Thanks needed a solution to my position problem and hopefully now resolved , i was fixed with the idea of not been beaten down the line and standing over but as you explained this leaves the court open just need to work on this, feel a little stupid as it is obvious but not played a lot of doubles up to now so happy the learn 👍
I have seen several as I started with my daughter playing doubles agains friends. From all videos this is my favourite as it comes with easy to remember and follow tipps. Thank you!

@@TheTennisMentor yeah I am. All my forehands are too tight and I look like I’m guiding the ball over the net and don’t get any wrist lag but when I loosen up I feel like I lose a lot of accuracy
If you can. Your options depend on the type of ball you’re receiving for your approach. A higher ball is easier to hit down at your opponents feet but any time you aim towards the net player, low is the key!
Surely going line off the serve is worth leaving open if it's a high risk shot in open play? Tip could be to stay middle until opponent proves they can hit the line on a regular basis?

How does felix record the matches, swing stick? phone? does he have to ask the other player if they let him record? If i do it at my junior tournaments, will officials or players make me take it down?
He usually uses an action camera (like a go pro). Yes, he always gets permission from the tournament officials and each player. Sometimes he is unable to record. I’d say that you’re probably less likely to be able to record junior matches for safeguarding reasons.
So 2 minute tennis says NOT to track the ball. Ryan says to predict the baseline shot will go cross court because its a much easier shot . Love both of you 🙏
Hey! Thanks, Ryan is great 😊 Most shots do go cross court, and that’s the area you want to have covered as you want to tempt your opponent to hit the high risk shot down the line. However, there are certain times that your opponent has an easy down the line shot (an example is if your partner serves wide on the deuce court). By tracking the ball you’ll cover the big spaces. BUT, always look for signs that your opponent is under pressure, that when you can really commit to the middle as no matter where the ball is on the court, their aim is to make the shot! I hope this makes sense?
One exception: when at the net and opponents hit a ball near a line, you should 'call the line' to allow your partner to play the ball instead of needing to make a call. After ball bounces, turn back forward. Similar: as returner's partner, you must call the service line first, then turn back forward.
@@lbjeffries - I disagree. I, and most I play with, appreciate knowing they have a green light to hit an overhead out of the air instead of running back to get it on the bounce.

You shouldn’t say anything if the ball is in, that’ll just confuse your partner.
