I appreciate how kindly you speak of your old self! Your positive focus on how you presented yourself how you wanted to and experimented with different styles, even ones outside social “norms” and ones that (looking back) may not necessarily suit your current taste anymore, is inspiring. It’s refreshing to hear such a positive outlook and was part of why this was such an awesome video. I was also reminded of this quote: “People say “phase” like impermanence means insignificance. Show me a permanent state of the self.” from thegirlwiththeloontattoo. Great video again! :)
I noticed that, too! Most take the "ew, cringey" route with these types of videos. I'm all for having a little laugh over yourself and your past choices. Sometimes, however, it gets depressing to see people look at their past styles with disdain. As if there's something inherently wrong with dressing how you like regardless of what you may like in the future :(
So true! It makes me so sad to see when people make fun of their old selves, especially when they were children/young teens. I mean most of us had an awkward phase and depending on how old you are maybe that was peak fashion back then, no matter how silly it may look now. But it's so nice to see someone being kind to themselves.
That quote had me thinking, which I like. The way we say ‘oh, it’s JUST a phase’ minimalises whatever it is that we’re referring to and I think that a lot of people say it as a get out when criticised or embarrassed about their behaviour, or taste, or whatever the ‘phase’ is that they’re experiencing at that time
“I’ll probably never be full vintage.” Same though. That’s why I love your videos because I can relate more to the mixing vintage and modern type thing because it’s more attainable and realistic for me. I still love people who commit to full vintage, but I know I never will achieve that.
Same! I teach young children, so we’re constantly moving and there’s a lot of getting up and down from the floor, and let me tell you, pants are the best invention there ever was.
Me too. I cannot fully commit to vintage. I mean I can dress vintage but I cannot always do the hair. I live in a very hot and humid country and I have to wash my hair everyday lol
@@alycats94 I worked in daycare for 3 years, and for the last 6 months or so started wearing leggings and a black midi skirt (with great pockets because I made it myself!) to work and my confidence was so much higher, feeling very cute and feminine every day! Plus when I visited the pre k rooms with kids that could talk the girls were always sure to let me know they loved my skirt! I was the only teacher that wore any skirts to school, so it was something the little girls noticed and loved. Leggings were definitely a must for working with toddlers and infants though 😊

Until I was about 13 I thought the only thing that made an “outfit” was just wearing things of matching colours. Yikes. 19 and still waiting on my glow up
My mom is 52 and she still does this. Like hey that skirt is red and that shirt has red in the pattern so they must go together. And I'm like ...mom these styles don't match at all 😂
@@burdistan WHY DID MY MOM SAY THIS TO ME YESTERDAY. xD Lowkey whenever I was also that age where my mom picked my clothes... I would hate almost all the clothes bc she would give me her style and exactly the same comment that u said (except it wasn't for skirts since I use to only wear pants). AND I ALWAYS SAY THE SAME THING AS U! xD
@Elio Hi are you me, because that's exactly my experience too lol. Online shopping is great, just make sure the store has a good return policy or you might end up stuck with clothes you don't want. I have a 2yr old daughter and in the future hope to be able to give help to her in the ways that I never got.
I also go through phases and now I’m in my early 30s and I’m trying to figure out what my style is. You start to hear more and more about being “age appropriate” which I don’t typically adhere to but I don’t really want to feel like I’m trying to look young. This was such a relatable video. ❤️
I remember those early days of elfia video's and goth make-up looks! I think I started watching those when I was 13 or so. I have been through most of these phases myself, from Omnia and Lord of the Rings, the lace and frilly skirts, to not caring at all in university. For a few years I have been making historical costumes, and am slowly getting into vintage fashion. I am 22 now, and by watching this video I just realised that I have come a long way. Thank you Lucy for being there when I grew up ❤
I’m also a true phase person in lots of aspects of my life not just in clothing. I’m only 21 but have gone through preppy, 2012-indie, grunge, punk, boho, dirty hippie, goth, vintage academic, all vintage 80s (this was a fun one haha), minimalist, etc. I always used to think this was a “bad” character trait because people tend to see it that way, but as I’m growing up I’ve realized it’s just how I have fun with my appearance (something I really don’t take too seriously) & express myself. Loved this video!
