Thanks a lot Vince; that truly means a lot coming from you! I've also put a link to your lava tutorial in the video description (although I don't know how many people actually bother reading the descriptions!). It's the least I could do since I've learned so much from your awesome hobby cheating series :)
OMG. Speechless. Just got into boardgaming and painting miniatures and I have watched a number of tutorials. Then I find this and it is like a watershed moment of what to do. I realize I may not ever produce something as good as this but it opens my eyes on what can be done. Bless you, incredible!
Again, one of the most sublime tutorial videos. Thank you so much for the fire painting and light effects, as I've had trouble with those for a long time. If ever there were Oscar awards or a Hall of Fame for model painting tutorial videos, you, my good sir, would walk away with them all, and have your own Hall of Fame needing to be built just for all your trophies, awards and screening rooms. Your tutorials have actually gotten me into painting figures I once thought too technical for me, when it comes to fantasy figures, and your Star Wars tutorials have now ended with me being inspired to take up the challenge of making my own conversion and repainting figures for Star Wars Imperial Assault, to expand on the available figure range. I cannot thank you enough for giving everyone so much pleasure and inspiration, and for your utterly beautiful, yet simple and easy to follow videos. All the very best Paul :-D
Zenithal highlights, glaze medium, wet blending, non metallic metals AND OSL??? In one video?!? Amazing work I'll be referring to this one for a long time I think. Thanks for posting!
Really great, Sorastro. The environmental / object-based highlights really are selling this one. Also loved the wet-blending technique for the fire sword. Keep up the great work!
Honestly, your videos are the best. I've watched like 40 other artist's videos in the last while and this one video just blew all of them out of the water. So many techniques showcased. Phenomenal.
i have watched almost all your videos and i must say this has been hands down my favorite. Glad to see you give a shout out to Ben Komets as he is a very talented painter with a much different style!
Thank you Michael! Yes Ben is a truly wonderful painter! I don't have anything like his technique but I did replicate his approach to painting fire from one of his recent Patreon-only videos so really wanted to give him credit for that :)
I just watched a guy painting a miniature for more than 45 minutes and it was so exciting that I even forgot to drink my tea. Thank you for the video and the insight on how the magic happens.
I could watch u all day and do. :) Your finished work has a cohesiveness that takes the finished piece to another level. I can see your strong understanding of color theory / contrast and light in each item. Iam new to games figure painting but have been painting plaster (which in my opinion is too porous to get an accomplished finish)...plus it chips. I am going to try my hand at this using the techniques you shared. Thank you for sharing. You truly are a master at the craft.
Excellent tutorial! I am an artist (drawing, painting, tattoos) and I am just now getting back into painting miniatures for the first time in decades. Your approach and ability to explain something that is complex and making it look easy is inspiring. Thank you! On another note, I have found a paintable caulking by Dap called Kwik Seal Plus that works great for lava. It's very pliable and cleans up easy with water before it dries. The Vallejo water medium is great, but really pricy at $20 a tub. The Dap Kwik Seal Plus is only $4, and available everywhere and will last you forever.
Your best work to date. What a stunning piece! I am particularly inspired by your use of colors in the shades, to balance the cold/warm contrasts across the miniature. On to the painting table I go to finish off Baldric!
This is an incredible paint job. I have been watching painting videos and tutorials for about 2 years now and only found you today. You are definitely in the top of the pile. A few comments from my side. I love your style. It is like no one else I've seen. You know your paints very well, you employ techniques flawlessly and I love how you almost never use just one colour. You keep on mixing it up and that kind of surprised me. I am amazed by how much you actually thin your paints. Some negatives, but this is purely a personal preference, I don't particularly like all the miniatures you choose to paint. I immediately searched for but 40k or Infinity models. But that is purely personal. You are really amazing and I would be happy if I could ever reach the stage you are at. Subscribed and waiting for more cool videos.
