@@XyanGuitar yes :p well it's weird at first, but it's less thinking because it's mirrored (for right handed guitarists). i see you have a lot of bob marley tutorials, thats cool bro
@@SkillnoMusic you are a very smart brother!! Yes sir! Bob marley is known all over the world and we got a lot of people who's not from Jamaica playing 90% of his songs wrong! In fact a lot of people think reggae is very easy to play so I'm here to change that!
Broke the small E string while watching this vid. Well, I am off to the music store tomorrow to buy an E String to gi back and try and nail Stir It Up. Rest In Peace JOHNNY NASH who did a nice version of STIR IT UP back in the early 1970's. He past away in Houston, Texas on 6th October, 2020.
One of my all-time favorite guitar solos by one of the most underrated guitarists of his generation! Peter Tosh has some fantastic guitar work out there! Also FANTASTIC TONE my man! Sounds GREAT!
Forgot to mention that STIR IT UP was Bob Marley's first song to hit the Charts outside Jamaica, reaching #13 on the English Charts.... perhaps a launching board for him with thanks from Johnmy Nash also recording it. They appeared together at a local Peckham Primary School at the invitation of a white music teacher h who bumped into both of them. He didn't think they'd turn up at his school but they both did carrying guitars and playing soccer with the school kids afterwards. The teacher's photos of them both halpy and laughing with the teens.

Niice my friend. Really appreciate your videos teaching reggae. I wonder if you can help me with the effects on the guitar in the intro part of this song (the one the sounds like a wah wah, not sure if that's what it is) Cheers from Central America;)
Xyan, i am just taking another look at how you play the Stir it Up solo, and i must honestly, tell you that i really like the way you play this solo. Xyan, i am very thanksful to you for the effort , energy and time that you have put into this lesson. I am really grateful Xyan. Thank you. Xyan what kind of guitar effect did Bob Marley and the wailers used for this solo? Second question: What are the best Guitar effect, wah wah pedal that are most suitable for reggae music, the kind of Guitar effect and wah wah pedal that musician like Peter Tosh and Bob Marley uses for their music?
There's so much to choose from. It all depends on the mood of the song at time. The best Wah pedal is the cry baby. Just make sure when you set up in the chain it doesn't thin out your tone too much so find the best place to put it in your chain. I'd put it first in the chain 🤷🏾♂️ You can check this site for better explanation pedals.thedelimagazine.com/the-five-guitar-pedals-you-need-for-reggae/