Does someone remember „skater style“? In my highschool years brands like vans and dakine were extremely popular. And wearing jeans the way you basically „walk“ on the hem til it was torn as if a dog chewed of the hem 😂
Lol I remember wearing jeans like that in high school-it was the late 90s, so we wore mostly flared jeans & big jeans like JNCOs & Kikwear. And the bottoms would get so worn, like not only chewed up looking, but eventually, there'd be a hole from where your heels hit the hem. Sometimes a strip would start to detach & get steppes on in the hallway-you'd see the occasional rotted off denim strips on the floor in the school hallways😂😂😂
I've been watching your videos since I was about 14/15 (2009) and I'm 25 now. I think your fashion sense has determined some of the clothing I've worn, as I've always found I've had similar interests like LOTR, dnd, history etc. I definitely relate to going through clothing phases, even now! Even though my standard for the last few years has been leggings and a t-shirt/jumper, some days I still want to be full 'fairy princess' and other days I go for a more vintage look! Really enjoyed this video! ☕️💕
I was hoping you'd do a video like this! I can relate as I also always dressed really eccentric. I wore skull t-shirts in my early teens. In my mid to late teens I basically switched back and forth from Victorian to Georgian to 50s looking dresses. I even made my own Recency costume from scratch and wore it out and about haha but like you said I didn't care either! Now that I'm in my early 20s I wear very feminine clothes but less 'costume-like', basically what I would describe as an academic Oxford look, but a bit girlier! Also oh my goodness, can't believe you also wore a dirndl! Me too, I used to absolutely love them after watching The Sound of Music. Still do but I don't wear them anymore!
I really vibe with what you said about having multiple styles. For me, every day is an opportunity to try on a different aesthetic- a different decade, a different persona, a different palette, etc. I love wearing a diverse set of styles!
Ahhh! I remember finding you forever ago, when you still lived at home! How to brush hair properly? Something like that, with a baby hairbrush. I never really comment but you're my absolute favorite TH-camr everrrr. And I totally remember some of these styles. So glad you're still here!
wow, we have more in common then I thought. I had all those phases except that my mom didn't let me buy clothes until I was like 16 years old. At that time I had already done 3 phases and didn't know where I was going. I experimented with clothing, makeup and watched a lot of tv series about fashion. I tried a rocky look and more feminine clothing, that still inspires my day to day look. I tried to wear more colors and patterns and doing my hair. And now I'm gravitating towards vintage fashion.
I love how you mesh vintage and modern together and it looks good on you. I do the same but then I’m an old soul. My grandmother was the biggest influence in my life. I was born and raised in the US but my family comes from England, Germany and Holland. I watch bbc all the time lol. I enjoy watching your videos
I've been watching your videos since 2011 - on my old channel and now this one. Your videos have always been entertaining; interesting and informative. I must say your medieval fantasy videos are what drew me initially to your channel, and I loved that style on you! When you were growing your hair super long you inspired me to do it too! Love your channel, Lucy.
Its so cool to see you have multiple styles at once! I want to have a punk style as well as a dark academia/cottagecore style and thought i might not be able to pull it of, but you encourage me :)
I've been watching your channel since the sock bun days. When I went to college I felt I could not relate to anyone around me. I would retreat to your videos and looked up to you even though you are younger than me. I still love your videos and watching how you have transformed over the years.
Gosh, I've been following you from the beginning and was obsessed with your lord of the rings videos! It's so amazing to see how far you've come and how success can take time but if one perseveres, anything is possible. All the love xx
It's really interesting to see people who are into vintage/retro fashion and alternative fashion in general go through their style evolutions and see how they got there. I myself was always interested in vintage trinkets and a more old fashioned and feminine way of dressing since I was very young. I didn't start experimenting with fashion on myself until around my early teens. That's around the time I got into manga and saw a lot of fashion I actually wanted to wear and tried mimicking it. My parents are very traditional so they were very confused by some or a lot of my choices and that did hold me back some besides me being extremely shy and suffering from intense social anxiety. I went through a lot of styles including mori kei, natural kei, otome kei, and lolita, retro, k-fashion but more recently merged what I liked from the different styles into something very personal. I'm sure me being a lindy hopper has helped retro become more prominent in my style though. xP Overall I'm just walking around with pastel colours in alternative fashion so I'm sure I stand out like a sore thumb in this more rural area, but no one approaches me so I'm able to go about my day normally.
