So awesome that they let you film and video everything !
Amazing video. Been there many times. If it looks like marble its greek marble, the tiles are actually gold, silver candle holders are sold silver.
I’ve done the upstairs tour with extra time I saw the kitchen and both pools as well as the tennis court the in door pool is sick 10 ft deep with a diving bored and a kitty pool area for those who couldn’t swim fun fact Hearst/William wanted to make it so the indoor pool was connected too the ocean and he could swim with the sea animals tho he was denied for that such a cool place and man thanks for the Christmas tour I sadenly came in the summer just recently THIS IS JUST A COPY BECAUSE I PUT THE REAL ONE UNDER A COMMENT THANKS FOR READING srry caps
Rosebud.....
Yes, it is what made him the happiest. Wanting others to see and experience the architecture of different cultures like he did when he traveled as a boy with his mother to Egypt etc. Certainly his Rosebud.
I went and toured this home with my family when I was young. I was too young to appreciate how awesome this property is.
I hope you can plan to go see it again and take a tour. There are three different tours. I took two in one day. I stayed in a hotel not to far away along the coast Highway. Very pretty area by the ocean.
@@walkabouttraveler8930 maybe one day I will make it back with my kids
@@walkabouttraveler8930 maybe with my children one day
It's magnificent.

I've been doing ancestry research and I've noticed lots of my grandparents from the 1500-1700s was buried in Iverness Scotland.. I don't know how many old cemeteries are over there but I try and watch these videos when I see them Hoping I might see a McKim grave shown...❤my McKim family came to The United States in the early to mid 1700s
Mr. Hearst, thank you for the tour of your lovely home..
I have a chair from there i am selling
How did you get a chair from there? At an auction or fundraiser?
You could do a Greek yogurt commercial there. Wow!
I used to go as a kid. This place is ridiculously beautiful
This place was so noisy, we had to run the AC on a 40* night just to drown out the sound of downshifting trucks. Filthy dump station area with solid waste all over the cement. Showers didn't have doors on them when we were there and I didn't feel safe at all. Full time people there made me feel a little uneasy too.
You are right not the greatest place. It was however close drive for me to see Graceland. For my purposes it was ok.
🖤🖤🖤
What tour was this, the grand rooms?
I did the Grand Room Suites tour at 10 am and at 1:00 the Upstairs Suites Tour.
Such amazing bridge!
A veritable confusion of architecture and design.
No cohesion, somebody was definitely overcompensating.
The tour guy talked too much

Wow his eye that winks at the end of video is really ingenious!
The official Sunmer White House.
Phenomenal 👌! Your video was an absolute delight to watch, thank you for sharing your talent with us.
th-cam.com/video/s1k098PcT80/w-d-xo.html. Check out this video I took in my last trip. This was one of the most beautiful places to photograph.
what'up-you made awesome - 😌
Hey, thanks
Always enjoy your vids, Connie. No moss grows on your Runaway.
I love traveling and have the thought me to do it. I am blessed.
Was there about 20 years ago but loved that little town. So funky.
Wow that pool room is crazy!
The inside pool has gold leaf in all the tiles. The Hearst Family gave the estate to California Parks but the family has the right to swim in both pools. I thought to myself, when would they do that, with all the tours going through? Lol!
Brutal winters in Ohio🥶
Beautiful!!

