This is a fairly minor thing, but the feet aren't wrong. They are reproduced in Waverider mode as they appear in Gundam Unicorn, not Gundam Sentinel. Watch the clip of the Zeta Plus trying to escape in Unicorn and you'll see it. Now, whether it should have been animated like it's Gundam Sentinel design is a different story, but the kit is at least correct to the show it's from. The rest of the criticisms are pretty fair, overpriced, knees hamper waverider mode, etc. But just thought I would point that out

Awesome review as always, and a good follow-up to the Metal Robot Spirits Zeta Plus Review from a while back. Well, the figure was the C1 but it doesn't really matter. Keep up the amazing work and I’m excited to see more from you hopefully in the coming months.
just built it couple of days ago.. and while i was generally pleased with the ms mode looks, also noticed the the issue with the knees. well i mostly display my kits in ms mode anyway...generally i like how it looks in ms mode more than the GEP zeta, maybe its the sentinel flair
Personally I like the shorter sabers, i even modified the beam effect from a hg Leo to work on the saber for the RG MK II, which for some reason comes with master grade effects.
While I understand the criticism, I myself got the delta kai, which is pretty similar (especially in arms construction) and loved it, granted I usually keep it in waverider mode, will probably pick this to add it to the waverider army
5:31 I don't really get the horrible from the bottom complaint,since most people wouldn't display it upside down or on its side It's similar to transformers figures,which usually have shite on the bottom to accommodate the transformation cheaply

Yo Citrus, can you do a review of the Zeta A1 MG? I can't find a good one online. I want to buy one to go along with the FAZZ and EXS, but...no idea if it's a statue, a decent for it's time, if it can even move, and if it does, how many parts will fall apart and stuff, please man. I need it bad!
Personally I like those short sabers more, but in stead of two short or two long sabers, I'd prefer one short and one long, with the long one to be used straight or to be manually bent in a slashing effect, should the user want to, but like....who poses with two sabers anyway?

Second part to my comment, I think the feet were made like that, because they sacrificed articulation for accuracy, and the knees... Um... Maybe the knee cap, on the MG sorts swings, like the bottom part extends from the knee, and that's how the MG gets the full wave rider leg... And I guess they couldn't do that on the HG? Yeah I really don't know
They could have hollowed out the lower portion of the leg just a little more, and the knees would've folded in fine. As for the feet, I think designed looked at the other Waverider HGs up to that point, noticed they all have a foot bend, and kept it for this kit without checking the Zeta Plus drawings.
Thank you for pointing that out! I didn't realize until later how much of a hindrance they are, because the hip cannons can't move out of the way at all, like they can on the MG and the action figures. Lifting the legs up is almost impossible with the skirt in place.
I could use your advice: I have trouble placing decals as my hands shake from the medication I am on, also for that reason I usually avoid markers. any workarounds you could think of? thanks.

I love this design and color scheme.. but was so disappointed in the kit, that I gifted it to my neighbor's kid once it was built lol! He loves robots , and is 5, so he isnt concerned with anime accuracy or articulation 😂😄
@citrusjuicebox yeah. The way you make the waverider mode is the exact same process for the Delta Plus. I think the could do a revive Delta Plus and even the Zeta Plus using the revive zeta as the base and it would be awesome

The MG Zeta Plus A1/C1 is still my favorite Gunpla representation of any Zeta Gundam-inspired design. It just gets it right. Granted, it can be hit-or-miss with the hip locking latch, and the articulation is pretty pathetic compared to modern kits, but it's the most stable in poses and lends itself the best to repeated transformation. That the HGUC gets it even worse than the MG, with twelve years' worth of technology on its side, is very disappointing.

The HGUC version still has some good detail. A lot of parts to remove and reconnect to make the wave-rider. Color scheme is good.

This is a great video. I've been considering picked up a Zeta, an A1, and a C1 to display together. I think it would look amazing.
I had many problems with the shoulder parts being loose on the sentinel C1 variant but I love this kit

For mine I keep the backskirt on the Transformation Block because legs are much better articulate without it

I have shakey hands too. What works for me is holding my breath on an exhale. Seems to steady my hands a bit.

simply better Old 1/144 kit of Z plus than HG for transformation systems & renovatable points...
So it's basically a slightly modified Delta Plus? It has the exact same transformation or should i say parts-formation
