Omg. I wasted 5 cups and printed out 53 pages and subed them on fabric and kept changing and changing and STILL couldn't get red to sub red or brown to brown I downloaded the file you shared and OMG it came out amazing. RED sublimated RED and BROWNS came out perfect. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!

It prints beautiful color without the ICC, but my print that was supposed to be more aqua came out blue. So I did find the ICC for Hiipoo for this printer and I'm hoping to fix it with your very helpful instructions.
Does the premium matte paper setting allow print head to use more ink for a darker richer print out compared to other paper settings? Good video and informative
I can not get mine to print right. I have done cleanings, nozzel checks. Changed my settings. when i print a purge sheet it is just light, blacks are not printing well. there is hardly anything coming out. I followed everything exactly as you did. What am I missing.
First, print a nozzle check page to check for clogs. Next, you can't judge the colors coming out of this printer on a sheet of paper. You must press to 100% white polyester fabric to see the colors.

You should also do color profiles/calibration on your monitors so the colors you see actually match the printed colors. You are also working in two different color spaces RGB/CYMK. Color calibration is always a challenge. Thanks for the vid.
The new Brother SP 1 doesn't have any of those settings available to change like the Epson 2800 does. It's not printing vibrant. Not sure what I can do...

Help , I got the Epson f170. I downloaded the drive like you and the manual told me too . Teal was great at first now it’s a navy blue . What I downloaded is that the ICC profile ?😮😅
The F170 does not have ICC profiles. You only have the driver and you pick either rigid or textile surface when printing. You can contact Epson for help with colors.
Everything is up-to-date on my Windows 11, but I don't have all those options when I open Print Properties? I did double check that I downloaded the correct drivers for Epson ET 2800. Update - I downloaded it, but didn't install it. This may take care of it! lol
Could be your heat settings instead of your color settings. Try pressing longer or at a higher temp. Also make sure you are pressing to 100% polyester.
I followed your directions word for word. I got to the part in Cricut where I send it to my epson printer and the print box should open to start the setting up the settings and it did not. I went directly to the printer. What am I do wrong? Anyone?
My red print brown and that’s the only color. I printed a picture and I had some small red works and half of the cup was red. The red words were the actual red color but the large part of it was brown. What am I doing wrong.
First, make sure you press it to 100% polyester to check color as what is on the print is not always what it presses. If it presses brown, print a nozzle check sheet to see if you have any issues.

Depends on what you are testing. Nozzle check pages yes. If you are going to press and check colors I would use sublimation paper to get a true look at what you will get.

I’ve not been very successful. The only degree I have with computers and printers is an ID.10.T. 🙃 I’m working with a Dell laptop, Epson ET 2803 with Hippo Ink and A Sub paper. Do you have easy tips on how to get the red to pop without dulling other colors? I’ve not been able to successfully download, install and print the icc profile. When I tried, some how I ended up not having “permission” to use my printer. 🤪 If you have any information, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
What happens if you dont change the paper setting on the printer to match what you put in the computer? The FB groups people have told us just push ok twice. 🤔

I have a new converted Epson et-2760 and have tried everything you've suggested including getting a profile made from the paper and ink manufacturer and nothing is working. The cyan and magenta colors will not print. Everything is Black and a brownish yellow. Everything was working just not vivid, then all of a sudden everything is printing out that way. Can you help? Hello, I have reached out in groups for help with no actual help. I have epson ecotank 15000, printers jack ink and ASub paper. I have printed from silhouette studio. I am buying designs online and printing them or making my own and my red is ALWAYS orange. I have downloaded the ICC profile from printers jack and its worse it makes my black look green even. Help... I'm having a problem printing gray, it comes out purple. I have a converted Epson 15000. Printer settings: premium presentation matt, best color, custom changed to RGB, gamma 2.2. Bidirectional is off. Image is a steel gray and no matter what I do/change the color prints with a purple cast. I shut off color and printed in black, graytone, that one sublimated with a bluish tint. I thought it was my pinter and ink but my friend has the same converted epson, uses different ink and the same thing happened. We then printed a gray wood background as opposed to steel and that comes out fine. Why would this happen for a steel gray background? I'm at my wits end.