Have to say I love the the extra time and effect you put in to the painting of your minis. I enjoy your paint session more than most ,even though I don't think Id have the patience to put that much time into more than one mini. Keep up the great work and thanks for the different color blend ideas. Im used to using one straight shade or another ,but using complimenting colors even in shaded never really occured to me.
Man you are awesome!!! Blood Rage is my next project as soon as I finish Arcadia Quest, man you are at the top of my league and believe me I want to practice a lot to be like you! Thanks for all your hard work!
It's been a while since you've worked on Blood Rage eh! Your videos really help me analyze the process of painting a mini. I started 2 months ago and I'm having a blast painting the minions from Mechs vs Minions.
The Vallejo water texture, when initially dry, looked a lot like snow covered ice. Awesome. I'm contemplating a Frostgrave board and items like this make it easier to imagine..lol..Thanks.
Glad to hear that! By chance, do you have any plans on doing any of the other zombidice black plague minis? I'd personally love to see how you would paint up the boss expansions.
+Vecks Shadeseeker Hi Vecks! Yes - I'm actually painting Clovis in February (sorastro.com/2017/01/31/coming-soon-for-february/) and will be completing the remaining core-set heroes after that, and I would really love to paint the expansion bosses! :)
Wow, amazing; this miniature really looks dynamic. The hands for feet thing is a little weird though and I wasn't sure if that's what I was really seeing at first.
Hey Sorastro's Painting, Good day to you and I hope you are doing well? I just found your channel and really glad I did. WOW! I was looking for how to paint fire on miniatures i.e. swords, camp fires, and I clicked your video. Excellent Job! I really enjoyed watching this Sorastro's Blood Rage Painting Guide Ep.2: The Fire Giant video. Thank you for sharing your time, talents, great attitude, easy to follow paint mixing, great instructions, knowledge, and Super Fantastic creative fun videos. Superb painting, indeed. I subscribed, liked, and shared. I better stop before I write a book. Just a little excited to find such a skilled painter to help me become a better painter on my miniatures. Take care and have a great week. Peace & Joy to you :) Happy Painting and Thank you once again. Back to more videos :P cheers
Complimenti ancora sei davvero bravo.
Thank you Giorgio! It's a shame your son won't let you paint your Blood Rage minis, but thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you like the music too; I'm actually releasing it on an album in the Summer :)
So much extra, but well worth it. I'm curious how you would handle a clear plastic miniature. The Large Fire Elemental (77082) from Bones (Dark Heaven) for example. Its slightly transparent which would add an awesome challenge to incorporate.
I was wondering if instead of the partial non metallic mix ( retributor armor + yellow + white) used for the golden armor , a more simple approach with plain Elven Gold followed by all the relevant shading and highlighting could be used, and what are the benefits of applying a non-metallic approach in this case and in general?
I'm a complete beginner at this and I always watch your videos with this amazing sense of wonder. Thanks for all of your amazing content! I have a very dumb question... How do you take the different measures of paint? Do you dip the brush into the paint, put it in the tray, then clean the brush, and dip it into the other paint? Or do you use separate brushes for this? In the video it seems it's always the same brush but I'm not sure.
Hi Guz! Thanks for the kind comment! I have a slightly larger, older brush which I use to transfer paint from the pots to the palette, and I give it a quick rinse between collecting different colours. After mixing I'll then switch back to my nicer painting brush :)
I want a kind of dark red skin tone on the giant, I have khorne red, any ideas what to mix it with? abbadon black? mournfang brown? bugmans glow? Standard grey?
Hi 80s Wolf! Hmm.. well that really depends on what kind of dark red you want.. all I'd suggest is that you perhaps nudge it a little towards the colder side - perhaps my mixing in a little dark blue/purple (think the colour of red wine) so as to create some contrast with the warmer, more orange tones of the runes and fire OSL. :)
Wow that sword is incredible. Like I told you, I'm thinking of painting my Descent miniatures, the only thing I can think of in that miniature set that I can do this kind of effect is the cloud-thing from the Flesh Moulders. Too bad you don't have a video for those!
