EV markets are crumbling globally and most brands including tesla are selling at good discounts. Those people who'd buy an ev have already bought one. The remaining population is hard to penetrate. If the battery technology doesn't get better, EVs are going to die off as a trend that couldn't become fully mainstream.
Hyundai Kia are the only two most ballsy mainstream brands that understand what customers want. The way they do things is just exciting in a way which you don't feel from other companies. Hyundai and Kia together clinched three of the six World Car of the Year awards recently, all while undercutting their competitors. The Kia EV9 won both World Car of the Year and World Electric Vehicle awards, while the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N was recognized as the World Performance Car.
All I want from them is a clear statement or atleast some reassurance about their safety ratings. The moment they get their cars crash tested and come out with a good rating is when I’d take them seriously. They’ve done everything right so far. All I want beyond their offerings as of now is safety. That’s all.
Please also make an episode on Honda...that is the brand that I personally want to see do well...the elevate is a wonderful product...also answer why they are struggling despite having the technology and what next for Honda in Indian market?
So, in the next year and a half, Hyundai's only coming out with an EV in a segment that's slowing down and saturated, a facelift for a model (Alcazar) that's low-selling and one other product. That's not a big bang. That's a whimper. Hyundai would do well to lower prices of Alcazar and improve their design language. Except Creta, others will tail off if they don't look good as brand equity isn't high enough to jettison aesthetics altogether.
Loved this one! Excited for the fronx rival from Hyundai! P.S: Hey autocar, Captions are still in the same place. PLEASE ask your editor to put all these captions that appear in the video a little bit upwards. Please try watching on TV you'll understand what I'm talking about. TH-cam's captions coincide with the position of your captions. Please move the in video captions a little more upwards so that they're clearly visible! ✌️
After these white LED headlights are introduced many car drivers have started using Dipper unnecessarily. It’s so irritating. They are using it everywhere on highways and city roads also. They actually don’t know why it should be used.
Safety is a big issue for Hyundai n Kia... no crash tests although they were good to bring in adas. Creta is a game changer for them. They have also different Powertrains that suit buyers including features & creature comforts. Vw should learn from them. They take customers in India for a ride by pricing their cars high without any creature comforts & always bring them in very late... take for adas as an example . Their Taigun is a small one compared to creta but price it higher for the badge vw. They never learn
Instead of EVs which is declining globally, Hyundai must focus on affordable Hybrid cars with localisation. Regarding full size SUVs, Hyundai must consider Palisade or SantaFe for India with Telluride from Kia and an MPV-Stargazer also which is a hit in international market. Also N division must be introduced instead of Genesis
I just saw a KIA Seltos with a Hybrid coming soon. So definitely Hyundai will also come with a similar one as they share the same platform & technology
I never liked Hyundai... I hate the Creta and Venue... So, I never saw myself being a Hyundai or Kia customer.... But man... that Ionic 5... That's just something I would buy today.... Love that car from Hyundai... Ionic 5's design is a 90s kid dream car, pure nostalgia... The Cyberpunk inspired Delorean design just make you feel things...
I don't understand hyundai now they have such a huge network in india why are they behind in the big suv game. Why is there no scorpio n xuv700 & thar roxx rivals from hyundai. Creta & alcazar are small compared to them & if creta continues the way it is now it won't sell much in future until they make it larger with powerful engine. And hyundai has no fortuner & innova hycross competitors. Toyota is enjoying monopoly with hycross & fortuner
Maruti needs to up there game for next 4-5 years they will be on the top ...but they are taking Indian customer for granted....Swift new engine lackluster...3 cylinder....need to develop DCT/ ivt /TC kind of transmission under 10 lac
Thank you for another informative podcast. Does Hyundai have any plans to market the Tucson and Santa Fe aggressively in the Indian market in the short to medium term.
If hyundai really wants to top they have to hire the designing team of 2018 creta & i20 back. They were reason of success of hyundai's reach to every home.