So fun to watch! My style was somewhat the same, I also was (and still am) into Elfia, Castlefest etc. These events really shaped my life tbh. Got there for the first time when I was 13, it was MAGIC (and home).
I like how positive you are about your phases. I wasn't completely surprised you described what is basically a weeby ita phase, and I say that with respect and nostalgia. I had a cringy goth phase with lots of crushed stretch velvet, then back to t-shirts and jeans, and then half a year of being a massive ita and then when I got the basics down made the mistake of trying to wear all the main styles.
I love how you use good jewel toned colors when you choose colors like the red pants... I love those. And also I love how you wear a good button down... so flattering a easy looking.
I’m a fairly new subscriber but I must admit that your content is truly entertaining and different in a good way :) Can definitely relate to the emo phase - 2007 was wild man :D Love you Lucy! Hugs from Moscow Xx
Awww this was so fun!!! And your style was so cute as a teen. I love how unabashed you were...my style was fairly understated as a teen but I am still too embarrassed to ever look back on it! I love that you support your past self and her choices even if you wouldn't wear some of it now. Also the more we hear about your grandma, the cooler she sounds.
This video popped up after your Kibbe videos and you're definitely a soft natural 😂😂😂 you rock those drapey, casual outfits with messy hair in your uni days so well!
I love this! So cool to see your style evolution. I think I spent many of my teenage years emulating Arwen in my clothing and hair/makeup, and also went through the “goth/emo” stage. Some of this was like watching a montage of my own life! I also gravitate toward more vintage style pieces now too.
I googled out of curiosity and it seems like there's no inherent negative association (other than for a couple decades post WWII due to all things German becoming rather taboo for obvious reasons). It seems likely it was something like--wearing any over the top fashion might garner some unpleasant encounters. Possibly there's more specific stuff for her in particular but since she didn't elaborate, this is my best guess. =)
@@Chiisana100 I don't think it was that, people in the Netherlands (and Austria or Germany) do wear them on costume parties or to celebrate oktoberfest :) I think it was just because people thought it was funny.
All I can think of when watching this “omg she’s so cute”. Your smile, your eyes, your hair, so darn pretty! Your “casual” outfits from last three years are what I would love to look like because I’m 22 and have the need to look more grownup but the love for T-shirt’s with silly slogans is just too real
Yayy!! I love this vid! I relate to this so much, Im going on 27 and still cant settle on a style haha I love looking one way then totally different on another. Its just fun to have so many style options, I couldn't see only having one. I think your style is really cool too, mixing vintage with modern. I try to do that with 80s vintage and modern, i love the flamboyancy of it, big earrings, bright colors. Not just the really out there 80s style either, all the different styles of the time! The preppy, the rocker, the goth, and very neon pop haha. Its all so great. I think you should definitely keep up dressing the way you want and not paying attention to society. You being happy is more important. I just wish vintage fashion was easier to find. 😂 ( and also, its really fun to see that you went through a gothy stage as well! I think a lot of people do in highschool haha i got in trouble for my clothes a lot too. I would wear bright tights and frilly short black skirts and stuff. With clip in extensions too 😂😂)
Thanks for making videos, they are so nice and fun to watch whether it's a historical hairdo or a style throwback. You are such a good speaker and so elegant, a true inspiration!