Beautiful work your shading and lighting up areas was very impressive. I do have to ask it seems there were several air bubbles that left pits on the model. a couple on his left bicep 1 on his right several more on his calves and abdominal areas. I don't mean this in a bad way but did you not prep the model as much as was needed?
Absolutely incredible work!! Stumbled across it is I have picked up Blood Rage recently as a practice before tackling Rising Sun. Anyway I have a question... You mention on the first base layer using 3 drops of water and 3 of glazing medium. I was wondering what/ how/ if you thinned down the paint for the other base-colours and highlights and if so the ratios.
Thanks a lot Miko! Regarding the thinning question; that really depends on the paint and what I'm doing with it but I typically thin with water using anything up to 50% water, and sometimes more for glazing etc. :)
Thank you Brendan, and good question! I tend to use Lahmian Medium to thin the Citadel Shades and when thinning paints I usually use water, but for spreading quite thin base tones over zenithal highlights I like to use Vallejo's Glaze Medium because of the built-in retarder which slows the drying time of the paint; this lessons the chances of an unfinished part of the model drying, leaving a "tide mark" :)
Thats great to know. I actually used Lahmian Medium instead of Glaze Medium to thin a shade earlier today and was really happy with the results. I usually just wing it and grab the one thats closer but I think being more specific will help with my painting.
I was curious if you had any other ideas for what I could use instead of the black lava and the water effects? I'm on a budget and don't know how much I would use them. Could I just paint the lava on the base without the water? I was thinking for the black lava to maybe mix some sand with white glue and bits of cork. You think that might give me about the right texture? On a side note have you ever considered going into voice acting?
Excelent video! Now I need to make you a question: I don`t have an airbrush and most probably won`t have one for a long time so... how can I make the zenithal painting phase? To be more precise, the grey and white part of the process. Thanks a lot for your time.
Any plans on doing the rest of the Blood Rage minis? I'm not artistic at all and have no vision for planning colors and all that, but with your guides I do a pretty decent job of painting minis.
Hi, thank you for your incredible work! Like many others, you are the one who got me into miniature painting, and I don't want to know how much I've spent since I started. However, it's hard for me to get Vallejo products, and I would really like to have your suggestion for the Citadel equivalent of Pale Blue and Gory Red. Thanks, and I can't wait for the next Blood Rage videos!
Thanks Alexandre! For the Pale Blue you can use Celestra Grey mixed with a small amount of Temple Guard Blue, and for Gory Red you could use Wazdakka Red (or even Mephiston Red or Evil Sunz Scarlet) :)
Sorastro, would you paint this model using different techniques now? Like wetblending etc. ? I am trying to determine what's best used when (when it's better to two-brush blend, wetblend, glaze, layer etc) Any tips? I think I watched many of your videos 10-15 times each by now xD I guess I could say that the skin here is done through more advanced layering, would that be more or less correct?
@@Sorastro You've inspired me man. After 20 years of not doing any painting I decided to go back to it. Your vid was an inspiration to paint colleague's fire giant. Here's how it went. picgra.com/media/2011847039605084236 Took me about 8 hours yesterday start to finish. Runes are sort of meh and don't like the glow I did on the eyes. My OSL is nowhere near your level either. Long way to go :D. However, I like the results of waterblending. First time ever but thanks to you it went down amazingly (although i prefer red on tips of fire instead of white as fire doesn't have the hottest spots at the top nor does it really reflect light, so that's that).
