After moving over 4,000 miles away from home, I can finally move into my new home for the next 9 months!! Come with me while we shop for dorm essentials, see the UH Manoa campus for the first time, move into my dorm, and meet new friends!! I love it here! I don’t regret choosing to come here at all, it is far from home so I can only go back a few times and out of state tuition is crazy high. But overall I definitely think the pros outweigh the cons :)

So, I live in Georgia but the school I want to commit to is in Missouri (basically like your situation!) and I was wondering how did you get all of your stuff on the airplane.
My mom doesn’t know and she also never flown before so this is scary and different for us.
So, would I have to pack like multiple bags of clothes and necessities and then get other things from like a Walmart and stuff that I couldn’t really take on a plane or that couldn’t really fit in my suitcase?

1. So I packed three suitcases (I found the biggest size that the plane would let me have all at Ross) and then the stuff that I couldn’t fit in my suitcase, I shipped it to my dorm!
2. I got all my dorm stuff there ( in the state of my university). I only packed and shipped personal items from home like clothes, jewelry, shoes, etc. and I bought all my dorm necessities at Walmart and target in Hawaii :)

Packing was really stressful for me because I was in your situation, but trust me everything will work out! Just make sure your bags are the size and weight that your airline allows.

i'm so sorry, i have one more question. do you know how long in advance they gave you to move into the dorms?
@@reallyryefryehey!! They let you know your move in time a few months or weeks before (I can’t remember) but they sent us our move in time and then that’s when my mom got our plane tickets (she’s based it off of my move in date) idk really know if that answers your question but they have alot of information on their website and you can also email UH housing, they would be able to help you😊