I loved this! ❤ here in Canada high school girls all dressed the same as well. There were 3 different popular styles (girly, athletic, and casual) but they all looked like uniforms because the cut, colours, and brands were all the same. I've always let my interests define my fashion, even before I really became aware of it 😂 I'm so happy I went through it all though, it helped me define my current style. Fantasy, history, and nature are my biggest inspirations, along with pagan and goth elements✨
WOW! I really really like your no fringe (bangs) self! What a difference. No, I don't mean it in a mean way. You look so sophisticated! Great video. 🌹🌹🌹
Lucy, have you ever done a video on Kibbe types, or learned about them? This retrospective was so cool and makes it easy to see all kinds of silhouettes on you! That modern tan and navy outfit at 17:21 is SO stunning on you, and it makes me think you are some kind of Gamine, maybe a Soft Gamine! Same with the 60's beehive at shift dress at 15:50. The brown sweater and soft hair look at 16:27 is also beautiful on you, giving me a Brigitte Bardot vibe, and guess what... She's a Soft Gamine too!! I have to say, I think a lot of the longer, tailored, more vintage or more Dramatic elements you've been wearing most recently aren't as flattering on you as those past looks. I'd be really interested to see you do a series diving into Kibbe types and trying to find your own, maybe even a collab with Aly Art or Merriam Style to help consult on your style! I totally relate to your style journey and going through phases, and finding my Kibbe type has been so helpful to finding the things that are truly the most flattering on me. Check it out!
I thought I was the only one who went through phases 😂 and still does. All of my friends just wore normal stuff or whatever that was trendy, but for some reason I was never interested in those things. It's funny when we go through old photos and all my friends dress and look pretty much the same through the years, but in my case you never know what is coming next 😬 I think the funniest phase I had was when I was obsessed dressing like Bella Swan from Twilight 😂 And I wasn't even a huge fan but for some reason I just liked her style 😌
10:41 and 11:14 are looks for the ages! The latter gives me Effy Stonem vibes. Watching this really makes me wish I took steps to experiment with style when I was younger.
It's so great to see someone with a similar style in the past as me, I was always made fun of and sometimes even being bullied because of the eccentric. sometimes neon or emo stuff I wore in school and this was such a nice video. Thank you, so much!
Love this. My style changed so much over the years as well. All dresses as a kid, then basketball t-shirts and boy clothes around age 12 (brother influence), then gothic, then skater style, then surfer girl style, then outdoorsy hiker style (lol), then in my mid 20’s I went to basic generic The Gap style, late 20’s I entered the 60’s until my early 30’s thanks to Mad Men. I love the 60’s so much. Now in my mid-late 30’s I go for “Parisian chic”. 😄
Oh god I still somewhat remember your fantasy phase. I think someone linked your channel on a long hair forum back when you still had your dad's music in the background of the videos and were recreating lotr hairstyles 😅😅😅
When I started watching you back in the day The elf fantasy/ goth outfits were my favorite I remember you had a video of a couple of outfits in that style to Evanescence music. So that phase will be my favorite of yours 😂
I have always had eclectic style and I was always dressing differently than the norm. In 2003-05 I was 8-10yo wearing tube tops and mini skirts (in my room cause my mom wouldn't let me go in public like that lmfao. 2006-2007 I wore Jeans, tshirts, and my blue sparkly DC Shoes every day! 2008-2010 I was rocking that "emo" style everyone was trying. 2011-2013 I was in full swing trying to find my style wearing skirts and any cardigan I could get my hands on. then in 2014 I went into a fashion shell during college and having my kid in 2016. But now I am opening back up and discovering what shapes look flattering on me. I was always overweight and didnt realize I had an hourglass shape! I still love my floral and animal prints. I rock my crew necks and skinnies but now I am transitioning into high waists and blouses, finding a business casual vibe! Ive got 2020 Vision for this coming year! Thank you for inspiring me to keep growing!
I think it's so interesting to see how similar your style evolution is to mine. I went through the lacy goth phase, lolita and japanese inspired phase, even the giving up and wearing basic fast fashion phase too. Now I'm most inspired by vintage (especally 60s to 70s) and historic fashion aswell. Maybe that will change again soon 😅
I can definitely relate to wardrobe phases. I had a very brief style phase that I outright regret when I was 12...I had a fascination with 70's fashion. It lasted for about half a year. Ages 13-15 I went through a phase when I wasn't comfortable with myself and wore very baggy clothes. I think it was a side-effect of bullying that happened during the 70's phase. I just shut out current fashion after that. I've never really been one to follow trends, unless it was something that happened to coincide with my own interests. Lately, I've been simplifying my style to more classic pieces with cleaner lines and more basic and neutral colors. But, I definitely have fantasy-inspired leanings from when I was younger that I still revisit every once in a while. Tomorrow, I have plans to pull out a long khaki-colored linen skirt that I've had for 10+ years. My mother lent it to be a few times, and one day she never got it back. I love it so much! Sometimes I'll do hybrid outfits where I'll combine a couple of different styles together.
