Hi Andie THAAANK YOU so much for this video. FINALLY someone with a pc and not a mac. This video is exactly what hubby and I needed to see to get started. You are amazing, You explain every thing in your videos so clearly. Makes a huge difference. Can't wait to get sublimating now that we actually know how to adjust colours. Thanks again :)
Angie, again you are FAN-FRIGGING-TASTIC. I have been getting so discouraged with sublimation because none of the mugs or tumblers I have done come out great. Doing a search for one issue I am having I came across another of your videos and lo-and-behold you again had the answer I needed. I had another couple questions and as I was thinking of them you moved on to the answers. It’s like you know what I’m going to ask. If it wasn’t so late I would run down to my dungeon craft room and start adjusting my computer settings… Now if you can just fix my issues with time and temperature of my oven I’d be in heaven. I hate trial and error, it’s so frustrating and I still don’t have it right. From now on I’m going to just look at your videos first and save time since you always have the answers.
Out of all the videos i watched to correct my color issue (because the printer insisted on printing orange for pink), yours solved my provlen straight away. You even helped me to figure out my print preferences and setting presets. Thank you so much Ang! You're such a darling.
Thank you! This worked like a charm! Turns out, I hadn't downloaded the drivers so that's why I never got that preference screen. The images are sharp with no lines now. You're a life saver!!!
Does the premium matte paper setting allow print head to use more ink for a darker richer print out compared to other paper settings? Good video and informative
Excellent video, a little fast paced. Just wished it would have worked for me. The settings box you kept opening under advanced to save profiles, I could never find it
Angie. I cannot even remember how many other videos I watched trying to get this right. Not a single one was as helpful as yours. i was ready to throw out a brand new printer AND my laptop! First thank you for making this video. Second thank you for making it so easy to follow!! I am so grateful.
Omg thank you so much !! I just got my ET15000 and was struggling with the colors. My other printer is the Sawgrass 500 and i never had to fix the colors !! You are amazing and this video was a blessing 🙌
I am so confused! I get what your saying and doing only my printer properties don't give me any of those options. If I select any of my other printers it does but not on my Epson et-2800. :( 3:42
Angie, thank you so much for this video. I spent most of yesterday and today trying to figure out why my eco tank 2850 didn’t have all of the print settings. Now to go try this. Wish me luck. I am so grateful for all you do and share with all of us
Omg. I wasted 5 cups and printed out 53 pages and subed them on fabric and kept changing and changing and STILL couldn't get red to sub red or brown to brown I downloaded the file you shared and OMG it came out amazing. RED sublimated RED and BROWNS came out perfect. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!

I was having an issue with some vibrant colors and oranges on my subs and your tutorial helped me fix them as well as understand how to print better in the future. Your information was hands down the clearest and most concise for each usable platform. You are so thoughtful.
thank you this is the one and only video that i have been able to figure out how to get the brighter colors. thank you so much!!!! best video some people go so fast you cant keep up. this was truly helpful.
After so many days of trying and even longer before that of getting the wrong colour out I've finally found this video and I can't thank you enough for this tutorial. I've finally got my sublimation printer to print the colour I need ❤
Thank you Angie. Having just bought an Epson Eco Tank sublimation printer I was struggling with the colours and you have saved me so much time, and potentially money. Keep up the good work.
Great video as always, but I have a question. I just got the Epson 8550 and Hiipoo ink. Hiipoo does not have the ICC profile for this one with A-Sub paper. I am wondering, for me to use the Epson settings, in color management, Printer preferences, advanced, do I choose "ICM" instead of No color management, or custom, or Automatic??? Yikes, I am stuck and do not have just the Poly cloth, only pricy blanks. Thank you for your help
Angie. I just want to say thank you for the time you spend on these printing sublimation problems. You readily impart your knowledge for those of us having problems. And that’s just on sublimation. Many of us have watched lots of your TH-cam videos on our diverse crafting choices so I assume you are diligently answering those TH-cam video questions as well. It’s time consuming so THANK YOU. This video helped with my “yellow” color printing issue. I think you must’ve been a teacher at one time with your poise in front of the camera. Awesome!
