This is the best solo Peter tosh ever made, once separated from Bob, he never made a striking one again , but we all know many others made by the wailers, which means Bob was behind it
Awesome job. The way pedal is a great debate. In the studio, they might have used a version of a MuTron Envelope Filter pedal, which is very similar to a wah
the first solo that I'm trying to learn so that I love it! Really thank you for the explanation and tab! With the tab only it is sure that it wd be impossible for me ^^ The 30 first seconds are now ok! I guess that it will turn a bit harder now xD Thx mate ;)
the solo on "Stir It Up" is a blend of both a guitar and an electric piano/clavinet, routed through the same amp and effect. but this performance is damn good!!! keep up the good work
man, you just opened my..... ears...! it's many keyboard in fact....! i felt on my ass...! thank you ! too bad, the keyboard/clavinette got absolute no credit in the original video recording.... That solo is amazing !
Great work. ..sound near perfect...it was played by Wayne Perkins using a wah. He was recruited by Chris Blackwell to play guitar on this record "Catch a Fire"Stir it Up, Concrete Jungle & Baby we got a Date. A lot of the solo is doubled by a clavinet to get that sound. Peter tosh played minimal guitar on this record. That being said he (Peter) is an amazing player.
@@Lostsheepp have you seen the documentary "The making of Catch a fire" from Island Records? Actually it was mostly a clavinet w/ a wah pedal that played this solo doubled by a guitar in some areas. Very interesting. John "Rabbit" Bundrick played the clav solo & talked about it in the documentary as well. For a long time I though it was Peter Tosh as well. I am a huge Tosh fan as well...In fact I like all of his albums more than any of the Bob albums.
I think the solo on ultimate guitar is similar to your version but it is an octave higher up. They both also end on note A. I think the solo is pretty easy but I will stick with ultimate guitar ver. as it sounds similar to yours. I think the hardest part is not the Peter Tosh solo but the Bob Marley semi muted strumming. The left hand delicate and the right hand whipping!
@@deakteetranscriptions I have the feeling that one or two notes are missing I am working on it but ... it does not fit :) Do not worry unless one day you have time :) It's already so nice of us make it all available! Have a good day ;)
@@deakteetranscriptions ha ha Dear deaktee!!! ;) This time I'm sure that I found smalls mistakes in this tab :) It is very pretentious from me to say that as I havent 1/100e of your skills :-) I Nearly finished to learn it :O It wasn't esay for a first solo to learn! If you want I can upload a jpeg of small corrections I found but if I was able to correct it everybody will be able too (between 1.02 et 1.12 always the same note on B string) xD Would you qualify this solo as for beginers? I guess yes :p Chears and thank you soooo much man!!

Awesome job. The way pedal is a great debate. In the studio, they might have used a version of a MuTron Envelope Filter pedal, which is very similar to a wah

Já gostei já gostei, tocou Bob me escreve.
You need a wah pedal and a tad bit of flanger
so notes slightly unpleasant to the ear but its a good starting point for me so say thank you
❤
Damn
tutorial pleasee i beg you hahah
i could never tell if that was a guitar solo or a keys solo
it's a mix or a guitar with crazy effects