I LOVE that you are a nerd! Finally a fashion TH-camr I look up to that also wanted to look like an elf and was into Anime as a teen❤ I never knew we had so much in common and this is the first style evolution Video I can actually relate to. I always wanted to wear lolita (sweet or gothic lolita so also complete opposite styles 😂) but I was too shy to wear it out and was still trying really hard to fit in (which didn't work at all so why even try) so I would only wear stuff like that to anime Conventions and tried to make it look casual at school. In my town in Germany everyone only wears Jean's and tshirts and all the girls in my school were only shopping at h&m so they literally had the same clothes
I really enjoyed this video. I have been watching you since 2010 and remember lots of your looks from when you lived at your parents house 🤗 it was nice to see pictures of outfits that we don't get to see on your regular videos. You have a great style. I love how you said I'm glad I did and wore what I wanted to cause it was fun. I can totally relate to that. And I'm glad I had some of my fashion risks as a teenager as well. ❤
I've had those lolita and manga phases as well ^^ so yeay to our past us xD I'm impressed, you have some reaaally nice pictures there! I don't like taking pictures of myself, so I don't have many of them, but if I do, I'm pretty sure they look basic xD
I never really got to experiment much in high school. Since I'm a larger girl I couldn't find cute stuff in my size where I lived in the 90s. So I usually ended up wearing men's jeans (that I tailored) and oversized tops. Lots of plaid. Very grunge and tomboyish most of the time. Though I admit that I had a LARGE collection of butterfly clips and scrunchies. Then I went to college in a bigger city where I had more choice in fashion. I went from basically dressing like a man to straight up goth with romantic elements (kinda similar to your looks). After a couple years of that, I toned it down quite a lot. Just dark clothing with more feminine, flattering cuts. My style now leans towards unisex for everyday with nicer, more feminine things when I feel like putting in effort.
Aww I'm happy you finally found Styles you love. My dream is a world where all sizes are in all stores hahaha. I'm tall, 6ft and a woman. You can imagine trying to find dresses and pants long enough. Well, good luck♡ goth fashion is so fun
Wow I never realised you were Dutch until I saw that cup, so cool. As a Dutchwoman studying English Phonology I am embarrassed I did not notice before.
You should. Do one of those videos where they make their style choices make up choices and hair choices based off what will emphasize their features that would be so cool💕
Hi!! super new to your channel I just clicked on this video because I was super intrigued by the title, But had no idea you studied Celtic studies!! I am currently a second year at university studying Celtic studies as well!!!!!
Hello, I discovered your channel a few days ago and I love it ! I'm not at all in make up or hairstyles, but you really made me love it ! You share your passion with so much energy and happiness, it's awesome! You're really talented! Wish you the best ^^
yay cloggies! ...i'm most connected to my dutch heritage (only a couple generations removed)... and also resonate with the "phases" thing, i dabble in hobbies still and kinda feel bad if i loose insterest in something if someone else spent money on it for me
This video was so fun to watch, thank you!! I’ve been following you on and off since the OG sock bun video... around 2009? Our styles have gone through similar stages so it was a trip down memory lane! I have just tapered off these last few years since having kids and I have been living in yoga pants. Trying to find a style again. Also noticing the frilly mini skirts I wore in high school simply are not appropriate on my body anymore. I also wanted to dye my hair pink in high school and the stylist convinced me to just get pink highlights instead. LOL
I followed you since you “show me around elfia” video. I loved you style sooo much and you love for omnia. I find you so creative and inspiring. But im 22 now and still in this phase. Still love you but you recent style isn’t my cup of tea 🥰🌿✨🖤🌙⚔️

It's weird because you're proud of all your phases but I'm embarrassed at what I was wearing 2 years ago haha
Lol😂 my style really never changes but I still feel embarrassed sometimes
AND I ALWAYS SAY THE SAME THING AS U! xD
Glow ups don't come to those who wait, but those who work for it :)
@Elio Hi are you me, because that's exactly my experience too lol. Online shopping is great, just make sure the store has a good return policy or you might end up stuck with clothes you don't want. I have a 2yr old daughter and in the future hope to be able to give help to her in the ways that I never got.
