Went last night 30th Nov. Great Xmas market and atmosphere. Very busy and a struggle to move round at times, due to the huge volume of people visiting. My 2 daughters enjoyed the soups and I had a Padja which is a thick crustry bread and you can then choose different toppings.

@@travelwithcol4625 You could choose from sausage, bacon, onion, pickles and roasted vegetables as topping. I went for the sausage and pickles which made it 39 zloty. 20 for the bread with either garlic butter or bacon lard, 12 for the sausage and y for the pickles.

🙏 I’ve been to Gdańsk! It’s in the North of Poland not far from the border with Russia. Gdańsk is the most Expensive City in Poland! In my Opinion Krakow has the Best Christmas market because Krakow has the Biggest main market square in Europe and the whole square is full of festivals stalls and tourists come here from all over the world! Krakow is located in the South East of Poland so it has better weather than Gdańsk. Where are you from ? Kallingrad Russia is only 127 KM away from Gdańsk.. I wonder if there are Russian army in Kallingrad given the war? Who was the competition by? I have Tours from Warsaw on my Channel too! Great city! Warsaw is better value than Krakow and has the Best Restaurants! Gdańsk is ok but for me Gdańsk is only for summer, I went there in January and Sopot was dead as Gdańsk was Quiet on week days at the Pubs. Why is Gdańsk the best Christmas market then ? Europa to nie USA i 127km to jest daleko wg. europejskich miar.😂😂 Po polsku Kaliningrad to jest Królewiec i nie mów, ani nie pisz tak bo jak trafisz na jakiegoś zacietrzewionego patriotę to cię zbluzga albo zje, jak wolisz. 😂😂 Co roku jest organizowany konkurs na najlepszy jarmark bożonarodzeniowy i nie pamiętam ale chyba przez Europejską Izbę Turystyczną przy PE. Jest strona internetową i tam miasta z całej Europy zgłaszają swoich kandydatów i internauci głosują. Ja tę wiadomość przeczytałem na poważnym portalu internetowym opiniotwórczej gazety to chyba nie kłamali bo po co. Z polskich laureatów w przeszłości laureatami byli Wrocław i Kraków. Nie ma powodu bronić Krakowa jak niepodległości. Jako Polak też kocham Kraków. 😂😂.

I was there the opening weekend as you and you don’t need currency anywhere, all stalls take Apple Pay or google pay, just use your phone or cards. You then choose which currency you wish to use. The market was great but currency is not necessary x
Unfortunately today they asked me for Cash. Many stalls do take card and some don’t, I was at the Christmas decorations one and it was Cash only today! I go there every day because I live here and I have to Advertise my Day Trips to the Tourists there, some days they say that the card machine is not working so Cash Only so they can make some Tax Free $ , don’t blame them! was it your first time in Poland ? @ I was with my Polish friend and not once were we asked for cash. It was my first time in Poland. Krakow was great, we did the market at night and activities in the day, yes I would go again but my friend (who lives in England) wants me to go to Gdansk next year to her hometown. I try to go to different places each year x
@abbiwells6841 Yes in almost all the Bars in Krakow you can pay card! Although used to go to a few pubs that were Cheap and they were cash only! Many of the stalls inside the Cloth hall market are also Cash. I’m just telling people to bring some cash incase they need it. Have you visited any other Polish cities? I am of Polish descent, born overseas, living in Australia. I find the food at the Krakow market to be extremely expensive. I live near a Polish Deli where all the sausages and meats, and there are many, also various cheeses and a myriad other foods, are very reasonably priced. The prices in Krakow are ridiculous! My all time favourite Polish food is the many varieties of pierogi. No one makes them like the Poles! The hotdogs made from Polish sausage are to die for. No one makes them like the Poles. The variety of foods is like nowhere on earth!!

Sorry about the cut off. Wroclaw is more of a carnival atmosphere with rides way better decorated booths and just a larger market. Warsaw market are again better atmosphere with better products. I was surprised that Krakow didn’t use both sides of the huge square. Add more entertainment. Don’t get me wrong we love Krakow just not our favorite market.

I live there in 2011 for four months! I amm from Greece,prises cost the same as in Athens. In general ,I love Krakow,i met very helpful people. The Polish are a polite and kind nation.

