I was born in Nuremberg and came to America in ‘55. Visiting the Christkindlein Markt was the yearly holiday tradition. After all these years, I can still remember the wonderful smells in the fresh winter air, and taste the lebkuchen, the bratwurst grilling, the roasted nuts and the hot mulled wine. Have watched your video twice now and will probably do so several more times. So happy for the two of you enjoying your tour! Thank you for this.
Thank you so much, I’m glad you enjoyed it! The smell of the markets was absolutely amazing! I knew going in that the food would be impressive but even that was underestimating it! We had the best time, we’ve only been back a couple of days and I already miss it. I wish the Markets around us would watch the video and take some notes!
My family came to this country just before WW1. Thank you for this marvelous vid. Its like how we did Christmas here in the 50s.Somehow our country lost the feel of Christmas.
I have been there! It’s absolutely amazing and as a bonus it was snowing the evening we were there. Unforgettable. We were on a boat cruise along the Danube, Rhine and Rhône Rivers. All of that marzipan, wow. I just want to go back
Loving your video! I’m watching it on my TV. Please treasure this time. Treasure the family time, and that you can travel to see the world! I haven’t been able to leave my home location in years. I have to stay close to my doctors. Plus, we’re not sure how I’d do on a plane. I have lymphedema in my left arm where they had to cut out levels 1 and 2 of my lymph nodes due to the breast cancer. So just PLEASE, live life to the fullest while you can! Love, Tammy
Thank you so much, I’m glad you enjoyed it! We definitely treasured every minute of it. We had an amazing time and it was so great to get to show another part of the world to Jackson. I’m really sorry to hear all of that, it’s just not fair. You’re 10000% right, you’ve got to soak up every bit you can because you never know what’s around the corner. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
Thank you for taking us along on your vacation. It looked so different. Couldn't read a word on those cookies, signs, etc. Pretty neat items though. It is colder here in Central Illinois than it is there. 24 degrees here and with the wind chill it feels like 10. Have fun. I can't wait to see what is next!!!
Not me being excited that this was somewhere in Texas 🤣 wow that’s so amazing! I hope you guys have the best time 💚❤️ don’t be sorry for all the food, that’s one of the best parts 😆 thanks for taking us along!
Hahahaha I wish it was! I was telling Jackson that Dallas/Ft Worth area needs to watch and take notes! We had an amazing time, it was so much fun getting to show Jackson a different part of the world. He absolutely loved it. Your welcome, thank you so much for watching!🎄❄️🎄❄️🎄
Such great finds. I loved your haul. Sorry Santa Ana is closing. Our new favorite is Brookhurst. We saw a few things you found at Tustin, the halloween plates etc.. Thank you for being so good at what you do. I am now calling it Thriftmas. 😂😂
I don’t know where you live but keep an eye out for things around where you live. We have a one called festival of nations and there’s also another one but I don’t remember the name of that one. Obviously not on the same scale as this though LoL
WOW! Thank you so much for showing one of my dream vacations. I would have to control my spending. Beautiful churches. How long of a flight is it? Stay safe and looking forward to more 🥰
The flight is about 9 hours, it’s the not fun part, the rest of it has been amazing. Definitely have to stick to a budget, there are so many awesome things to buy! 🎄