Hello! Thanks for the video. I tried adjusting the setting however in more options my printing presets does not give me the option to save my name for color adjustment. Also my when I click custom then advanced it let me check mirror image and bidirectional (what is this for), of you don't mind me asking?
I haven't ever had anyone say that before. Maybe try printing something small and change each preference individually to see which is causing an issue.
I'm having a horrible time with my epson printer. I've cleaned and aligned the heads. One design will come out perfect and the next there will be lines evenly spaced throughout my design. I'm using an epson st-2000. I'm about to pull my hair out. Any advice you can give me? I've also taken it off wi-fi and i'm printing it with a cable.

I have the Epson F-170, I'm confused by all over been reading. I have updated the drivers from Epson and downloaded a ICC profile that was recommended but even if I set a default I don't think it's working. I also haven't found manual settings. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
This video addresses Epson EcoTank printers that are converted. You have an actual sublimation printer. You shouldn't need color correction. I would contact them if you are having issues.

Angie, again you are FAN-FRIGGING-TASTIC. I have been getting so discouraged with sublimation because none of the mugs or tumblers I have done come out great. Doing a search for one issue I am having I came across another of your videos and lo-and-behold you again had the answer I needed. I had another couple questions and as I was thinking of them you moved on to the answers. It’s like you know what I’m going to ask. If it wasn’t so late I would run down to my dungeon craft room and start adjusting my computer settings… Now if you can just fix my issues with time and temperature of my oven I’d be in heaven. I hate trial and error, it’s so frustrating and I still don’t have it right. From now on I’m going to just look at your videos first and save time since you always have the answers.
Hi Angie. I am new to sublimation. Today I wanted to aublimate a grey color on a white tshirt. I kept getting a light green as the outcome. And the black also bled. This is a 50% Polyester. How do I make sure my color stays the same? That is, grey and black, and have them not bleed?

Great video as always, but I have a question. I just got the Epson 8550 and Hiipoo ink. Hiipoo does not have the ICC profile for this one with A-Sub paper. I am wondering, for me to use the Epson settings, in color management, Printer preferences, advanced, do I choose "ICM" instead of No color management, or custom, or Automatic??? Yikes, I am stuck and do not have just the Poly cloth, only pricy blanks. Thank you for your help

Interesting! Might be the paper you are using. Are you using the same paper in your Sawgrass as in your Epson? The Epson needs a different sublimation paper.
I am so confused! I get what your saying and doing only my printer properties don't give me any of those options. If I select any of my other printers it does but not on my Epson et-2800. :( 3:42

Hey soo I got an ecotank 2803 because I saw some crafters using it with Oracal HTV .. So when I go to print then cut in cricut & turn on dialog the settings options are like non existent its just paper type no color options or even quality :( any idea why or reccomendations?

First, I would press to 100% white polyester fabric before judging any colors. Second, all you can do is to keep playing with color correction until you get something you like.

Try going directly to the website for your printer and downloading the printer driver directly from them.

You probably have the wrong printer driver. Go directly to the Epson website and get the right one for your specific printer.

Did you walk through the manual settings in this video? That would be what I would recommend.

You should change it both places. Otherwise it is actually printing using the wrong one.

You can move on to trying ICC profiles to try and fix the issue.

Sounds like you have a clog in the printer not a color issue.

This would depend on a lot of things including what you are printing out of and what size your paper is?
I am printing out a mug wrap using A Sub 8.5x11 sublimation paper using a MAC desktop computer.

You can try other ICC profiles or walk through the steps in this video and try increasing Magenta.

Probably color correction. You can try this or adding an ICC profile.

Bidirectional should be off. It makes printing faster but you don't want that for sublimation.
When I print with the preferences it says “printing failed” and when I don’t do any configuration to it it print ok. I don’t know what to do 😫

How do you do it if you don’t have that screen when you first start on word. The screen after you hit print to adjust everything.

Go to Epson website and find your drivers for your printer.

