Thanks for her, she had poise, grace and had ice in her veins.
There's people that today still asking themselves why Japan did win. And watching this, I can see why she won. Her charisma answering the final question, and saying ''HOLA MÉXICO'' while people gone wild at the auditorio nacional makes me think that this captured judges attention and make her won. Also she's one the few MU titlholders who didn't won weraing an evening gown. SHE WAS WEARING A KIMONO I MEAN THAT'S SO ICONIC!!! This is probably the very edition at Miss Universe where it was overall performance that became the primary basis for crowning the winner. Looking at the Q&A round, each one at the Top 5 in 2007 actually were neck-in-neck at winning the title, but even with a strong answer, U.S.A.'s 4th runner-up finish that year was somewhat sealed after she slipped earlier in the evening gown round. Had Venezuela actually won that year (being the top frontrunner in 2007), and with the same results in 2008 and 2009, they could've won the first ever 3-peat in Miss Universe history. Interestingly, at the same time, had Japan won a year ago, they could've won the first ever back-to-back titles in Miss Universe history in 2007. I still do think that Honey Lee, despite losing at the Top 5, became a standard of comparison for a lot of Asian candidates' approach at winning the competition (especially from the mid-2010s onwards when the placements shifted towards Southeast Asia), and so far, at least for this century, no Brazilian candidate has come close to the one they've sent in 2007.

Malachi It that was the case, there is no need to boo any contestant. I mean USA didn’t have the fault that Mexico was out of the top 5, then why are they getting even with her and not other contestant? Makes no sense, these people have no manners, the end. Ya no estés chingando bye
They had to crown Miss USA for all the patience and respect and tolerance that she had to have that night in front of that audience.
By far, Miss Korea was the best looking contestant in 2007. It was such a bad translation for Korea! If the interpreter had translated her exact words and the content of her answer, it could've been a game changer for Miss Korea and she could've won! The interpreter/translator didn't do a very good job for Miss Korea!
The Translator looks nervous than Miss Korea.
Interpreter. Translators usually do written documents 😊
Japan was the most REAL in her answer. Correct winner.
💯💯💯💯
I can’t forget this, because Japan was so smart at that time
" 1 billion people are watching worlwide... " Vanessa speaks that with eyes targeting the audiences like hinting " 1 billion people are watching your attitude Mexico "
Exactly and at the same time when she said “un momento por favor” to calm the audience
Segundo, NO ERA UN VESTIDO ROJO HERMOSO 😂😂😂.

Japan gave the best answer and her delivery was very spontaneous and sincere.
I'm late here but I appreciate Brazil for comforting USA when she returned to her spot after the boos she received.
It could have been very interesting if Korea 🇰🇷 and Japan 🇯🇵🗾 were left as the Final Two at this year's Miss Universe beauty pageant! Korea 🇰🇷 could also have been an incredible titleholder, as both Korea 🇰🇷 in 2007 and Japan 🇯🇵 in 2006 have beautiful national costumes! Friday, February 21, 2020 at 10:49PM 🇵🇭
When USA said “Buenas Noches Mexico” everyone clapped for her.

Miss Venezuela is the one to beat at this year competition. and Miss Japan did it very well... congrats!

Miss universe; Brasil
1ra: Venezuela
2da Japón
3ra Korea
4ta Usa.
Many will disagree me, and would say (as always) that Brazil or Venezuela deserved to win, but i think, although they were pretty, on the final telecast thery were looking like a telenovela villains
Yeah....Riyo was very very elegant ...in her gown is a Gucci and her earrings and necklace was Bvlgari diamonds $$$
I totally agree! When she said "Hola México" was the moment when she won
Whatever Miss Japan did and say had nothing to do with Her Beauty.....

Muy clara Venezuela.
The Portuguese interpreter is so cute. He waited for Miss Brazil to finish speaking, and then translate what she said!
I just like that all of the candidates are speaking their own language here. It's nice to hear a different language from all the candidates instead of just hearing them speak English but they couldn't express themselves so well.
What an annoying crowd! No class.
Yeah no etiquette crowd shame on them no discipline no proper education

I think her answer was very redundant to the question so I think her being in 5th place was fair.

@@Pedro-wz8rp No culpo a Trump.

Venezuela and Korea were so stunning.
Now viewing this here it's about who can determine themselves to be the winner now listening to each answer individually on how they respond Venezuela I'll give that 💯 that's honesty diggin it, Korea her answer was good one it was ok, Brazil that was a very understanding point definitely, USA it's sad the audience was too cruel audience get over it Mexico didn't make that cut.....anyway USA answer was a strong point not bad, Japan her answer was very determined to be the winner not a bad answer.