As someone who wore a uniform at school for 12 years, just in these past few years I have gone through your whole evolution haha 😂
Reply nice regards really feelike college days 😭😭
What lipstick are you wearing? It’s very nice with your skin tone.
Thanks! It's NYX Full Throttle in Firestorm 😊
Holaa yo pense igual, se ve espectacular tu labial y mas el contraste con el blanco se ve muy lindo ❤
I look like a clown with lipstick. You look beautiful!
The whole LOOK is great with her skin tone! Let’s be real!
I agree looks super elegant!
Thank you Lucy for being there when I grew up ❤
You're so elegant and so respectful towards yourself and your past self, feels goooood
You sound like a very interesting person and someone to have fun with enjoy your twenties as much as you can
Does someone remember „skater style“? In my highschool years brands like vans and dakine were extremely popular. And wearing jeans the way you basically „walk“ on the hem til it was torn as if a dog chewed of the hem 😂
Eena B don’t for get fingerless gloves and a men’s dress tie. Lol
Well, this produced vivid flashbacks. lol
Hex it’s a bit scary to remember yourself as a conscious culturally active member of a time that now is history, isn’t it?
mine included long mismatched striped fingerless gloves yikes
Lol I remember wearing jeans like that in high school-it was the late 90s, so we wore mostly flared jeans & big jeans like JNCOs & Kikwear. And the bottoms would get so worn, like not only chewed up looking, but eventually, there'd be a hole from where your heels hit the hem. Sometimes a strip would start to detach & get steppes on in the hallway-you'd see the occasional rotted off denim strips on the floor in the school hallways😂😂😂
Drinking coffee, watching your tea time 👍🏼 ☕️ ☕️
Same. 🙋🏻♀️
Saaaaame
Fun! You really have covered a large range of looks, and always cuter than cute. Keep sharing your interesting videos.❤
I love how adventurous you were with style in all these pictures. ❤️
wow, we have more in common then I thought.
You have such a pleasant personality and I like your eclectic style.
I can’t stop staring at her glasses!!!! 😍
I love how you mesh vintage and modern together and it looks good on you. I do the same but then I’m an old soul. My grandmother was the biggest influence in my life. I was born and raised in the US but my family comes from England, Germany and Holland. I watch bbc all the time lol. I enjoy watching your videos
Tonya Claxton That’s awesome
I remember my pink days... but now I'd say I'm a wannabe vintage person. it's interesting to see such drastic changes!!!
I had the same lace gloves from Claire’s! Also had a kuro classic lolita phase and all omg 🙈
I am from Ausria and I absolutely need to see you in a Dirndl! A more traditional one would prbably look really good on you
It is a traditional one, long skirt and all, and it's gorgeous 😍 Got to wear it again last week actually, love it!
You are so much fun to watch. The background music is superb. Inspirational! 💕
Mary Samoylenko I soooo agree I don’t watch anyone else who posts videos like this but I just love watching these!!
Vintage for the win, absolutely! I like the glamour your later looks have ^^
I went through similar phases. Haha! I also really like the vintage style dresses! They are super cute!
I would really love to see a video where you go through your closet and just talk about your favorite garments and maybe do a try on.
So out of curiosity... why did the Dirndl in school not go well? Were you made fun of or something more intense?
Maybe something racist. Because a dirndl is a traditional clothing in Austria and Germany. I think that some people found it unsuitable.
@@Chiisana100 Maybe. Unless she's comfortable enough to share, I guess we won't know for sure!