You should check the other settings. Turn on high quality, turn off fast or bidirectional, and choose a matte paper type.

If you have a converted printer, it is just trial and error playing with colors.

I have the Epson F-170, I'm confused by all over been reading. I have updated the drivers from Epson and downloaded a ICC profile that was recommended but even if I set a default I don't think it's working. I also haven't found manual settings. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
This video addresses Epson EcoTank printers that are converted. You have an actual sublimation printer. You shouldn't need color correction. I would contact them if you are having issues.

Wait there are different results depending on what material your sublimating on? Would that change with say a mug press vs a 100% polyester shirt?

Angie, again you are FAN-FRIGGING-TASTIC. I have been getting so discouraged with sublimation because none of the mugs or tumblers I have done come out great. Doing a search for one issue I am having I came across another of your videos and lo-and-behold you again had the answer I needed. I had another couple questions and as I was thinking of them you moved on to the answers. It’s like you know what I’m going to ask. If it wasn’t so late I would run down to my dungeon craft room and start adjusting my computer settings… Now if you can just fix my issues with time and temperature of my oven I’d be in heaven. I hate trial and error, it’s so frustrating and I still don’t have it right. From now on I’m going to just look at your videos first and save time since you always have the answers.
You can change all of the settings like that in your settings then devices and find your printer then printer preferences.
Hi Angie. I am new to sublimation. Today I wanted to aublimate a grey color on a white tshirt. I kept getting a light green as the outcome. And the black also bled. This is a 50% Polyester. How do I make sure my color stays the same? That is, grey and black, and have them not bleed?
With 50% polyester, only 1/2 of the ink is sublimating. You will see varying results and it will look faded when you press.

My color more yellowish when I press. May I know what colors to play with. Epson 2850.. with Epson vivid profile
Also I'm using printer jack ink. Tried their profile. Not really satisfied with the color. Any other suggestions to adjust manually. Thanks
All you can do is keep playing with it until you get something you like. There are no set rules.

Great video as always, but I have a question. I just got the Epson 8550 and Hiipoo ink. Hiipoo does not have the ICC profile for this one with A-Sub paper. I am wondering, for me to use the Epson settings, in color management, Printer preferences, advanced, do I choose "ICM" instead of No color management, or custom, or Automatic??? Yikes, I am stuck and do not have just the Poly cloth, only pricy blanks. Thank you for your help
You can try any ICC profile to see if it helps you with the color issues that you are having.
Great video but it didn't work for printing grey which is what I need. How do I get my sublimation printer to print grey? I have wasted so much paper and ink trying to get this right but still can't get it right.
You would just have to use color correction until you get it the color you would like.

For grainy, I would see what the resolution is of the image you are trying to print.

Interesting! Might be the paper you are using. Are you using the same paper in your Sawgrass as in your Epson? The Epson needs a different sublimation paper.
I am so confused! I get what your saying and doing only my printer properties don't give me any of those options. If I select any of my other printers it does but not on my Epson et-2800. :( 3:42
Sounds like you don't have the right printer driver installed. Go to the Epson website and find the right driver for your printer and install it.
I saw another video on downloading the hippo profile and gimp. I couldn’t understand the profile thing. Does that work behind the scenes or with the gimp? will try your method using the manual correction. I couldn’t understand

Hey soo I got an ecotank 2803 because I saw some crafters using it with Oracal HTV .. So when I go to print then cut in cricut & turn on dialog the settings options are like non existent its just paper type no color options or even quality :( any idea why or reccomendations?
You need to download the printer driver from the Epson website. Sounds like your computer went out and found one and it is wrong.

I used the tutorial before. great by the way. but my computer crashed and I had to buy a new one. everything is updated and installed. when I go to print from word I do not get the same properties as you. how can I get that back so my can adjust my colors?

What if my printer prints out vividly on the sublimation paper, but the transfers to mugs come out faded and dull?
It is probably a pressing issue would be my guess. Time temperature or pressure.

You can print with any program using these methods.

First, I would press to 100% white polyester fabric before judging any colors. Second, all you can do is to keep playing with color correction until you get something you like.
