus sap. Use your Camelsaurus. It is a desert map after all..
I use a parasaur for those- the smaller aoe means I don't hit bushes and pick up berries when I don't mean to, saving weight. The stamina is better on a parasaur as well, as is hitting while running. Both are good though
@@everydayninja8721 No. It's not about min maxing.. It's about Wild Card getting it together and actually thinking about the creatures they already have that need a TLC. Thorny Dragon could use a TLC. It's about them fixing the game they already have and not milking the wallet instead. We don't need new content right now. We need them to fix the game and add quality of life to the game. When they add new content they mess up the balance. Because they added new bushes that give wood. Don't get me wrong, I like new content but now the Thorny Dragon serves no purpose but as a novelty and nostalgia. Maybe they should make it gather more wood per swipe to fix it. But I feel they should make it faster and maybe make so that the rider and the Thorny Dragon are not effected by sand storms.. Give it a purpose. In E12 of this series Syntax even talks about how taming the Thorny Dragon was a mistake.. He's right. It's now a waste of time. And where is that new code they kept talking about? We have the same exact bugs as the old code. They never intended to give us new code. It is just an engine update. There is a lot that needs to be fixed. But instead they focus on selling you broken mods and broken DLC..

I only really use thorny dragons to reduce wood weight. I feel like a chainsaw gathers way faster/more wood, and you can use it while riding a thorny dragon.
This is easily my favorite episode so far! My favorite thing in Ark is setting up big dino-trains and taking a caravan across the map to set up a new base or get a huge resource run or something. But I just love the Active Adventure of it all? It forces you to slow down and kind of appreciate the map and the world a bit more maybe? I'm not sure what it is.. I just love it. It feels more real in a sense, maybe, if you have to worry about guiding and protecting a caravan of herbivores because you need them to haul the heavy cargo like stone down from a mountain. But I LOVE a good Base Move caravan episode so much!!
There's a very old mod on Evolved that has been in my mod list since it came out. Hasn't been updated in years, but carts, dino powered grindstone, and dino powered generators are on the mod and I absolutely love it. It's wonky as heck, but still essential to any time I play Ark.
There are large clumps of the large brown aloe plants. They give wood, and they are in such a small cluster it's effective to run around with a high weight thorny dragon and just take it home with a argy.
its been a while but i think i recall the Horse being really useful for getting cactus because you can use the saddle to make the clay on the go, used to load my horse with sand from a Doed and run around getting cactus and making clay
You need a thyla to pull the cart… I’ll never forget the way the cart looked on your showcase video. Would give me so many laughs watching you go get metal
A heads up on the silica pearls if nobody mentioned it yet. They don't stand out as much during the day as they did on ASE. But if you go searching for them at night they glisten and are way easier to see.
You can use a whip to get sand and stone from peebles on the ground, not the most efficient way compared to a doedec, but it's still good for your early game
It seemed like there was a big flat "pillar" overlooking the place you wanted to build your town. Maybe your house can be the Mansion on the hill over the town :D
You could incorporate your base into the town in some way. Maybe the breeding area could resemble stables sort of, the workshop could be put into a building in some way.. storage too.. could be an idea.
There are multiple ways to keep your eyes safe during a partial solar eclipse; being smart and wearing protective gear, or watching a Syntac episode for Scorched Earth. Those are the only two options.
Can't recommend the Procoptodon enough. I found a max level breeding pair, bred a 260 female with a melee mutation on the second or third try, imprinted her and she is AMAZING. Get you a Kangaroo friend
Hello syntac, I don’t think you will see this but… Me and my dad used to watch you all the time and he is in the navy. This means he goes on deployment every few years.. this time is the worst as the ship he is on doesn’t allow him to get good sleep (6 hours at max but usually around 4-5 hours) not including how he has bad food and what he works on is quite annoying that it could even cause hearing loss, we always played ark together and enjoyed your videos but recently it has been immensely tough on him as most people don’t respect him as a chief on the ship, he by far does the most work and yet no one cares to help him with the smallest things that wouldn’t even harm there day. Not to include that he nearly never has free time to do anything unless he is in port somewhere and there for I wanted to reach out to you about it and if you have any tips on staying happy or enjoying things that you may not like? I miss him a lot and it’s really tough so ya.. your amazing syntac and I hope you have an amazing day or night (your videos make every day for me when he is gone)
You definitely gotta train between the town and base. It’d be cool if all the guys would build a train line to the town from base and have a multitrain station
Did you know that you can put vaults onto the train carts which is cool make sure you do that when you build your own train track so you can use it to bring back resources
I wish they'd done more with the maps. Like, how tough would it have been to make The Island 10% bigger and make that extra area just more ocean so it isn't basically a thin sliver of water.
I've seen iguanodons over by the green obelisk. The Gallimimus overlord wants you to claim one of his brethren what with giving you that saddle then sending a baby past your camp several times.

Syntac you can use Morellatops on purpule flowers and you have a chance to get rare mushroms

6:45 thorny dragon has a massive tail, where would the cart go? At the end of the tail? Wouldnt look good. Anything with tail like that cant use cart

Im new in this map and found procoptodon is pretty good for cactus sap harvesting, as moleratops harvest too, but eats sap as well

You could always build your house and when your ready to move. Leave that building and turn it into the first building of your town.
If you need sand, just wait for the 17th sandstorm of the day with your pockets wide open lol
The wagon you are referring to is the ones they used on the expansion west during the 1700’s
The big aloe vera looking bushes give wood while on the thorny dragon.
