    The Sennhieser HD650's, sibling to the Drop HD65XX, has been a first stop for many people curious about the audiophile sound.

    The BTR15 (the newer revision of the BTR5) is great too! The software is a bit janky but it does the job. Fiio is also making a BTR13 as well, the successor to the BTR3, for those who don't need as much power! Also for Android users, Wavelet/Poweramp EQ is nice for system wide EQ.

    I use a pair of Truthear Hexa's for stage production cues / tracks as well as workout buds. They are very very good when you get them sealed properly in your ear. For headphones at home I recently upgraded and picked up a pair of ATH-R70x's. These certainly aren't super budget but I'd consider them a little better that the HD600 series lineup for music because of the less rolled off bass which gives them more versatility, and waaay better in gaming for the soundstage. They're also incredibly lightweight for long listening sessions. I agree though that on a tight budget HD 6xx's are great value.
    I don't believe the amp you use matters much, as long as you're getting the right power delivery to drive your devices then you're fine. If you're buying an amp to specifically color the sound a certain way it's better to use EQ. An amplifier is supposed to be flat, and virtually every amp these days delivers power clean enough that no human could possibly perceive a difference no matter what they try to tell you. A tube amp on the other hand is cool if you're specifically looking for that "old-school" flavor of sound, but I'd rather have tubes be used in a mixing / mastering process rather than applied over everything you're listening to.
    Navigating the audiophile hobby is very difficult these days. There's a lot of snake-oil and an even greater amount of placebo that people swear by as fact ("I swear you gotta use this $6000 amp for your headphones bro or they won't sound good"). My advice is that consistency is key. If you like or dislike a pair of headphones / IEM's see how they measure and compare that measurement with others that were measured on the same equipment to get a feel for the tuning you like. Staging and imaging is something you'll need to hear yourself or find a reviewer you trust on how something performs in those areas.

    Nice, I've got HEAVYS about 2 weeks ago, and they are amazing. Nice noise isolation 4 drivers in each ear, plus twitters. they are also not leaking sound as ATH-AD900X, and they are big : ) but I'm happy, they are not cheap, I do have a discount code if anyone is interested. But man I love them, I was a bit sceptical but they are really nice when it comes to the over-ear big headstones. :) Would be nice to hear your opinion if you have access to them. I do love how they sound while listening to Metal music, but Opera, EDM, DNB, it all sounds really amazing.

    EarPod recommendation = unbelievably based taste confirmed
    they are spectacular for what they are, very overlooked imo. It's weird IEM style design is what makes it sound better than 99% of flat head earbuds out there. I sometimes use mine over the airpdos pro 2s!

    • @TenshinSound
      @TenshinSound  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I think in general it's the seal that IEMs have that give them an edge over flat head earbuds. That seal prevents outside noise from interfering with the music. Plus they ensure a consistent fit, thus a consistent audio delivery. Flat head earbuds' weakness is the frequency response can vary depending on how they fit, so a lot of people perceive them as being worse.

    • @CoffeeGameMovie
      @CoffeeGameMovie 21 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Dont buy that, u can get much better sound in any price range. As in the video in cheaper ranges hifiman he400 etc. if u can pay for it like about 300$ then get a HD600/HD650/6xx and u done.

    • @TenshinSound
      @TenshinSound  14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @D.3.N the M50X have great build quality and isolation. But their sound is not great imo. The bass tends to be very muddy and mask some of the mids, and its peaky treble response leaves some instruments sounding compressed or with a harsh metallic edge that isn't pleasant.
