RJ doesn't actually check tickets upon entry. All their trains have mandatory seat reservations, so if you're sitting in the richt seat, you don't need to show your ticket.

Good luck with their tepid AC in the summer.

Well, I guess I'm glad I didn't have to make the experience yet? :D

Keep in mind, RJ has started to let go of quality. I’ve got food poisoning from their cake onboard, their toilet malfunctioned so bad it started giving me random anal washes, n one train was released into service with a bathroom in pieces. Their response to food poisoning n anal wash? “Sorry you weren’t satisfied”.

You might want to avoid this abbreviation, because RJ is also the brand the competition on this route uses (ÖBB/ČD Railjet).

      Oh, that's just great.

oh hell no, that sounds horrible! If this should be a structural problem, this would be an absolute dealbreaker and 100 % change the experience onboard :(

@@to_lowwI hear you, I’m a bit unsure abt it too, but on the boards I keep seeing RJ for RegioJet n RJx for RailJet, I guess for the “(e)xpress” name. But this might just be in Hungary?

@@ExplorebyRailyeah that experience n their approach lately (with ridiculous price hikes from BUD) have made more likely to look at car sharing. Nevertheless, your video is awesome as always 😍

On ÖBB trains, this hole in the floor is usually plugged, although not always. I assume it's for draining water.

That makes sense - the hole seemed to be there for a reason. But leaving it unplugged seems a little weird :D

RegioJet is planning to buy a lot of new reagional and long distanced trains within Czech republic - won electric trains service in Ústí nad Labem region and several long distanced lines from ministery of transportation - in both cases he had to buy brand new electric units - now waiting for their production to put into service since 2026.
And 2 lines for electric units with also brand new electric units in Prague since January 2025.
Those older trains are fair enough for the lines to the east - because slovak and even much worrst track and railway stations conditions are not suitable for buing new trains = makes no sense...

Love how ghetto Budapest Kelenföld looks in contrast to Praha hn.
Great video by the way, keep em up! Maybe slow down the google earth animation a bit. It's nice to take a longer look at the 3D view of the start and end stations.

The station isn't that bad though 😅 Thanks for the feedback, I am still working on my pacing and will do my best in future videos :)
