Hi, there. I'm transferring from Vegas as a junior so I will most likely end up in Canada hall. I'm just wondering are there two showers per room or just one? Did it ever feel cramped?
I believe there are two bathrooms. I was in a room with 6 girls so we had two bathrooms but smaller rooms may only have one bathroom. I didn't feel cramped in any of the living spaces. The only space I felt there was a lack of privacy was the bedroom since it's split with another student - in my case, both were randomly selected.
Hello! I currently live in nye. Would you say Canada hall is super expensive ? I want to make my cat an esa and bring her next year because I think she would do well considering how much space there is. The unr site said that Canada hall is less expensive than Great Basin and was a little confused lol
When I stayed, I think it came out to roughly $500 a month. Their pricing may have changed since I lived there. I would check with the housing dept. regarding ESA pets.
Hi I love the video it is very cool to get to see such an in depth look into the dorm room that the school doesn't really show. I actually was wondering if you had any advice on how to get into Canada hall? I am transferring from a CSU and very much want to live in this hall and also I have no idea how to get in contact with anyone who could be a possible roommate, the roommate page doesn't seem very in depth.
No problem! So I’m not sure how covid has affected the process to get into the hall but when I transferred I didn’t know anyone in Canada. I found that by filling out the form that categorizes how clean you like to keep your room as well as noise level etc that they do a pretty good job selecting people of a similar lifestyle as you.
When I went to UNR all incoming freshman were required to. I think it was strongly advised for transfer students to as well. Since COVID though, I'm not sure if they are requiring residency for the first academic year of attendance. Sorry I don't have more info!
I lived in Canada Hall back in 1998 and it looks like nothing has changed, same paint an counters too.
I lived there Summer 1999. I was in Lincoln Hall the two previous years and lived off-campus afterwards. Good times.

Thanks for the response. I was more so asking if each bathroom has its own shower so its 3:1 or 6:1 student shower ratio?@@authoralyssaclay
Lived there my sophomore year 2014-15. Some great memories! :)

can you get an extra bookcase or bring your own lightweight ones? I'm attending this coming spring.
Yeah I’m fairly sure you could bring in your own furniture if you wanted to!
Does the phd candidate lives in single room?
I believe they have a separate hall for graduate students. Canada Hall is for undergraduate students.
@@authoralyssaclay thank you so much for your kind information. ❤️❤️
Do you have to stay in dorms?

What are you studying?
I studied Psych and English Lit
Is it difficult if they are messy? It’s just I’m a clean freak😂
Same here! It definitely helps to have similar minded roommates :)