great work as always. looks like i accidentally did wet blending for my Rancor, in Jabba's realm (didn't know the technique's name.) I found it quite effective and fast, even for skin tones
If you don't mind, I'd like to ask a couple of dumb questions about Citadel paints :D 1. Do you use that little plastic bit near the hinges, or do you take it off? 2. Should you use a brush to remove it from the paint well every time? 3. Would you say this is the best paint out there for minis? 4. Is there a way to do highlights this well without zenithol? I can't get an airbrush in my city so it's a problem Sorry, I'm just a poor amateur painter trying his best :)
Hi Captain! OK: 1) That bit is supposed to be there, so I leave it :) 2) I do, but some people like to transfer the paints into dropper bottles (Vallejo style). 3) I think each range has their strengths, with no clear "best rage" out there :) 4) Sure - the zenithal highlights just give us a bit of a head start is all. :)
I love your videos and this fire giant is probably your best work I've seen yet! Have you ever considered wearing gloves when you paint? In every video your hands are absolutely covered in paint and I can't help but think that it can't be good for you in the long run. I've started wearing nitrile gloves myself and the time I save in just washing my hands alone makes it worth it to me, not to mention avoiding possible unforeseen side effects. Love your work and keep it up!
Whoop whoop ! I was hoping so hard for another blood rage video. Excitement all over ! I just started (again) 2 weeks ago, however I did try it before and really messed it up the first time. It was this kind of video(s) that pulled me over to the other side again. Your videos really give the possibillity to try, to start painting minions in a way people can understand how paint works. Therefore, I really reallywould like to thank you !
Thanks a lot Alexandra - I really appreciate that! Minis like the Fire Giant can seem daunting but when broken down into relatively simple steps they're not so scary after all :)
I just started painting last week and your videos are really awesome and helpful! I just have a couple of questions, if you don't mind 😊 1) is there a reason why you didn't use true gold paint for the armour? Is it because it would distract the eye from the osl from the sword? 2) would you think that it would also look good with true gold armour? I am trying to understand what would be the best colour composition for minis. 3) will you please also upload videos on how to paint the other Blood Rage minis? Sorry if these are stupid questions, I am just a beginner 😅
Thanks Jessica! Regarding the armour, I was just going through of phase of experimenting with mixing metallic and non-metallic colours at the time, and sure - you could absolutely use true gold instead. I probably won't get round to covering the rest of the BR minis as videos I'm afraid - sorry! :)
This is an excellent and inspiring video, and thank you kindly for sharing our techniques in such a clear and easily understood manner! It's making me want to try (eek) OSL at long last. I liked your approach to painting the gold metals; is it your own take on NMM technique?
Thanks a lot Christopher! With the armour I was just experimenting tbh - didn't really know what I was doing, but I quite like mixing metallic and non-metallic paints :)
In a while I'm going to paint Blood Rage minis. I'm planning to buy some Vallejo texture paints/pastes. Do you recommend buying Dark Earth (for all those earth surfaces) + Vallejo Snow and Foam (for Frost Giant etc)? I'm having some difficulties finding White Stone :(Great work as always!
Hi Mateusz! Sure, the Dark Earth looks great. It seems to have quite a fine texture (th-cam.com/video/P2VJpAr082g/w-d-xo.html). I've not tried the Snow and Foam so can't really comment there. Another alternative is Citadel's new "Valhallan Blizzard" which - although quite expensive - is quite excellent :)
You sir are the "Bob Ross" of painting miniatures. Just a pleasure to watch.
+Dan Boisvert Thanks Dan! Much appreciated :)
One happy little fire giant. 😊
Excellent Analogy! I agree!
the last 5mins i was saying in my head "ruined!!!!...... :o .......saved!!!!"
MarkSubie Ha ha - yes that part requires a little faith and courage :)
Thanks for the shout out and glad I was able to help. The mini looks absolutely fantastic, very well done sir.
Thanks a lot Vince; that truly means a lot coming from you! I've also put a link to your lava tutorial in the video description (although I don't know how many people actually bother reading the descriptions!). It's the least I could do since I've learned so much from your awesome hobby cheating series :)
enthralled watching... didnt even notice how much time has passed, gives ideas and motivation for my own miniatures
Thank you 0wolfex0! I'm glad you found the video useful :)
OMG.

Thanks again Paul for the high praise! :D
Zenithal highlights, glaze medium, wet blending, non metallic metals AND OSL??? In one video?!? Amazing work I'll be referring to this one for a long time I think. Thanks for posting!