Thanks Angie. I have an Epson ET-2850 with A-sub ink. All my prints have a purpleish color. My Cyan color prints out purpleish blue. I tried everything to fix this problem with no success. My next step was to empty all the inks and replace them with Hipoo ink. Lucky i came across your Y-tube video. I did like you created a profile -25 magenta and +25 Cyan. This corrected the color by 80%. Too bad the range does not go higher than 25. My prints look acceptable...Thanks Again..
This video is EXACTLY what I needed. Thank you! My tumblers kept having a green tint to them and at 1st I thought it was heat/press settings. It wasn't, it was color settings. Thank you!!
Wow, Angie you are amazing. I really appreciate your no nonsense approach to all things crafty. You really do a great job of explaining how things work and how to create with what tools we may use. I can't thank you enough for all your research and effort. I'm hooked and excited to create. Keep it up! Respect! Robjack
You are Awesome! I’m in charge of getting the sublimation printer to work appropriately at my job site and my first attempt was horrible. But after MANY videos….I found yours! Game changer!!! Worked wonderfully. Thank you 😊
Thank you so much for this vid! You really helped me figure out my settings for sub printing with et-2850. I was at a loss with trying to understand why the colors were so dull, but I fixed with the help of your vid! Thanks again!!!
Angie, do you know if the settings that come up are dependant on the type of espon printer? I have one and didn't see those options when I went to advanced. Thank you so much!
Wow Angie, this video is amazing. So Easy. I have one problem. I cannot change my paper to premium matt. I have the Epson L121 and that selection is greyed out. What do I do?
I saw another video on downloading the hippo profile and gimp. I couldn’t understand the profile thing. Does that work behind the scenes or with the gimp? will try your method using the manual correction. I couldn’t understand
What an incredible video! Your teaching style is one of the best I've seen. I was despairing after setting up my new ET-4800 with Hiipoo and seeing the result. They don't offer an ICC profile for that model. I wondered if the ET-4700 will work but can't seem to find the answer. I will definitely try your methods, using the HEX chart. Thank you very much!
Thank you! You explain things so clear and easy to understand. Sometimes people go through so fast it's hard to keep up. I converted the Epson Et-288 to a sublimation printer. It prints beautiful color without the ICC, but my print that was supposed to be more aqua came out blue. So I did find the ICC for Hiipoo for this printer and I'm hoping to fix it with your very helpful instructions.
I am new to sublimation but your channel has helped me so much especially this video! I have a Mac but I was able to use your directions and my prints are looking so much better!
very nice , clear and easy to understand. The vidoe is also very clear to read on your screen. I had a color where turquoise/teal werre printing green , your advice helped.
Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOO much! This was the best test I could have ever performed. My subs are coming out beautifully because of this. I can't tell you how grateful I am to you for sharing this and all of your videos. You are the best! Thanks again and keep on crafting!
Hi Angie! Your knowledge has helped me immensely in my crafting journey, thank you sooo much! I just purchased the Epson ET 2803 and planned on using it with Wi-Fi with my iPad. Is it necessary for me to connect it to a computer? Because if so, that will be a big bummer for me since my artwork is on my iPad and I use my iPad to draw and design. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!
I actually do no printing to my sublimation printer from mobile. I have not seen how to use things like color correction and proper settings on a mobile device.
@@AngieHolden thanks for your quick response! I’ve actually been using my iPad to print to my Epson ET-2803 today and I’m happy to say it’s worked perfectly and seamlessly. Used the native iPad photo app to do some color correction and my sublimation projects all looked very close to the original photos so I am very pleased with all of that! Thanks again!
HI Angie. all your videos are so informative. Thanks. I am facing an issue regarding my epson F130 sub printer. The setting tweaking you are showing here aren't available in the preferences of my printer. even before I press, My print preview is showing color very differently. Pls help. Thanks in advance.
@@AngieHolden yes only two options textile and rigid, no options for paper types etc. I have checked Epson site they are offering only one driver for F130.
HI Angie, I have just come across you YT post very helpful. Unfortunately I don't have a print menu that looks like yours mine is very basic and I'm unable to use the RGB setting 😞. My other Epson printer (normal paper printer) has the same menu as yours but my Epson Sublimation one does not...any idea how I can change it? Thank you for all your that you do to assist others.
