Fyi! The song used in the beginning and the ending card is called Torn Apart by Nervepitch. The entire album is a banger and it's PUBLIC DOMAIN!!

Hey, nice review thanks! Even though we don't yet have an app, we can EQ these bad boys with some external EQ like Wavelet on Android. If you are on iPhone then you are out of luck until we get the app.
But I can tell you that just a little bit of proper EQ does wonders to these and they actually sound really great with all kind of music after that.

I don’t really understand why a v-shaped signature is supposed to be uniquely suited to metal. metal571 preferred darker tunings because they made distorted guitars and cymbals less grating.
That said, the multi-driver setup is interesting. I once owned an ancient AKG headphone with two drivers, and it also had strange separation effects. I always assumed there were good reasons it never caught on, but maybe over-ear hybrids will be the next big craze. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I do prefer a warm neutral sound signature for metal myself. But, I can see why they may have gone with a V shape because the right amount of bass and treble boost can sorta make you feeling you're at a metal concert. (There's also my hearing damage theory like I mentioned in the video lol)
V shaped tunings are fun, and this is definitely a product meant for typical consumers instead of audiophiles. At least it's a well executed V shape and not Raycon levels of mid scooping.
I really would like to try that AKG K340 for that unique driver set up. And see more multi-driver headphones in general. Like it's super common with IEMs and speakers. Wonder why it's not as common with over ear cans

I love them, they are kind of expensive but yes, if you are using a USB-C cable and connect them to a laptop and play FLAC files, it's definitely a better quality rather than connecting them to the phone and playing TH-cam sounds, TH-cam also limits the sound quality right? : )
