- At around 4:30 Saturday afternoon, the New York City started to receive calls of a building fire at box 1319 on 3rd Avenue at 109th Street. Due to reports, the box was loaded up, sending Rescue 1 and Squad 41. Ladder 43 arrived very shortly after, as their station was just a few blocks away, and gave the 10-75 for a fire on the top floor. Soon after, based on 43s report, an incoming chief decided to upgrade to a second alarm, consisting of only tower ladders for the trucks. Units made quick work of the fire in a defensive mode, with 3 tower ladders in operation. The fire was put under control quickly and most of the special operations units for the second alarm were released prior to their arrival. Units began returning to service and no injuries have been reported.

You know what you just gotta love when rescue one is bullying its way down the street. I love watching rescue one there’s no other department in the country that has the Power of the Road like R1. FDNY. YOU ROCK AS ALWAYS
It's not FDNY if the rescue trucks aren't tearing up the streets!
Yup always awesome to see that

Plenty of fire scene and response footage! Nicely captured.

Sick! Did I hear some PA300 usage from R1? Holy smokes great footage as well!
Yup the yelp tone in their EQ is PA300 style
I’m not one for conspiracy but a building with a massive “land for sale” sign on it being on fire will always be suspicious
who knows but yeah
Nice video and apparatus, Also love the new light bars on the ems Ambo units .. Tony J. from Indiana 🙌🏼👍👏🏼🔥🚨🚒📸

Amazing footage!
Amazing video! Rescue 1 using pinned q siren!
Yup they were moving
Is it just me or was there rumbler siren in the first clip…?
why such a heavy EMS response, including MRTU and MERV for the abandoned building fire? Were there a bunch of squatters inside? Or was it occupied with tenants?
Most likely the fire was caused by some sort of makeshift cooking setup by people staying there, at least that would be my first guess, so that explains the ems response
That’s one explanation, but it’s kinda the same question of why the satellite response while it’s an exterior operation, it’s just protocol and precaution. FDNY EMS has their own responses for different alarms and they have the resources and staffing available to give such a precautionary response, so they do.
@@socalfirebuff91377 I think that the responses are based on the Alarm Level and in this case the call was made to fight the fire externally whereas an occupied building would have been fought primarily from the inside to shut down the fire as fast as possible.
@@socalfirebuff91377 It's also for how many firefighters are there on scene.
MRTU Could’ve be used as a rehab unit could be why they responded.
PASS Alarm, what happened??
No firefighters were reported injured in this
Excellent video my friends awesome like and Greeting 🙋🏻♂️
Hello! May I ask you if I can reupload this video ?
If credit is given then sure
Nice Catch!!
Casual Rescue 1 behavior
The rescue 1 niahalated the streets
We don't cheap out on buying municipal vehicles here in N.Y.C.
can't stand rumbler sirens, and dint you think that's way to much resources for a abandoned building fire, all them fire fights just stood around just waiting
They actually needed more resources on scene!
This is not a cheap thrill show. Firefighters are responding to emergencies!!
Ah rescue 1 hauling it in true Rescue 1 fashion!
Super responsive and vehicle

Nice catch of the investigative unit! I’m sure it was arson of some kind.
Yup was very happy to catch that and yeah most likely
Merv1 purpose?
Not sure just goes to major emergency’s, i assume it’s some sort of rehab unit but no clue really
Able to treat multiple patients with low level injuries ie heat exhaustion smoke inhalation etc
@@socalfirebuff91377 Thanks
@@dv1267 Thanks
Always seem to be a lot of firemen stood about at these incidents
If you knew anything about firefighting, you would know why that is the case.