Your video helped me a lot!! Thanks.. but i still having problems with the red, did premium mate, my red came out orange, change the paper to premium phito semi gloss, got little better on red but still no red as i wanted is there something else i can do? I am using hiipoo ink and Asub paper
@@AngieHolden i did, i installed from hiipoo few profiles, since my printer model is not listed there, using the profile did a test of the color tablet you recommended on polyester all color seen very vibrant and perfect, but when i sublimated a tumbler, colors change, i am using photoshop and the picture is HD
You can definitely get different results on different surfaces. You can try changing the paper type if you are happy with the colors. Another issue with the Ecotank conversions is that you can't control the amount of ink they put down and different amounts are needed for different surfaces.
Hi Angie, thanks for the video. Could you please tell me which chart I'm supposed to dl? There are three. So my last question to you is I have 12 presets. Would I take that chart and print and sub each one and label them and those would be what colors would come out with those particular settings?
You can press any chart that you would like. Does not matter at all. And yes once you sublimate, those are the colors you would get on that type of blank.
Thank you for this video and all the other great ones you do! I am still having issues with my pinks coming out fuchsia and orange and my blues coming out purple. Any help you can provide would be great! Epson printer, HIPPO ink and A-Sub paper but I am not using a program where I can apply ICC profiles. Thank you!
First of all thank you! I am new to sublimation and your videos are awesome and very helpful. I am wanting to print a design with a lot of dark red and trying to get my printer set. Also new to photoshop. How do I find the color chart that you use to test color? TIA
I've tried everything. My drop down menus don't look like this. I'm getting so discouraged. I've watch a ton of videos. However, Thank you Angie for getting to the point. I cant tell you how frustrating it is to get through the ads and then 10min of how their morning is going.
@@AngieHolden I'm printing, just not the right colors. Everything is loaded correctly, just green/teal is printing blue. I downloaded ICC for my ink brand, still nothing. My "printer preference" don't look like yours or any other video I've seen. I even made sure all my windows updates were up to date.
Hello Angie! I have been watching you for months!! I have a Epson 2800 I tried to figure out the hippo and think i have it on there now the turquiose is printing navy blue any suggestions how to correct it manually I have also tried that
Help , I got the Epson f170. I downloaded the drive like you and the manual told me too . Teal was great at first now it’s a navy blue . What I downloaded is that the ICC profile ?😮😅
The F170 does not have ICC profiles. You only have the driver and you pick either rigid or textile surface when printing. You can contact Epson for help with colors.
Interesting! Might be the paper you are using. Are you using the same paper in your Sawgrass as in your Epson? The Epson needs a different sublimation paper.
Thank you for posting! I have an Epson 2760 and when I click on printer properties I don't get all of those choices. I just get Tray selection: Paper Source, Media (no option for matte at all) and Color (can choose between black and white and color only).
A few things: first I showed that one some windows programs you don't get all of the options. Second, make sure you went to the Epson website and downloaded the driver and didn't let windows find one for you.
Hi Angie, Thanks for guiding me to colour management. Excellent info. How do I force my new colour setting to "Glossy Paper"? Every time I select my new named setting, and then select Photo Glossy paper, the 2850 drops my new colour setting choice and prints the gloss as if it were standard A4 office paper. FYI, My new adjustment after your training is -2 Cyan, +2 Magenta, +2 Yellow. The wildlife photograph that I'm testing has a blue hue by default from the printer. As a photographer, I need to correct the blue, and have Glossy Paper as a default Your advice greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Donald. England.
Hi Angie. The Epson ET-2850 printer has been returned. The blue hue could not be changed. Not even on Epson paper. The Internet is filled with the same experiences globally for that printer. Thank you for your help. All the best, Don.
Hi Angie I have a problem with my printer I have the same on you use and got the same ink and paper but everything bleed and so when I put it on a cup that’s how it came out is there something I did the colors were right I’d like to show you what it came out as and how it should have looked do you have a format that I can send it you? Thanks you are a great crafter
We have a Sublimation Made Simple Facebook group where you can upload images and ask questions. My main thought would be if you printed on the right side of the paper?
Thank you for your awesome videos! I'm struggling with tape marks when making sublimation keychains on MDF blanks. I don't know what I'm doing wrong :(
It can be an issue with some blanks. For something that small, I would probably space my prints where I cover the entire blank. If the tape marks are on the back, use a spray adhesive product instead.