@@Elemiriel not even in Austria you can wear a dirndl to school. Id love to but you just get a lot of strange looks :(
I googled out of curiosity and it seems like there's no inherent negative association (other than for a couple decades post WWII due to all things German becoming rather taboo for obvious reasons).
I was the same way in high school- totally different style outfits one day after another. I just really enjoyed making outfits, no matter the style
It's like I'm looking back into my own life I swear. Love videos like this.
WOW! I really really like your no fringe (bangs) self! What a difference. No, I don't mean it in a mean way.
You look so sophisticated!
Great video. 🌹🌹🌹
This was awesome, felt like I know and can relate even more with you! Also love the positivity as always!
Your current style is fantastic. Mature, classic, chic.
Yes!! I like the Blond Amsterdam Efteling mug
So fun to see the similarities. Elf Fantasy Fair, folk, lolita, basics. Though I still go to Elfia and Castlefest in selfmade costumes
Me too! 😄
SusanIvanova2257 I remember this too!! 💜💜💜
When I started watching you back in the day The elf fantasy/ goth outfits were my favorite I remember you had a video of a couple of outfits in that style to Evanescence music. So that phase will be my favorite of yours 😂
Hahaha, the good old days pre-copyright claims 😂
I really like your current style, it's very timeless and flattering!
Cool to see someone who has the same phase-based style :) it all suits you well!
I'm very eclectic, I just love changing it up and looking crazy from day to day.
You look great in all these pictures! People were clearly intimidated and didn't know how to handle it 💁♀️
I have always had eclectic style and I was always dressing differently than the norm.
I love your sense of style 😍
I kinda went through the same fashion in high school. My prom dress was this long purple gown that could have been seen on Arwen.
You looked so chic with the head scarf and pink sunglasses!
Was fun seeing what clothes you loved and still have
Your current "partial vintage" style is so inspiring, I hope to bring my closet closer to that once I get a job (recent grad here).
Now I really want to know what happened with the Dirndl. 😂 I always hesitate to wear mine, even if it's more “normal“ here in Austria...
I'm from the U.S. but if I had a Dirndl, I'd wear it, even though it's not at all "normal" to do so here!
Come to Salzburg...People here wear their dirndls just fine to go for a walk on sundays or stuff like that
@@XEveryoneLovesEmilyX I am envious.
I love your style now! Especially the lipstick and your hair is so pretty :)
I love to watch your vlogs!
All those outfits are super cute! Also, I can definitely relate to wanting to dress like a Tolkien elf.
Another follower from the early days here. I have just loved all your phases, and this was a great trip down memory lane. Thank you! 💜💜💜
This was so fun!! I love your style❤❤
Really liked this video. Oh, the memories.
Ngl, I would LOVE to see you wear Lolita fashion with some Rococo/Victorian style hair
I have that Efteling mug! It’s my favorite.
Loepsi: proving she can rock many bold looks and has a great idea of style
Me: Looks like a homeless lesbian and the same everyday
I really apreciate your style, is my biggest inspiration of dressing
I love the shirt you're wearing in this video, you look fantastic! Do you mind sharing where is it from?
It's from Primark 😁
I love all those things just like you and related ??
You should. Do one of those videos where they make their style choices make up choices and hair choices based off what will emphasize their features that would be so cool💕
I loveeee that blue dress in the thumbnail you're wearing
I LOVE the glasses you are wearing in the intro!
You are just such a beautiful woman! Always keep doing your own thing
Hi!! super new to your channel I just clicked on this video because I was super intrigued by the title, But had no idea you studied Celtic studies!!
Wish you the best ^^
yay cloggies! ...i'm most connected to my dutch heritage (only a couple generations removed)... and also resonate with the "phases" thing, i dabble in hobbies still and kinda feel bad if i loose insterest in something if someone else spent money on it for me
Hahah I feel we would've been good friends in highschool. Been to Elffantasyfair a few times too during my teens.
8:52 I see the Vogelrok bird! Love the Efteling! 😍
Exactly the same, I started watching back then and I'm now 22 and still in that phase! 😂⚔️