What happened with the Cadillac that caught fire when Elvis was on tour in I think it was 1956 or '57? Why was it not on display. But then again I was there in 2015
Keep Graceland Tours in your prayers 🙏. They're having alot of trouble recently. Help keep the memory alive for the next generation of tourists.
This place was crap. Puddles the size of ponds. Rude staff, pool was always dirty, bath house was disgusting, terrible BBQ, super loud due to proximity to interstate, and full timers residents were sketchy. We won't be returning; not even for overnight. Easily the dirtiest, and simply put, the worst of the dozen KOA's we've visited.
Yes, not the best place. But when I was there no puddles. I did not use pool only bathrooms. Used as a jump off spot for one day to go to Memphis to see Graceland. For that it was fine.
@@walkabouttraveler8930 sorry, I was venting a little. We didn't like anything about it... except it was close to the intestate for getting in/out quickly.
I am now at a beautiful campground fry camping in my home state of Colorado. Up at 8,000 ft. Just rode my bike two hours to downtown Woodland Park. Staying at South Meadows Park just north of the city and part of the Pike-San Isabel National Forests.
@@walkabouttraveler8930 I love the area!! Just there last month to see Black Keys at red rocks.
Wonderful place to visit and feel the greatness and spirit of the great Elvis Presley, found it very spiritual also , shud be on everyone’s bucket list especially if u r a music buff!
It was beautiful to watch this video. Would like to go there someday
Very nice video I was six yrs old when he left never been there maybe some day.👍
The refrigerator @2:00? That is definitely the 1970s style.
My wife and I went in 2010. My wife has family who live in nashville . They are very lucky to have Elvis on their doorstep!!!
Why didn't you show the grandson Ben's final resting place in the garden?
When I did this video I did not spend too much time taking photos in the garden because there were lots of people and did not want to be disrespectful.
If anyone writes a comment that is unkind or is off in a negative unrelated direction it will be removed. I made this video for family and friends and make no money from my TH-cam channel. If others enjoy seeing this video it is satisfying to know it is well received by Elvis fans.
I wonder, if he was still alive today in 2022. Would Elvis still be singing his gospel songs.? He certainly left his legacy behind. Rip Elvis. We all still love you and you will be always be known as " THE KING OF ROCK and ROLL"
I have one wish.....that is to visit Graceland the home for the one and only.....Elvis the King of musik. It is a long way to Graceland cos i live in Sweden and I use weelchair i dont know how easy it is with a weelchair to look and get in the buildings. ❤❤❤❤❤
The museums you could see from your wheelchair. The ground level of the house but not the basement. Some of the house and buildings in the back you can access. If you have never been to the United Stated know that Memphis is sort of a run down city. Streets are old and some sections of buildings old and run down. But if you stay at the hotel near the Elvis complex it will be fine. It gets really hot and humid there. However, inside all the buildings there is air conditioning. I am sure you can contact Graceland to find out wheelchair accommodations.
😃On my bucket list ❤️
God bless
I’ve been to Graceland and it didn’t look any thing like. In fact it wasn’t any thing like I exspected it to.
House is really tacky from today’s standards but this was style in his time.
El Reyyyyy
Bucket list. For sure.
I went with friends to Graceland in the 90's The driver parked across the street and didn't have to pay anything. Also, the name Graceland has nothing to do with Elvis. Graceland had everything to do with the person living there before Elvis bought the house. But we associate Elvis with Graceland because that's how it was introduced to most of us.
I didn't tour the house, but I went into the Lisa Marie. he had it all except internal peace
Why is the name on the grave marker spelled wrong Aron only has one A on his Birth Certificate yet on the marker it has 2 AA
The answer: both. The King's middle name was in honor of his father's friend Aaron Kennedy, but the Presleys used the Aron spelling to match the middle name of Elvis' stillborn identical-twin brother, Jesse Garon Presley. Even so, Aaron is the spelling on the Graceland grave site. The reason for the spelling of Aron with only one A is because the names Jesse Garon and Elvis Aron were meant to rhyme. For some odd reason in the early 20th century, it was popular to rhyme the middle names of your children. Elvis switched it to Aaron in later years to reflect the biblical spelling.
@@walkabouttraveler8930 So who decided to do this? or was it in his will?
@@davidgrant2725 This is what I could find on the Internet, “Knowing Elvis' plans for his middle name, Aaron is the spelling his father chose for Elvis' tombstone, and it's the spelling his estate has designated as the official spelling when the middle name is used today.”
Only 10 bucks for parking? Try going to a Hockey game in Toronto! lol