Hi Angie. I am new to sublimation. Today I wanted to aublimate a grey color on a white tshirt. I kept getting a light green as the outcome. And the black also bled. This is a 50% Polyester. How do I make sure my color stays the same? That is, grey and black, and have them not bleed?
Hi Angie, this video is so great but i am unable to get the "Color Correction" box under the More Options tab. I had to purchase a new PC and reinstall my Epson ET-2720 with the Universal Epson driver and I think that is my issue. Can you tell me what driver you have installed? Thank you.
So I’ve changed this on paint, so not if you do something canva it downloads to pc then can I print it with those settings save or do I need to them go into paint again and do the settings?
Thank you so much for this video! I am new to sublimation but anxiously trying to get involved. I do have a question, when you print it for a test, can regular paper work as opposed to sublimation paper?
Depends on what you are testing. Nozzle check pages yes. If you are going to press and check colors I would use sublimation paper to get a true look at what you will get.
I recently found your videos and they are so helpful! I have had my Epson 2720 a year and I love it and hate it, all because of colors! I am making shirts for my daughter and I am so frustrated right now! Most all videos I watch for my printer, they seem to set the colors to the same values in color correction. All seem good when printing graphics, but I am trying to print a face. Now, people discuss the skin tone looking more green or red, but mine is coming out with no skin color at all. Heck, no eye color even. It almost looks like I printed a black and white photo. I don't know what to do! Do you have a video for printing facial photos to sublimate?
I used the tutorial before. great by the way. but my computer crashed and I had to buy a new one. everything is updated and installed. when I go to print from word I do not get the same properties as you. how can I get that back so my can adjust my colors?
This is an excellent explanation of how to do this! I use an Epson WF-7720 and before I figured out how to adjust colors, anything that was supposed to be beige was coming out green. Now I have a pre-set to avoid that problem.
Angie, thanks for all the work you put into producing these videos. As a newbie, I find your information very helpful but sometimes have trouble keeping up with the speed at which you move, especially the mouse clicks. If I may offer a request/suggestion, could you change your mouse color/size and/or possibly make a small circular motion with it before clicking on the appropriate button in order to make it easier to follow?
Hi Angie! When printing a black and white design using a sublimation printer, is it better to use the “Black/grey scale” option in the printer settings versus using full colour? I’m using a converted Epson printer and ask because I sublimated some coasters with a black & white buffalo check pattern. The white area took on a beige colour instead of a truer white. Any recommendations on how to avoid this? Thank you for making such informative videos!
Finally! Thank you so much for this Angie! You are awesome! Thank you for touching on all of the needed subjects! I’m definitely going to be trying these out! Another great one!
I can not get mine to print right. I have done cleanings, nozzel checks. Changed my settings. when i print a purge sheet it is just light, blacks are not printing well. there is hardly anything coming out. I followed everything exactly as you did. What am I missing.
First, print a nozzle check page to check for clogs. Next, you can't judge the colors coming out of this printer on a sheet of paper. You must press to 100% white polyester fabric to see the colors.
Thanks so much for another great video, Angie! I made several mugs last night with a design I've used multiple times in the past and always had perfect results. I can't figure out why this time, though, the image had a lot of red undertones in it. I've never changed the settings so I'm lost. Have you ever experienced this?
This video is awesome and has really helped me. Thank you For all the time and effort you put into making these! I’m just wondering about one thing. I just print right from Microsoft Word instead of going through all the steps of print then cut and then I can have a larger image as well. Is there a reason that you go through the software? Of design space? Is there something I’m missing?
Angie, I could really use your expertise please. I ordered the Epson ET4700 per your list of items to get started, but yesterday I discovered the company sent me the ET4800 by mistake. I've looked lots of videos and looked at the applicable models that Hippo ink states for sublimation,. Would you PLEASE confirm for me " Is it ok to use the ET 4800 or should i return it and get the ET 4700? I keep hesitating simply because i dont see the ET4800 listed in the hippo ink or on being used by pretty much anyone else. I'd feel best if I had your opinion before proceeding. Thank you so much!!
@@AngieHolden Thank you so much for responding. You are so kind. I did force myself to do some in depth research of my own on sublimation and printers etc. I feel I have a much better understanding now. Thanks again.
