- The fifth anniversary of the FEA-curated The Diwali Concert Series featured Manjiri Asnare Kelkar as the opening artiste of the morning. She began her performance with Raag Todi.
She was accompanied by Utpal Dutt on tabla, Ajay Joglekar on harmonium and Devashree Nawghare on tanpura and supporting vocals.

Absolutely beautiful. While listening one just ends up in joining them and giving DAAD on SAM. She is today the torchbearer of Jaipur Atrauli gharana after the demise of Kishoritai and Dhondutai.
Superlative interpretations of Rag Todi. In sections of Bada Khayal, there were shades of Pandit Malikarjun Mansur's style. Very happy to hear the pure Jaipur Atraulli style.

Most of the people don't know the level of Sudhirji. It is good luck that Shrutiji got such a nice accompaniment of Harmonium by Sudhirji!

Beautiful singing, but the sound of the harmonium is such a turnoff. Why do people use harmonium as an accompaniment when the sarangi is there..Can anyone suggest good recordings with sarangi as the accompaniment.
You can check out the videos with Pt. Narayanrao Bodas and Pt. Kedar Bodas on the First Edition Arts TH-cam channel where they have used the sarangi as the accompanying instrument.
Sarangi players are hard to come by these days. Also many singers like the fixed notes of the harmonium, perhaps because they can judge their divergence form the note. Anyway, someone should invent a better sounding harmonium.

Tabla is out of tune. Its half a pitch higher than what's needed.
Manjiri's singing is great as always.
It is a little high, but I think it mostly the audio. There was some feedback, and the levels were not mixed properly.

What are you talking? This is an amazingly pure recitation of Todi. The ornamentations is so varied and exact it takes one's breath away.

@@boneyboneybali9270 As a listener everybody has the right to say few words we cannot deny their thoughts only because artist is great or respected. A true listener always put up his words with due respect to the artist.
If we listen this of किशोरीताई 😍 o my god it's like who we are to appreciate. We just have to surrender.
