  • Bob Marley & The Wailers do a live in-studio performance before performing live for @bbcradio2’s Old Grey Whistle Test. They perform "Stir It Up" and "Concrete Jungle" during this set. I am. I was a HUGE fan in my late teens in the 70's of Bob Marley, still am. I had all his albums in vinyl. Lol .Going through a tough, serious illness, and I'm here reminiscing. My soul feels better, lighter, listening to his music. He had such wisdom. It saddens me to see all the divisiveness in the world today. He was truly a force for good. ❤

Interestingly, that is only mostly true, because today I learned that they are singing to a backingtrack, prerecorded by producer Chris Blackwell, and the wah wah guitar is not Peter or Bob, but a legendary white guitarist from Alabama named Wayne Perkins, who had worked with many great artists. He is on 3 tracks of the Catch a Fire album, and this recording, and he did an amazing job. But yeah, all of The Wailers are gone now sadly :(

Good LORD Bob lived every word he sang here. Unbelievable man with lyrics that will ring true and live on forever. This song brings tears almost every time and I pray that one day everyone on this planet truly feels united. Not from some bad event that can unite for a bit, but true love for one another. Bob is the way.