Hello! Thanks for the video. I tried adjusting the setting however in more options my printing presets does not give me the option to save my name for color adjustment. Also my when I click custom then advanced it let me check mirror image and bidirectional (what is this for), of you don't mind me asking?

I would make sure you have the right driver installed!
@@AngieHolden yes only two options textile and rigid, no options for paper types etc. I have checked Epson site they are offering only one driver for F130.
Hi Angie, Have you tried the Hiipoo print profile for ET 15000?
Thanks!
No I do not. You can check their website to see if there is one.
I found one, just wondering if you had tried it. Thanks!
Go directly to Epson and get the driver for your printer.
@@AngieHoldenso I’m having the same issue, I’ve downloaded the correct drivers but a lot of the settings are still missing. Any idea why?
I so appreciate you sharing your research and knowledge in a way that I can understand or makes sense to me. I greatly appreciate you
Your video helped me a lot!! Thanks.. but i still having problems with the red, did premium mate, my red came out orange, change the paper to premium phito semi gloss, got little better on red but still no red as i wanted is there something else i can do? I am using hiipoo ink and Asub paper
You can try an ICC profile. See this: th-cam.com/video/YqW5199ceOc/w-d-xo.html
Great video do you happen to have a video on how to change settings from your phone
No. I don’t know of a good way to do that.
@@AngieHolden thank you so much.
Excellent video. I need to use this to set my new printer for sublimation Thank you for sharing! ❤❤
This is absolutely awesome, very very helpful. Thank you for demystifying and giving me guidance / tools.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you!
All you can do is play with it. You can use an ICC profile overall with the printer. Hey Let's Make Stuff has a video showing how!
First of all thank you! I am new to sublimation and your videos are awesome and very helpful. I am wanting to print a design with a lot of dark red and trying to get my printer set. Also new to photoshop. How do I find the color chart that you use to test color? TIA
I just googled pantone color chart and picked one I liked to print.
I've tried everything. My drop down menus don't look like this. I'm getting so discouraged. I've watch a ton of videos.
However, Thank you Angie for getting to the point. I cant tell you how frustrating it is to get through the ads and then 10min of how their morning is going.
I would make sure you have downloaded the right driver for your printer directly from the Epson website.
The printer preference looking different is the wrong driver issue.
Hello Angie! I have been watching you for months!! I have a Epson 2800 I tried to figure out the hippo and think i have it on there now the turquiose is printing navy blue any suggestions how to correct it manually I have also tried that
Try the blog That's What Che Said. She has a post with some manual settings that might be close to what you need!
Angie, do you know where the density is on a Mac? I've got everything else set. Thanks for all you do!
I do not have a MAC. I have seen screen shots that are similar but it may not be the same!
I have tried all of these settings... but my print still comes out looking grainy... not crisp and clear... any suggestions?????? thanks
For grainy, I would see what the resolution is of the image you are trying to print.
@@AngieHolden it’s not the resolution of the file because it’s prints perfectly on my sawgrass
Hi Angie,
Thanks for guiding me to colour management.
As a photographer, I need to correct the blue, and have Glossy Paper as a default
Your advice greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Donald. England.
Whenever you change anything it will drop the rest of the settings. Pick the paper setting first. You can save it as a default for next time!
Hi Angie.
The Epson ET-2850 printer has been returned.
The blue hue could not be changed. Not even on Epson paper.
The Internet is filled with the same experiences globally for that printer.
Thank you for your help.
All the best,
Don.
With 50% polyester, only 1/2 of the ink is sublimating. You will see varying results and it will look faded when you press.
Hi Angie, this video is so great but i am unable to get the "Color Correction" box under the More Options tab. I had to purchase a new PC and reinstall my Epson ET-2720 with the Universal Epson driver and I think that is my issue. Can you tell me what driver you have installed? Thank you.
I finally found the correct driver. Thank you so much for your AWESOME videos. They have truly helped me tremendously!
Glad you found the right driver!
If my magenta is looking more orange red, how would you suggest that I fix that?
Be sure you press to 100% white polyester fabric to check the color. If it is still messed up, try manual color correction or ICC profiles.
