Train 1: 1410 Freight train passes from the South towards the West headed by a pair of named Class 86's.
Train 2: 1423 What appears to be a test train passes from the West towards the South headed by a DVT with a Class 87? and DVT on the rear.
Train 3: At the same time 86217 'Halley's Comet' by-passes the platform from South to West with a passenger train.
Train 4: 1434 Passenger train passes from West to South headed by 86260 'Driver Wallace Oakes G.C.'.
Train 5: 1453 86412 'Elizabeth Garrett Anderson' arrives from the West. Ready to take over train 7.
Train 6: 1508 Passenger train passes from South to West headed by 86228 'Vulcan Heritage'.
Train 7: 1526 Passenger/Motorail train arrives from the NE headed by 47614. 86412 takes over to continue South.
Train 8: 87032 'Kenilworth' moves across to the Up Line
Train 9: 1538 37035 passes with a South to West Oil train.
Train 10: 1558 Passenger train arrives from the South behind 87028 'Lord President'.
Train 11: 1614 Freight train passes from the South heading West behind 37010.
Train 12: 1616 Freight train passes from the West heading South behind 90020.
Great footage. When the railway was a railway. And also before it was turned into a sprawling mess thanks to Notwork Rail, and the nasty Pendolino and Voyager virus.
Spent many a Saturday at Carstairs doing various moves either to Glasgow or Edinburgh on the portions.Great Vid.
Brilliant video, proper trains on proper workings
Part 1 was good but part 2 was even better with some unusual moves and formations caught.
Very peculiar arrangement @ 0:53... any idea what it was for?
Looks a bit like the new DATS train could be overhead line testing?
Assume testing the TDM on new dvts
