I hope this series does well and gets renewed. It has been maybe 8-10 years since I read the books so I don't remember all the details too well. But this was a very special series for me. This show makes me nostalgic. I want them to adapt all of the percy jackson books and then maybe heroes of Olympus. Hope Percy Jackson is popular enough.

Leah really out here spoiling the ending of the book... this is like the opposite of a Marvel situation. Like I know the books have been out for a while, but I'm glad these kids are allowed to say their minds and aren't under lock and key haha
I love how Rick tells the Leah that _he_ picked them, and not anybody else. Because besides adding that motivational factor of being picked by the creator, it also acknowledges some of the hate Walker and Leah may be getting from fans of the books for not appearing similar to the book rendition. And he's acknowledging that even though they may be getting hate for not looking the part, he still chose them, and that they are perfect for the roles. That said, I do feel like they r going to have a harder time with casting all the different roles if they deicde to also do Heroes of Olympus afterwards. Bc mainly Leah and Walker don't look like their original characters, they look more like other characters from the books. (Hazel & Octavian are some examples) Which will make it harder to cast the other 5 on the Argo II since they will all look so similar. But I'm not saying this to mean any hate in this cast, bc they played their roles PERFECTLY, and are the EMBODIMENT of their characters. And if anything, it'll be fun to see how they change up the rest of the Argo II cast so that they all have some visual difference from each other, or some quirk that sets them apart from each other. (And this last bit is all assuming that they will go into more seasons or seriess for all the different books) (sry for the long rant.)
Loved the books as a kid and I remember being so dissapointed when seeing sea of monsters in theaters. It was awful. They introduced and killed off the main villain in the same movie and long before he was supposed to appear. They probably knew that garbage would be cancelled, so they wanted an ending, lol. I was also really upset when they went to "Circe's island" at the end because I thought that they'd actually show those scenes, but it was just a meaningless reference. I liked that part of the books and was sad that they cut it. There was also some monster fight at a donut shop that they cut but I don't exactly remember.
Enjoyed the series so far. Good to hear from the main cast and production team. Glad they got the cast and story right. Have started reading the first book.

They’ve already kind of cut the books a bit. In the books Annabeth is more apparent in the first 150 pages, and she’s actually out of her depth in regards to her quest and Percy’s truth. She is actually caught up in the bathroom, and isn’t responsible for him getting in the water. Luke is also more apparent, spends time training Percy, where it’s foreshadowed his true nature and Annabeth’s huge crush on him. But overall it’s fairly faithful.

The first episode should have been at least 1 hour, weird changes to the story. 2nd episode did not even show his fight with Luke that established him as weak but having good fighter instincts. He doesn't fall in the water to get powers to defeat Clarisse. How? Percy was not exactly strong enough to lift the sword if you remember. The water gave him power. Skipped over everything, still the pacing was terrible. The actors are good. But the story changes are worrying me. The fury attack scene was underwhelming. His relationship with his mother was not developed enough. So her death held no value. Gabe was just annoying and not the devil spawn he was in the books. Like Sally has good enough control over him, how is that abusive? I have so much more to say but I don't want to. I just want it to get better 😭

This cast is perfect , but they rlly don’t have their chemistry or jokes shown on screen in the show , the script is pretty wooden. We barely even see walker scobells humour which is why he was chosen
