I really want to give this video at least ten thumbs up, because I've never seen a video like this! Simple, but very logical and effective rules, no empty phrases and at each time on point - thank you very much for this diamond!
Such kind words, thank you 😊
Love the triangle visualisation 🎾
Me too!
You make such good videos. The clarity of your explanations is up there with the best. You've helped me so much with the technical part of my game purely due to the way you speak. Love it - keep them coming!
I’m pleased I can help, thanks for your kind words! 🙏
Hey Coach! I used these tactics right away and won all the matches on our Saturday club meet! Thanks for the advice and keep up the grate work! 💪🎾
This is amazing to hear… VAMOSSSS!!
Hi Ashley. Long time, no see. I doubt you'll remember me, but I've just resubscribed to your channel. I left before because I'm 73 years old and play strictly doubles, and you had very little doubles content. So yes, I am absolutely interested in more doubles info and insights. I hope to stick around this time... thx!
Hi Walter, I remember you, nice to have you back!
@@TheTennisMentor, btw, I saw you on tennis Nerd. Nice job...
Good explaining Thanks
excellent advice!
Great video, thanks!
🙏🙏
Super good. I love these tips.
Brilliant 👍 Great clarity, speed and example vids. Very useful for singles players who are learning doubles. More of these please !
Glad it was helpful!
So clear and helpful that it drives another level of understanding of doubles play. And excellent illustrations! Just sent it to my partner!
Glad to hear Jessica, I hope it helps you both!!
very nice tips , thank you
I have seen several as I started with my daughter playing doubles agains friends. From all videos this is my favourite as it comes with easy to remember and follow tipps. Thank you!

Fantastic tips! My doubles partner sent me this and I can’t wait to try these tips out on court!
Hello Coach.Great content and great instruction.i love your videos.keep up the good work.Thank you for sharing.
And thank you for watching and commenting 🙏
Thks dear Ashley as a leisure player you are aware of some basic tips , but by far this graduate some key points 😉👍🎾
Thanks Ashley!
You’re always welcome! 🤝
Thank you! This was great and I subscribed. Cheers! Susan from St. Thomas, VI
Nice to have you Susan, welcome!
Great video 👍👌
Thanks buddy!
Beside the great tennis content, you are a good native language teacher, it is a pleasure to listen 👏
Thanks! 😃
Love these tips! Thank you. Just heard Rajeev Ram in an interview say he gives up the lines in basically every match. It’s going to be a big mental shift but I’m really trying to commit to this in my upcoming USTA league!
Persevere with it and let me know how it goes!!
Really enjoy all your videos. I'm gonna play a double match tomorrow (not with my normal partner), but will try these tips.
Awesome… try to focus on one at a time! (And maybe not the triangles tomorrow, unless your new partner has also seen the video 😉) Have a great game!
Very useful !
Great tips! 👌 So you would hit an approach shot at (the feet) of the net player?
If you can. Your options depend on the type of ball you’re receiving for your approach. A higher ball is easier to hit down at your opponents feet but any time you aim towards the net player, low is the key!
Good common sense advice. Thanks.
👍👍
Great video! Can you make one on wrist lag on forehands?
Yes, are you having trouble?
@@TheTennisMentor yeah I am. All my forehands are too tight and I look like I’m guiding the ball over the net and don’t get any wrist lag but when I loosen up I feel like I lose a lot of accuracy
How does felix record the matches, swing stick? phone? does he have to ask the other player if they let him record? If i do it at my junior tournaments, will officials or players make me take it down?
He usually uses an action camera (like a go pro). Yes, he always gets permission from the tournament officials and each player. Sometimes he is unable to record. I’d say that you’re probably less likely to be able to record junior matches for safeguarding reasons.
Which one are you going to use first?
Scootching over at the net!
Subscribed!!
One exception: when at the net and opponents hit a ball near a line, you should 'call the line' to allow your partner to play the ball instead of needing to make a call. After ball bounces, turn back forward.
Similar: as returner's partner, you must call the service line first, then turn back forward.
👏👏👏👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Interesting way to change a subject. But
why did you do this to Sansa??!
What?
@@af02271he or she probably thinks Ashley resembles Little Finger from Game of Thrones.
Hahahaaaaa! Weirdly not the first time someone has commented this on a video of mine 🫣
I was wondering what on earth you were talking about until I googled Sansa 😂… am I the only person that has not watched Game Of Thrones??
You can't track the ball to the center on a serve at the 3.0 level because most 3.0 players, if its to their forehand, will try to go down the line on that ball. I know it sounds stupid, but 80% will do it.
Great tips. Next time you should record the video with the sun behind you and not in front of you. It's hard to see.
fewer unforced errors.
I dont know how to thank you😢
You just did 😉