+Chris Ross Ha ha - everything but the kitchen sink! Thanks Chris :)
Hard to believe that this one looks even better than the frost giant, who already got me hooked on your videos! Great Job!
+Darkgreg Thanks a lot Darkgreg! I appreciate that :)
One of, if not the best mini painting tutorials I have seen. Fantastic work!
+Philbrush Thanks a lot Philbrush! I really appreciate that :)
Really great, Sorastro. The environmental / object-based highlights really are selling this one. Also loved the wet-blending technique for the fire sword.
Keep up the great work!
Thanks a lot Tr Razor! I also feel the red light really brings the mini to life! :)
Another amazing video! We just bought Blood Rage and we LOVE the miniatures!
Thanks again Holly! I'm glad you liked this one 😁
Mother of God! previous Giant from BR was magnificent but this one beats everything You've painted until now! Lightning effect is jaw dropping.
Thanks so much Thomas! I'm glad you like it :)
Honestly, your videos are the best. I've watched like 40 other artist's videos in the last while and this one video just blew all of them out of the water. So many techniques showcased. Phenomenal.

Great looking miniature. I really got a lot out of the flames, lava and OSL tips. Another really helpful video.
Awesome - thanks Michael! I'm glad you found it helpful :)
As Wayne and Garth said, "We're not worthy. We're not worthy!" As always, another fantastic video. I learn so much every time I watch you paint.
Ha ha - thank you Jeremy! :)
Absolutely incredible. Still cannot believe how great these board game minis are haha.
+Ether ealist Thanks a lot Ether! :)
Really great stuff. I have this model and I will try to experiment with wet blending with it.

Ridiculously cool OSL, particularly from the lava. Awesome work!
Thanks a lot brewgeek1!
wow you are the Bob Ross of tabletop painting. I love to view your videos while painting.
+Alaska Saedelaere Thanks a lot Alaska! Enjoy painting those happy little flames :)
I've know painted my first miniture like you do, with the basecoat washes and Highlights and it works realy well. Thanks for your Paintig Guide.
Thanks Christian! I'm happy to hear your mini turned out well :)
Loved the armour and the wet blending looked cool love watching your guides.
+tony dethridge Thanks a lot Tony!:)
this mini is a true playground for youtubers. I just bought the game and are overwhelmed by what ppl achieve regarding fir effects.
Just amazing.
Thank you kindly! 😀
That glow is INCREDIBLE! Great work!
+Otherspersons Thank you! I'm glad you like it :)

It's so satisfying to watch. I don't even own any board games. I'm just watching this for the satisfaction.
Thanks so much Chris! I really appreciate that :)
Hallo, wollte mich für die tollen Filme bedanken, ich konnte so viel lernen.
Mach bitte weiter mit deiner Arbeit!
Thank you very much! I'm glad you're enjoying the videos :)
Great video! Really liked the way you did the armour and the OSL was very useful indeed!
Thanks a lot Bethany!
Your tutorials are fantastic! I can't wait to get started on my fire giant! Hopefully this weekend.
+Lee Prosprie Thanks a lot Lee! Enjoy your giant :)
You are just fantastic. I strive to be able to paint source light like you do.
Thank you Richard! I don't think it's technically difficult to do - it's mostly about judging how far to take the effect :)
You are so incredibly talented. Thank you for sharing this!
That's very kind - thank you Tiago! 😊
Amazing. It's pure pleasure to watch your work.
Thanks you sir! That's very kind :)
This was a very satisfying video to watch... so I watched it twice. Great work Sorastro, and thanks for helping me procrastinate from my job ;)
Ha ha - thanks a lot mate!
The Vallejo water texture, when initially dry, looked a lot like snow covered ice. Awesome. I'm contemplating a Frostgrave board and items like this make it easier to imagine..lol..Thanks.
Thank you! Yes - it dries to a very clear, hard finish; I bet it would look great with a little snow dusted on top!