Finally!!😅 I was wondering why Hyundai is not competing with Fronx and other products and fill all the blank spaces. Their fit and finish, reliability and after sales service is all v good
Could Autocar or someone answer why Hyundai isn’t launching stargazer in India as Ertiga/rumion/triber rival and if Hyundai Alcazar electric is expected just as Creta electric
Interesting Hyundai's " Man to Man marking and counter attacking with New EV products" Tougher for opponents, Indian brands with poor fit and finish will difficult to match up Hyundai. Kudos to Hyundai offering class products to Indian Customers.
You sacrifice fit and finish for better structural safety and crash worthiness. I think fit and finish are overrated. Good fit and finish might delight enthusiasts and engineers, but i do not see it adding any significant value to the end user....
Actually hyundai is under pressure they have somehow maintained their position on the sales chart they were selling 50000 cars per month 5 years ago and they are still selling 50000 cars per month forget about growth if curvv and 5 door thar start to sell like other recent tata and mahindra cars then hyundai is in big trouble.
will Hyundai bring Elantra back to India. Are there any talks about bringing their N performance division to India. I think Hyundai can definitely bring a new segment with this cars i.e affordable sporty cars which we lack right now. If you want to get the brand image like Mahindra then you have to make powerful engines like them which makes them attractive. There are more enthusiasts buyer nowadays who want performance and are not worried about mileage. I believe the hatchback and sedan segment is not giving good sales because you have to make them now more sporty and luxurious and not just a family car as the concept of family car is changing now in India. Put the creta engine and its features in verna it's sales will definitely go up.
Heared Renault is planning to raise its market share from 1% to 10 in 1st year, with Hybrid version and double fuel version of all their 4 models, with a 4 wheel drive version of 2 of them
Isnt the Hyundai Tucson sold in India the same as the LWB version sold in China as Tucson L? Theyre still selling the older generation Tucson alongside this
Hyundai needs to focus on plug in hybrid vehicles, specially in verna due to poor mileage no one is interested in this car though it is a fantastic car.
Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, must put pressure on the government to reduce GST on hybrid vehicles. Also, the typical 15 year use limit must not be applicable to Hybrids. At present technology, hybrids are better and more environment friendly than pure EVs. Hybrids must be encouraged by reducing GST for fast development and adoption in the market. There will be resistance from non hybrid makers like TATA & M&M & others but the industry must form a consensus on the road ahead.
Why is that , there are no rival car developed for the actual SUV as a competitor to XUV 700 or Tata Safari …??? No future without that to Hyundai I feel ……
But i didn't able get Conclusion about this podcast about Hyundai Epsiode 😅 HYUNDAI SHOULD GET 2000CC DIESEL ENGINES TO COMPIT WILL H Maninder SUV CARS TO THIER ALCAZAR CAR, SHOULD GET DIESELS ENGINE DOR VERNA ASLO, INDIAN CONSUMER READY PAY EVEN THOUGH PRICES HIKE
The SUVs attract a lot of attention, with the numbers to match, but this segment could be a temporal affinity that may slow down in the next 5 to 7 years. What has happened with SUV growth, unfortunately, is that features predominate over design. All SUVs - from whicever OEM - are designed as bulky hulks with no hint of subtlety or great design. Both the Indian manufacturers - and this, obviously is a personal opinion - are purveyors of hulks that have no intrinsic design sensibility. Design sensibility come naturally to hatchbacks, sedans, and crossovers: the aerodynamic looks, sleekness, and sheer design attitude. The Hyundai i20 is a good example, as is the Honda Jazz, and many mid-size sedans. I would much prefer such "sedans" of mixed variety to evaluate that comes with looks than one of the hulk SUVs that the market appears to be wanting. In my estimation, it is only a want because the market has not been quite challenged by real design. Both TM and Mahindra are severely lacking in this, as possibly also Suzuki. Hyundai could be the one that proves this argument as the Europeans are in no position to experiment.
It's just matter of time when global players will up their game on safety (Hyundai has already done - 6 airbags standard is an example). I am surprised, Tata, even after sensing this is not doing anything to improve on fit and finish and their service quality. If not improved, tata sales will soon start to go down. I believe Mahindra is still well placed in emgine department and their service is better than Tata.
I just hate the fact that hyundai doesn't make any safe cars Even suzuki has consider safety in their upper segments but the Creta which is one of their top model is not even 3 stars
As per IEA forecast from 2027 to 2045 India will be the highest crude oil importer and oil/gas importer in the world. ( more than china also) Currently EV is all show to trap consumers and early profits by companies.

I became a fan of Hyundai for their N line variants!
Very cool brand for having the N department globally.
I have purchased an i20 nline 6 months back and it’s ❤️. And this coming from a Honda fanboy 😅

Hyundai should launch palisade in India the D segment SUV's are always a big profiter🤑 for any company and there is niche market existed over here too
Lol
Even their Tucson isn't selling well. Palisade is a lot more expensive it won't sell here.

I guess they are getting there. The new Verna is gncap 5 star and I am sure rest will follow.
Anticipating the nitin gadkari interview by hormazd sir✌️✌️✌️
This unsure rush for an EV revolution is all about profit than protecting enviornment. No-one can alter the natural course of time.
Podcast on why EV sales are declining in India since 3 months
Hey guys, can you guys do something similar on Honda if possible?
Please also make an episode on Honda...that is the brand that I personally want to see do well...the elevate is a wonderful product...also answer why they are struggling despite having the technology and what next for Honda in Indian market?
Very good podcast . Please do one on Honda at the earliest

The Podcast I wait for whole week. 😊
Hyundai and Kia MUST Now FOCUS on Car SAFETY in terms of Bodyshell strength and not just by giving 6 Airbags when body itself is so weak. !!

