One hour vídeo... Well, i can already Tell this is not a vídeo for casuals... And i love It. A Lot of Channels like to simplify their contents to reach a big audiance. But this kind of advanced tutorial is rare. Well done Man!
Thank you for this! I'm a Gold 4 Jamie main and managed to win a game against a Diamond 1 player using the concepts you displayed here. Feeling empowered and excited to grow!
Thank you for the video guide. This definitely will help improve my gameplay. I was practically spamming normals without knowing what I was doing thinking i was playing footsies. This video gives me so much clarity as to what i was doing wrong and how i should look out for in a match.
I'm glad to hear it! I think this is probably the hardest video I made since this is such a tough subject to explain and I'm far from mastering it myself. Best of luck to you my drunken friend!
Great guide bro will be watching again this weekend when I have time to practice. I’ve bounced around a bit to get a better feel for the game but I’m ready to get back to my original favorite. Thanks for this 😎
This is really useful. I've been havin' real trouble w/ hit confirms from neutral 'cause my reactions aren't what they used to be. This helped to give me some context.
I want to add to the masses saying your videos are really great. This is my first SF game, Jamie is really fun but not the easiest character to pick up. Grateful for you making these videos! 🙏😂😊
Lol the way dive kicks interact is just random af. It not just cammy dive kick. I play cammy against my cousin playing jamie a lot and the way our dive kicks interact is hilarious. We both just go nuts because we take turns hitting a bs dive kick
Kaution: “Look at that!” Me: “look at what?” Kaution: “ Look how good that is?!?!” Me: “Look how good what is?” Kaution: “You have enough distance you can’t be punished!” Me: “punished for what?!?!” 😂
You know that game where you said use one button, then add sweep, etc… is it fair to say you always have throw available? Otherwise what do you do when they just play safe and hold down back?
You have to play that game with someone else who is also willing to play footsies otherwise if they just play safe and walk back they won't learn anything
What’s really funny is that the block string at 39:26 is really good both in and out of the corner IF you stay at neutral. For some reason if you walk back the cMK from Ryu hits lolol wtf
Picking up Jamie as a main after skipping from SFA2 in my teens straight to SF6, and have found your videos very helpful. In return: you're Dutch, right? Gently bite the tip of your tongue and say 'Zed' starting from that position. :)
Glad the videos are helping, yes I'm dutch, I tried saying Zed and all I can't think off is being super drunk trying to speak, anything but Zed sounds is coming out of my mouth xD
@@kaution6829 Drinking a little might help! While visiting some friends in Enschede and at a bar, I was asked how to say the 'TH' English sound. That's what I came up with, lmao. Thanks again! Dragged a buddy in and he's gonna main Kimberley but I'm directing him to your universal systems videos.
Great video again! Thank you for your guide. Would you like to make some video to guide how to beat certain character in the future? For example, Ken or other strong popular character. That will be really helpful.
In what way? Offensively or defensively? Do you have a situation where this happened? If they do it on offensive, you just have to be ready to counter with DI. If used on defense a lot, either wait for it and let em kill themselves when they use it, or be fast enough to cancel from your normals... if that all fails you might have to study what is catching you getting hit by it in the 1st place and think of something to prevent it :)
1:11:33 yeahhh I lowkey get pissed when this happens to me. Occurs more often than you think! I’m just convinced the luminous hitbox/hurtbox is garbage lol
Oooo my dude, when fighting charage characters it's sooooo good in the corner. You can't crouch the grab, also it's a good frame trap if you can time it right after a dr. It'll also catch out DI's if you're playing against someone who's always doing that. I do say tho, don't do the EX. The EX version heavily. . . HEAVILY scales your combo

Nothing in that regard got patched as far as I know, what part isn't working? Are you getting hit by the cr.mk? If that is the case, the only thing I could think of is the fact you might be crouching instead of standing, crouching expands your hurtbox, so normals that wouldn't normally hit you when standing will connect when crouching. Otherwise I can't really tell why it would no longer work
I'm starting to think Jamie's design with his weird semi-safe options all over the place is to be a character that overloads the opponents mental stack. He is a rushdown character but a different breed to lets say Cammy and Ken who are more of a traditional rushdown that try to frame trap you with +normals. Jamie is meant to try to slick his way in by appearing unsafe. I've had some mad success using back+HP when dealing with some block strings, especially on DL3+. Most success with characters who know their medium buttons are will reach on their +frame situation and you just slip away into TC punish.
@@kaution6829 Jamie will remain "on paper low tier" but the sheer ammount of options he unlocks is just staggering. Only tool he doesn't have is a projectile. I think that's why his tools are also tuned to be "meh" on first glance. The "Fuck it.... WE PALM" is a meme but when you're playing someone respecting your footsies and anti-air it catches them so off guard for simple reason that the animation is not obvious for half of its duration. I've eaten my fair share of random OD Palms from my pal in casuals to know they are not easy to react even if they are 20 frame startup.
@Zolwiol fuck it we palm is definitely good, can leave you +1 with regular and +3 or higher with od, so even reacting with DI will not work, Jamie is not an easy character to master, but once he gets his oki going with 3 drink levels or higher, you are going to be in world of pain. IMHO what defines a good Jamie player is the decision making between going for drink levels and going for OKI, but also the knowledge of when to be able to drink in neutral during footsies or just raw. It's honestly incredible to watch Jamie go to work
@@kaution6829 Ahh, Busa's theme! Yeah, I was humming his theme the hole day and I couldn't remember whose theme was... And I played A LOT of DOA (mostly 4 and 5) back in the day. Btw, I'm learning lots of Jamie stuff from you buddy. Great work indeed!