Thank you Sorastro! My model turned out amazing, and I learned so much. 7 more monsters and 5 clans to go....
Thanks Steve! I'm really happy to hear that 😀
Just wanna say, I love your videos! Please keep them coming!
+Vecks Shadeseeker Thanks Vecks! I really appreciate that! I'll keep 'em coming for sure :)

This was mind-boggling! Congratulations.
Thank you Daniel! Broken down into small steps it's quite do-able :)
Fantastic work! Please do more of Blood Rage! :)
Thank you noctaeol! I won't stop until I've at least finished the core box :)
Oooh!, That's great to hear!
so excited to try wet blending. thank you so much for this tutorial. this is so awesome
Thanks Leonard! Have fun :)
You are the best, Please continue this series
+Erivelton Batista Thanks a lot Erivelton! I intend to complete the whole box; it just might take a while :)
Thanks for showing your painting talents for this game!
Thank you Jos! Watch out for the Sea Serpent coming soon... :)
Really awesome job. Lot of different technics. 😍
Thanks Javier! Glad you like it :)

I was wondering if instead of the partial non metallic mix ( retributor armor + yellow + white) used for the golden armor , a more simple approach with plain Elven Gold followed by all the relevant shading and highlighting could be used, and what are the benefits of applying a non-metallic approach in this case and in general?
Hi Abi! Sure - a simple metallic gold/shade approach would be fine for a good tabletop standard 😀
Great job! I really like seeing the fantasy work, particularly the larger minis. Stone Giant next?
Thanks Billy! I'm not sure which I'll be tackling next yet.. :)
I'd vote for the kraken :D
Absolutely amazing work! The light effects are stunning. Waiting anxiously for more BR videos, as it's my future painting project.
Thanks a lot Daniel! The lighting effects were a lot of fun to do and pretty easy too :)
Nice, thank you for the explanation!
No problem :)
Would a very small drop of macrage blue work?
Very nice paint job! The OSL is very realistic like the flame effect! Well done! ;)
Thanks a lot Monte! I'm glad you like the OSL :)
Wow that sword is incredible. Like I told you, I'm thinking of painting my Descent miniatures, the only thing I can think of in that miniature set that I can do this kind of effect is the cloud-thing from the Flesh Moulders. Too bad you don't have a video for those!
Thanks Nicholas! I did actually cover the Flesh Moulders as a PDF guide over on Patreon ages ago.. :)
Simply incredible......
Thanks a lot Jim! I'm glad you enjoyed it 😀
Yes! I was so waiting for this. Newbie painter here, I've finished 2 clans now :) I'll leave the big monsters as the last.
Awesome! I hope you enjoy the big guys :)
+Alex Babcock Thanks Alex! Ha ha - I honestly thought they were just pockmarks in the skin or something :)
I know it's and old video, but your vids are clearly the best to me. And I agree with the Ross Bob comment. hopefully you'll keep it up!!
Thank you so much! I'm happy to know that my older content is still being enjoyed 😀
You sir, are incredibly talented.
+Gains and Gaming Thank you mate! I appreciate that :)
Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. Looking forward to following more of your work. Especially if you move onto BR clans.
Great work. Do you generally have a reason that on some occasions you use Glaze Medium and other times you choose Lahmian Medium??
Hi Chris! I think your idea of using a sand/glue/cork mix for the rocks is great! And you could absolutely just leave the lava sections flat :)
an insane great detailed painting!!!! i love it
+CPT Nemo Thank you CPT! 😀
Yes finally a other Blood Rage ! Thank you sir.
Thank you Francois! :)
another great mini and great tutorial
Thank you very much! :)
Just incredible! Looks amazing!
Thanks a lot Graeme! :)
Excelent video! Now I need to make you a question: I don`t have an airbrush and most probably won`t have one for a long time so... how can I make the zenithal painting phase? To be more precise, the grey and white part of the process. Thanks a lot for your time.