So I’ve changed this on paint, so not if you do something canva it downloads to pc then can I print it with those settings save or do I need to them go into paint again and do the settings?
You can print with any program using these methods.
That sounds like you might have a clog in one of your colors frankly.
I used the tutorial before. great by the way. but my computer crashed and I had to buy a new one. everything is updated and installed. when I go to print from word I do not get the same properties as you. how can I get that back so my can adjust my colors?
I would download the driver for your printer directly from Epson.
This is an excellent explanation of how to do this! I use an Epson WF-7720 and before I figured out how to adjust colors, anything that was supposed to be beige was coming out green. Now I have a pre-set to avoid that problem.
Thanks for watching!
I don't get that Properties screen when it comes to my computer, what settings do I need to change for it to come up?
Try going directly to the website for your printer and downloading the printer driver directly from them.
Do you recommend printing from the computer to get optimal results? I can’t change settings or color-correct from the iPad.
I only print from my computer for sublimation.
I was so excited to find this video, and then many of the options were not options for me. I don’t know how to get them.
Try going directly to Epson and downloading the printer driver for your computer. Sounds like you don't have the right one.
Wow what a difference in printing, thank you so very much. this is a game changer!
Happy to help!
Do you have any recommendations for hp15000 custom settings?
I do not.
Hi Angie - does this mean I no longer need to use the ICC profile for Hiipoo ink you offered in a previous video?
You can literally do it either way. It is up to you and what works with your particular setup.
I usually do the blank/grey scale setting if I want a vivid all black look.
I have changed the printer settings and its so buch better. My question now is, how can I print landscape? It will only let me print portrait.
Try this: th-cam.com/video/kfmzrLncghk/w-d-xo.html
Finally! Thank you so much for this Angie! You are awesome! Thank you for touching on all of the needed subjects! I’m definitely going to be trying these out! Another great one!
Glad it was helpful!
My guess would be a clog or the start of one.
My epson ecotank doesn't have some of those options. Such as any kind of matte paper settings :(
I have had other people say that as well. I am not sure how to fix that!
This is a WONDERFUL tutorial! Thank you, so much!
Angie
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and information.
Thanks for watching!
I am still green and learning. How can I get the color chart your printed out othe polyester material?
Google Patone color chart and pick your favorite to print.
what type of computer/or laptop do you have? none of the apps i have, have print properties
Try downloading the right driver for your printer. If you don't have the properties, you probably do not have the right driver.
Thank you so much, Angie! This is what I needed because I couldn't get an ICC profile. Bless you!
You are a lifesaver! I have had so many issues with red and pink and I thank you for making this video!!! ❤️
Glad I could help!
No reason! Just what you are comfortable with or in some cases I would need to cut HTV to match the sublimation so I would use my Cricut.
You can use ANY Epson EcoTank that takes 4 ink colors with Hiipoo ink and the exact same procedure.
@@AngieHolden Thank you so much for responding. You are so kind. I did force myself to do some in depth research of my own on sublimation and printers etc. I feel I have a much better understanding now. Thanks again.
Thanks - life saver - thought my supplier gave me regular ink but I just needed the right advice 😅
Awesome!
Hello! Thanks for the video. I tried adjusting the setting however in more options my printing presets does not give me the option to save my name for color adjustment. Also my when I click custom then advanced it let me check mirror image and bidirectional (what is this for), of you don't mind me asking?
Bidirectional should be off. It makes printing faster but you don't want that for sublimation.
Thank you very much for the heads-up on this issue. We appreciate your time and professionalism. You have an awesome channel!
Angie, you are so amazing and just helped my save a project that is due in less than 24hrs! Thanks soooo much for responding to me on FB! I was already a subbie, but it was so kind of you to take time out to respond to my crazy moment and help me! THanks again! This was EVERYTHING to me!
No problem!
Thank you for this video. Do you recommend designing in RGB or CMYK? Or, converting an image to either one prior to printing? Thx
Pretty sure it is RGB for designing.
Hi thank you for the video very helpful but I need a printer first lol just getting started on my T-shirt making . what printer do you recommend ? Thanks 🙏
I have a converted Epson EcoTank: th-cam.com/video/-f4oH2x-Nu0/w-d-xo.html&lc=UgwV7aA3i3WDg7_xjUp4AaABAg
