I went to Graceland in 1985. Would love to visit again someday. It is his forever home. Pricilla was so smart to maintain that legacy for his family and fans.
They have expanded it across the street. There is so much to see now. You could spend 4 hours in the different museums. I only showed part of it in my video. They now have a hotel you could stay at. However, I saved money and stayed in my camper a 30 minute drive away from Graceland.
My husband and I have travelled through most of Europe, Asia, some countries in Africa. I've never been interested in going to US. But if I get well enough again we will visit Graceland. We both love Elvis. My mother always listened to him. Thank you for this video. Love from Sweden.
I went around that time also. You were not allowed upstairs because he still had relatives living there. Also you couldn’t go in the kitchen either. Somebody was cooking in there when we went through. I thought the handball court was great and also his plane was like a flying penthouse with its gold sink and faucets. Also his horses were still there.
It's still the same. I loved seeing it once, but wouldn't care anything about it again. The only difference may be the grave yard. His mother was brought there. His dad. His grandmother that outlived Elvis. I don't know why they wouldn't have relocated his twin brother there. But 8 really did enjoy the tour and especially the beautiful grounds.
To this day Elvis Presley Missed by his fans around the world TCB and thank you God MAKING ELVIS PRESLEY forever young long live the king He will never be forgotten 2022
Been twice. 2003 stayed in the Heart Break Hotel (no longer there). 2017 stayed just of Beale St, had the top vip tour and got to hold some of his clothes. Awesome visits, Elvis is forever the King.
do u guys know my mum and my dad grew up in 1977 when Elvis passed away that was long time ago but not for me I was'nt born then I wish I could go back in time to see that happen in 1977 but I don't fancy doing that really
I went to Graceland in 1996. What an experience it was. I swear I could feel his spirit around me. I always said I wanted to visit Graceland since I was in HS. That was a dream of mine before I died. My wish came true.
Everyone that knew Elvis said he was very kind and thoughtful towards others. He enjoyed having fun by speeding around in his different vehicles (motorcycles, dune buggy, cars) and pulling practical jokes on friends. But he was always a generous with sharing some of his wealth with others.
Wonderful place to visit and feel the greatness and spirit of the great Elvis Presley, found it very spiritual also , shud be on everyone’s bucket list especially if u r a music buff!
I wonder, if he was still alive today in 2022. Would Elvis still be singing his gospel songs.? He certainly left his legacy behind. Rip Elvis. We all still love you and you will be always be known as " THE KING OF ROCK and ROLL"
His manager argued with him a lot over his spending habits and how he almost went broke while he was late 30’s. However, 60 years later, if he didn’t spend what he did, we wouldn’t have an entire collection of memories of him today. All the outfits, the belt buckles, the extraordinary items he owned, etc. so ironic how his choices actually gave us history of him, to show off decades after his death.
He died my third year in high school. Interesting and thank-you. My touch is always money can buy material stuff like there's no tomorrow. But not true Happiness.
I've been there twice, in 1989 & Aug. 17th, 2002, one day after the 25th Anniversary of Elvis' death! The day before, it was so mobbed ( I heard) that it was nearly impossible to get in. We saw thousands of bouquets of flowers virtually covering the family's graves & the 'mood' was still somber! It's been nearly 45 years & he is still loved & missed!
I have one wish.....that is to visit Graceland the home for the one and only.....Elvis the King of musik. It is a long way to Graceland cos i live in Sweden and I use weelchair i dont know how easy it is with a weelchair to look and get in the buildings. ❤❤❤❤❤
The museums you could see from your wheelchair. The ground level of the house but not the basement. Some of the house and buildings in the back you can access. If you have never been to the United Stated know that Memphis is sort of a run down city. Streets are old and some sections of buildings old and run down. But if you stay at the hotel near the Elvis complex it will be fine. It gets really hot and humid there. However, inside all the buildings there is air conditioning. I am sure you can contact Graceland to find out wheelchair accommodations.
my family went to Graceland around 1992. I don’t recognize half of this lol All I remember is the mansion itself, the gravesite, the stone wall around the property that everyone signed and the shops across the street with a big ol Pink Cadillac we took a picture in front of.
Lisa Marie Presley retains 100% sole personal ownership of Graceland Mansion itself and its over 13-acre original grounds and her father's personal effects - meaning costumes, wardrobe, awards, furniture, cars, etc.. She has made the mansion property and her father's personal effects permanently available for tours of Graceland and for use in all of EPE's operations.

What happened with the Cadillac that caught fire when Elvis was on tour in I think it was 1956 or '57? Why was it not on display. But then again I was there in 2015
No upstairs is never seen by visitors. Only Elvis’ wife and daughter. The lead archive lady too. The family wants it private. So it has always been off limits. I did not show one of the buildings on the mansion tour because it had memorabilia from the family, dark inside and crowded. Then on the museum side there are more things to see I did not film because I wanted people who visit to see some surprises and my video not to be too long. So there his military attire, boats, inside of the jet too etc.
it’s really disappointing to find out that Lisa Marie Presley has cashed in her inheritance and sold off 85% of the Elvis Presley Estate. so much for TCB. ☹️
When I did this video I did not spend too much time taking photos in the garden because there were lots of people and did not want to be disrespectful.
The answer: both. The King's middle name was in honor of his father's friend Aaron Kennedy, but the Presleys used the Aron spelling to match the middle name of Elvis' stillborn identical-twin brother, Jesse Garon Presley. Even so, Aaron is the spelling on the Graceland grave site. The reason for the spelling of Aron with only one A is because the names Jesse Garon and Elvis Aron were meant to rhyme. For some odd reason in the early 20th century, it was popular to rhyme the middle names of your children. Elvis switched it to Aaron in later years to reflect the biblical spelling.
@@davidgrant2725 This is what I could find on the Internet, “Knowing Elvis' plans for his middle name, Aaron is the spelling his father chose for Elvis' tombstone, and it's the spelling his estate has designated as the official spelling when the middle name is used today.”

I wonder what he would have done with the place had he lived.
Sounds like from interviews with his friends and family he would have kept the house and lived there forever. He had a deep attachment to Graceland.
I didn't tour the house, but I went into the Lisa Marie. he had it all except internal peace