+clash royale tube Thank you! Please see Episode 1 th-cam.com/video/RtHbIfyQHBU/w-d-xo.html for a look at how to zenithal prime with rattle cans :)
Any plans on doing the rest of the Blood Rage minis? I'm not artistic at all and have no vision for planning colors and all that, but with your guides I do a pretty decent job of painting minis.
Hi crash331! Absolutely - I'll be tackling the next monster from Blood Rage in June :)
I think I watched many of your videos 10-15 times each by now xD
I guess I could say that the skin here is done through more advanced layering, would that be more or less correct?
A masterpiece. And I love the music, it's perfect ;).
+bushibayushi Thanks so much! I'm glad you like the music :)
Thx man, u make me thinking about doing some base working for me Blood Rage Monsters ... awesome Paintjob. Cheers Mate!
Thanks a lot Stefan! A bit of basing really adds a lot to a figure, and it's a lot of fun to do :)
Looks awesome. One bit I don't like is the armor color. I don't think citadel metallics, especially new ones mix well with white etc.
Thank you! I think I agree with you - I was never that happy with my handling of the armour on this one :)
@@Sorastro You've inspired me man. After 20 years of not doing any painting I decided to go back to it. Your vid was an inspiration to paint colleague's fire giant. Here's how it went. picgra.com/media/2011847039605084236
Took me about 8 hours yesterday start to finish. Runes are sort of meh and don't like the glow I did on the eyes. My OSL is nowhere near your level either. Long way to go :D. However, I like the results of waterblending. First time ever but thanks to you it went down amazingly (although i prefer red on tips of fire instead of white as fire doesn't have the hottest spots at the top nor does it really reflect light, so that's that).
yeah, I do not own BR but still watching this tutorial is super interesting. well done!
Thank you sir! There are quite a few "mini-tutorials" packed into this that could be applied to a whole range of minis I think :)
great work as always. looks like i accidentally did wet blending for my Rancor, in Jabba's realm (didn't know the technique's name.) I found it quite effective and fast, even for skin tones
Ha! Awesome :)
Bloody hell dude, that was an awesome tutorial.
Thanks a lot Nat! :)
If you don't mind, I'd like to ask a couple of dumb questions about Citadel paints :D
1. Do you use that little plastic bit near the hinges, or do you take it off?
2. Should you use a brush to remove it from the paint well every time?
3. Would you say this is the best paint out there for minis?
4. Is there a way to do highlights this well without zenithol? I can't get an airbrush in my city so it's a problem
Sorry, I'm just a poor amateur painter trying his best :)
Hi Captain! OK:
1) That bit is supposed to be there, so I leave it :)
2) I do, but some people like to transfer the paints into dropper bottles (Vallejo style).
3) I think each range has their strengths, with no clear "best rage" out there :)
4) Sure - the zenithal highlights just give us a bit of a head start is all. :)
Thank you so much!
Fantastic painting!
Thank you Drake! Much appreciated :)
Sei sempre u nomero uno sorastro! Io ti adoro!!!!
Thank you very much!
+Philip Leo (Quasistellar) Thanks a lot Philip! Good idea RE the glove :)
so i probably shouldnt lick my brushes to get the bristles straightened after rinsing in water?? hahaha
+Soulshift Ha ha! Actually I think it's safe as long as you cleanse your mouth with a sip of whisky straight after :)
You paint like I do ;)
Ha ha :)
Would just the use of agrax earthshade be ok for the armor without the coelia greenshade?
Hi Jason! Sure - I think that would look fine :)
I just started painting last week and your videos are really awesome and helpful! I just have a couple of questions, if you don't mind 😊
1) is there a reason why you didn't use true gold paint for the armour?
@@Sorastro thank you for your answer and for your great videos! 😊
@@jessicaw2137 You're very welcome! :D
Thanks for your opinion :) I really appreciate it.
No problem sir! :)
So stoked for this video!!!
+DominionDee Thanks DominionDee! Hope you like it :)
Your paint job is amazing! And you are also the composer of the music? Wow! You sir have multiple talents! :D
