god like jamie guides, went from plat to diamond just after watching your in dpeth, love the command grab setups i didn't really use it that often but now i have too
For OD command grab because of the scaling it’s actually better to do Super > DR 2HP > 214PP > DR 2HP > 214 HP, 6HP for 4945 damage plus you save bar so you won’t go into burnout.
Diamond Jamie here. I pretty much know all of the command grab setups very early on. There’s a ton of them. I’ll share my two favorites: After punch rekka, 2MP > command grab. After level 1 super you are +7.
A more fun focused tip is that if you’re lvl 4 and land a od command grab, you can immediately forward taunt and cause both the opponent and yourself to lay on the ground for a bit (they will recover first). Not so good for ranked but great for messing around with friends. I’ll make sure to look for that +5-7 range in the lab though. Great vid!
@@kaution6829 i did that once with lvl4 but i did DI him to the wall while he was burned out, the funny part is that they fall on the ground at the same time haha
Hey Peruvian Jamie here! Cool videos tho, just I think best to do talking about saving bars is OD Cmd Grab Super(lvl3) > DR 2HP > Dp HK > OD Dp 4927 and just 3 bars
I’m new Jamie player start in Bronze and got struggle. After reading all your Jamie guide, I’m in Platinum now, of course I’m not good enough but at least got a lot improve. Thank you for all of that. Especially give you a Like for the slow motion in grabbing the DRing Ken, as I’m a old man, need some more slow motion🤣👴🏻
Lmao!! I'm old too man xD, glad to hear you improved so much. Good luck on your drunken Journey! Going from bronze to platinum so fast is really impressive!
@@bro...5849 “I’m not good enough” is my way to encourage myself get improvement. Also I just a 1 star Platinum, still have long long way to go, keep fighting bro💪🏻
@@kaution6829 thanks for your sharing. I specially recommend the tricky side changing after CA which you taught in guide part 2, which is 90% success (70% after Platinum) during my journey.
Very good guides, went from seasoned tournament vet in other fighting games but total noob inf Street fighter, to Silver 2 all the way to gold 5 in one session with some of your setups and some Brian_f beta combos lol
Found +5 setup on knockdown. Ex drink ender rekka on your 3rd to 4th drink leaves you +24. Forward dash and you're left +5. Situational but there's no point in not going for it. Besides, it frame traps other stuff too
Can I get some fact checks in case im wrong? I found a safe jump sequence that beats out every option JP has. OD amnesia, drive reversal, drive parry, drive impact, level 1, and block. When landing with the safe jump watch for block/hit very precisely to counter reversal. You can hit confirm jump HP into crouch HP (which we will be using). If they DRe then block on reaction. You can already react to any form of wake up super upon landing, along with amnesia. Against amnesia use the command grab setup in this video. For super, parry then punish. By hit confirming the crouch HP you're able to react to DI. On block/parry go into drive rush stand medium punch into command grab. Its a block string into frame trap so you cant interupt in any way. Hope this helps
It sounds flawless in theory, will take some practice to putting it to use in terms of hitconfirming, but your analogy is on point. His safe jump setup is so damn good. Thanks for sharing!!
thanks for the guide, i couldn't understand how a character like Jamie got a command grab he's litteraly always changing range I thought it was useless
It takes time to realise how good things can be, expecially with such a tricky character like jamie. I like things that look useless at first glance, creates a challenge for making them great :)
Hmm, I never thought about evo tbh since I'm from Europe and I don't even know how expensive it would be. But tbh I have always wanted to go there. If I will attend this or next year I will let you all know with a video.
@Kenlac92 my country unfortunately lacks locals AFAIK , the Dutch scene was pretty much none existent for sf5. I do attend online tournaments like saltmine league and corner2corner, I also do commentary for those tournaments as well from time to time.
dumb question (probably lack of fundamentals) but what can i do against crossups and jump attacks with bigger hitbox than crHP? Jamie dp feels bad and i feel like i lose most of the time when i try to do crHP
I honestly never use cr.hp as an AA. I always use DP and when I expect the jump I use tensei kick. The dp is actually really good but anti airing in this game seems a lot more difficult than in SFV. I will make a video about anti airs at some point!
Do anti heavy punch + heavy bakkai + Level 3 + OD Force Palm + heavy sweep + heavy sweep + punch (drink) is a 6093 combo (60%) Must be level 4 drink level tho
I recently realised, the best you can do is go straight into lvl 3 after od command grab because it scales really fast after the first hit, so by using lvl 3 straight away your lvl3 will do 110% damage when on 4 drinks. With the follows up afterwards it can do about 5k
These guides have been absolutely godlike. So glad to have someone dedicated to the drink grind making videos like this
What can i say, I'm passionate about the character and trying to contribute as much as I can. Thanks for the lovely words!