Went last night 30th Nov. Great Xmas market and atmosphere. Very busy and a struggle to move round at times, due to the huge volume of people visiting. My 2 daughters enjoyed the soups and I had a Padja which is a thick crustry bread and you can then choose different toppings.

@@travelwithcol4625 You could choose from sausage, bacon, onion, pickles and roasted vegetables as topping. I went for the sausage and pickles which made it 39 zloty. 20 for the bread with either garlic butter or bacon lard, 12 for the sausage and y for the pickles.

🙏 I’ve been to Gdańsk! It’s in the North of Poland not far from the border with Russia. Gdańsk is the most Expensive City in Poland! In my Opinion Krakow has the Best Christmas market because Krakow has the Biggest main market square in Europe and the whole square is full of festivals stalls and tourists come here from all over the world! Krakow is located in the South East of Poland so it has better weather than Gdańsk. Where are you from ? Kallingrad Russia is only 127 KM away from Gdańsk.. I wonder if there are Russian army in Kallingrad given the war? Who was the competition by? I have Tours from Warsaw on my Channel too! Great city! Warsaw is better value than Krakow and has the Best Restaurants! Gdańsk is ok but for me Gdańsk is only for summer, I went there in January and Sopot was dead as Gdańsk was Quiet on week days at the Pubs. Why is Gdańsk the best Christmas market then ? Europa to nie USA i 127km to jest daleko wg. europejskich miar.😂😂 Po polsku Kaliningrad to jest Królewiec i nie mów, ani nie pisz tak bo jak trafisz na jakiegoś zacietrzewionego patriotę to cię zbluzga albo zje, jak wolisz. 😂😂 Co roku jest organizowany konkurs na najlepszy jarmark bożonarodzeniowy i nie pamiętam ale chyba przez Europejską Izbę Turystyczną przy PE. Jest strona internetową i tam miasta z całej Europy zgłaszają swoich kandydatów i internauci głosują. Ja tę wiadomość przeczytałem na poważnym portalu internetowym opiniotwórczej gazety to chyba nie kłamali bo po co. Z polskich laureatów w przeszłości laureatami byli Wrocław i Kraków. Nie ma powodu bronić Krakowa jak niepodległości. Jako Polak też kocham Kraków. 😂😂.

I was there the opening weekend as you and you don’t need currency anywhere, all stalls take Apple Pay or google pay, just use your phone or cards. You then choose which currency you wish to use. The market was great but currency is not necessary x
Unfortunately today they asked me for Cash. Many stalls do take card and some don’t, I was at the Christmas decorations one and it was Cash only today! I go there every day because I live here and I have to Advertise my Day Trips to the Tourists there, some days they say that the card machine is not working so Cash Only so they can make some Tax Free $ , don’t blame them! was it your first time in Poland ? @ I was with my Polish friend and not once were we asked for cash. It was my first time in Poland. Krakow was great, we did the market at night and activities in the day, yes I would go again but my friend (who lives in England) wants me to go to Gdansk next year to her hometown. I try to go to different places each year x
@abbiwells6841 Yes in almost all the Bars in Krakow you can pay card! Although used to go to a few pubs that were Cheap and they were cash only! Many of the stalls inside the Cloth hall market are also Cash. I’m just telling people to bring some cash incase they need it. Have you visited any other Polish cities? You will see my Tours on my Channel from lots of other Polish cities too such as Zakopane, Warsaw, Rzeszow, Lodz, Rabka, Kielce, Katowice, Gliwice etc
I am of Polish descent, born overseas, living in Australia. I find the food at the Krakow market to be extremely expensive. I live near a Polish Deli where all the sausages and meats, and there are many, also various cheeses and a myriad other foods, are very reasonably priced. The prices in Krakow are ridiculous! My all time favourite Polish food is the many varieties of pierogi. No one makes them like the Poles! The hotdogs made from Polish sausage are to die for. No one makes them like the Poles. The variety of foods is like nowhere on earth!!

@ Wroclaw has many more things to entertain people. Mire of a carnival
Sorry about the cut off. Wroclaw is more of a carnival atmosphere with rides way better decorated booths and just a larger market. Warsaw market are again better atmosphere with better products. I was surprised that Krakow didn’t use both sides of the huge square. Add more entertainment. Don’t get me wrong we love Krakow just not our favorite market.