Hyundai's drop in market share from 2019 makes up for Kia's incline in sales from the same period.
Hybrid is a space ignored by most automobile brands , not all consumers are keen on EV.
What’s going on with force motors?

Hormazd, you must ask our govt to make atleast 3 star safety rating mandatory for all passenger vehicles.

Make podcast on BYD it will next market leader in EVs
Please do a podcast on Honda cars and its future in India and at Global level.
Hundae like Sundae😅
Please discuss more about Genesis and how does Hyundai look at the market
If hyundai really wants to top they have to hire the designing team of 2018 creta & i20 back. They were reason of success of hyundai's reach to every home.
Loved it. Excellent! Is Hyundai playing to launch the Defender look alike the Santa Fe in India ?
What's a best choice for 5 seater 4x4 vehicle
Continuing Diesel Torque Convertor version would have generated more sales for Verna
If Hyundai can make 5 star rated cars. They will be market leaders in India
Please next podcast on VW and Skoda future in India.
China (world's biggest car market) new car sales is almost 50% EV and now growing further.

Pure Hybrids or Mild Hybrids Cost Structure with Redigined IC Powertrain ?
Thats 32:37 well spent. Excellent podcast 👍
11:55 Any info on next generation venue?
Hyundai's best product is Palisade.....not sure how they sell it in Philippines...but not in India where Fortuner is doing wonders
Any AWD/4x4/off-road vehicles coming from Hyundai in near future ?
Tucson is available with AWD
Awesome Content as usual. 🤘🏻💯👌🏼
Finally!!😅 I was wondering why Hyundai is not competing with Fronx and other products and fill all the blank spaces. Their fit and finish, reliability and after sales service is all v good
Exter is almost Fronx segment in many ways.
For me diesel is the engine I choose.. i20 and verna I love it but there is no diesel, it shows hyundai slowly moving out of that segment

Don’t mix Tata and Mahindra in the same block. Mahindra is way better than Tata in terms of quality, reliability etc.

Wait, they did not say anything about the Tuscon 2024?Has it been dropped
always waiting for hormazd!
Im waiting for new gen venue with 5 stars rating. Thats all i want.
Any possibility of diesel Verna??

Your opinion on vw and skoda
I don't like the looks of new Hyundai models..old ones are better in my opinion.
Heared Renault is planning to raise its market share from 1% to 10 in 1st year, with Hybrid version and double fuel version of all their 4 models, with a 4 wheel drive version of 2 of them
What about the updated Alkazar
China new car sales is now half EV. I don't know why is there still a doubt on EV future
Why Hyundai is not introducing hybrids in Indian markets?
Not sure if Hyundai will launch Santa Fe and Palisade, they are the true competitors for XUV700 and not 7 seater creta!
Huyandai big suv are huge luxury best in everyway😊😊😊😊
Isnt the Hyundai Tucson sold in India the same as the LWB version sold in China as Tucson L? Theyre still selling the older generation Tucson alongside this
When hyundai creta will get 5star rating with good milage ????? Atleast next year with some more changes
10:55 MPV topic
This podcast made me realise how much maruti is out of the game now. Now large cars planned, no EVs in pipeline, nothing premium or safe.
Hyundai needs to focus on plug in hybrid vehicles, specially in verna due to poor mileage no one is interested in this car though it is a fantastic car.

There will be resistance from non hybrid makers like TATA & M&M & others but the industry must form a consensus on the road ahead.
Hyundai and Kia have comparative advantage in EVs so they'd never lobby for hybrids.
EV is not the solution you can go hybrid for the time being but if you go for EV on a long term you you struggle as it's an EV
How about doing one on Toyota
Why is that , there are no rival car developed for the actual SUV as a competitor to XUV 700 or Tata Safari …??? No future without that to Hyundai I feel ……
Hatchback: No real updates under 10 lakhs market. Why companies are not interested in bringing more hachbacks.
Hyundai is the biggest thing currently
Hyundai needs an AWD SUV in the market.
Are Hyundai Alcazar and Kia Carens not the same cars? Just like Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta.
Great Video!

Hyundai why not think 5* Safety? Pls case study About Honda
Guys… vw virtus 1.5 dsg or hyundai verna 1.5 turbo dct???😅
virtus
If they have studied Indian consumers then they must launched the big 7seater and their custidio mpv better then toyota hycross
Hyundai should have launched the new Santa Fe here in India for 45 lksh insted of Tucson...🤕🤕🤕
Venue and Fronx are in same segment, no?
Yes and No since Venue is seen as a rival of Brezza...they might use the i20 platform for Fronx rival
What about new SantaFe??
Why isn’t TATA launching its small cars and SUVs abroad?
Hyundai can become the new Maruti Suzuki in 10 years
Hybrids are the way to go for atleast next 25 years
Good ❤
