  • Bran Stark is probably the most important character for the upcoming Battle for Dawn, But he may just be the most important character in the whole story A song of Ice and fire or Game of Thrones ... But the biggest question is What can Bran do? What can Bran Stark actually do? Is he a warg?, a skinchanger? What is he going to do to help in the wars to come? Can he change the past? and see the future? Could he bring down the hammer of the waters?? Stay tuned!

    In the books when Theon is at the gods wood talking to the gods...he hears the tree sort of whispering something....that could be Bran from the future trying to reach him.

    I think the whole story was foreshadowed in the 1st episode in the scene where Bran was practicing archery. All eyes where on him, he was the center of the action, center of the story. Ned and Catelyn looked on from above. Jon and Rob were giving Bran counsel "Go on. Don't think too much, Bran. Relax your bow arm."
    They even showed the future plot twist BRAN MISSES THE TARGET... but it is Arya who gets a bullseye, therefore I think it will be Arya who will cast the fatal blow. As much as the story revolves around Bran it revolves around Arya too. However, Arya's story has always been hidden, to hit the bullseye she comes out of "nowhere" to take aim.
    To make the point even stronger Ned exclaims when Bran misses"And which one of you was a marksman at ten? Keep practicing, Bran." To which, Arya steps out of the shadow to show she has perfect aim, she is a marksman at ten years old.
    Another instance that showed Arya is the true warrior is the meeting of Robert, Bran tells him he is going to be a warrior but it is Arya who showed up dressed for battle in a helmet, Arya even pushes Bran out of line and takes his place.
    Only one person knows of her abilities Jaqen, the only other person was the waif and she was killed. Arya parallels Bran's journey as she too was in training, hidden from the world in a windowless environment.
    My only question is who's side is "our Bran" really on. Have the Faceless men built into his story a contingency plan?
    Oh, it is also quite telling that the only person not part of the scene is Sansa.

    You never fail to give a brother something to think about.. Amazing video. I am not quite sure exactly what Bran is going to do but.... Every since he handed Arya that Catspaw dagger, a dagger we found listed in the book Sam was reading at the Citedel... I believe Bran sees something significant in that dagger, Arya, and the Others. We know one thing about Bran... He is completely focused on the Night King and what he has to do. That dagger must be important if it's mentioned in a text that is locked away in Old town where only Maesters have access to it. Sure we could say he knew Arya would use it to kill Littlefinger yada yada... But let's be real... Littlefinger is a non factor little roach of a threat in Bran's estimation.. The squabbling over the realm is petty to him. Getting rid of Baelish is a small, just the beginning type of thing. I believe both Arya and Bran have a significant role to play with that dagger and Bran sees it or atleast senses it. But we will see

      Shamun Freeman i too said something deeper was up with Bran giving Arya that dagger. When Littlefinger gave it to him Bran asked him did he know who it belonged to, and he started talking about the catspaw Bran the wise and all knowing i believe he was talking in terms of the actual owner as in past tense as in i believe that it was Rhaegar Targaryen's. I also think that Bran already saw that Arya was to kill Littlefinger with it presently and he saw that she would need it in the wars yo come she is to save or kill someone important with it everyone who has a Valyrian steel weapon is important in the great war Jamie,Breinne together makes Ned' ancient sword ice,Jon,Sam has heartsbane and Arya the dagger all will be important in the great war

    I have never heard the theory of Bran flooding the Neck. Awesome. Also, Bran is mentioned about having the ability to inhabit sea creatures. I can't help but think he may take out Euron by becoming a kraken or the sea dragon "Nagga". I wonder if the Golden Company even makes it to Westeros.

    Can go into the past, witness & inform about it. Can see the present which means he can spy on the NK & Cersei. Can only have visions/dreams about the future, no definitive picture, just flashing hints. Most definitely he will provide valuable info that is the key to stop the Long Night from occuring again & even help someone win the Game of Thrones.
    But with only 6 episodes left, no matter how big each one is, I think Bran's role, powers, etc are going to be better represented in the books, whenever they are written. Only there we will get to understand the scope of everything he is.

    • @Dragonn_King
      @Dragonn_King 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I think he is more of bridge from the past to the present. Not a time traveller. As far as his visions in the show go, everything he has seen is to help him in the present. He isn't going back and changing anything.

    I believe Bran has the ability to do whatever the Night King can do and possibly more, he just hasn’t reached his potential just yet. The Night King has had a long time to hone his abilities. If the Night King could affect Bran in greensight, then Bran can affect the Night King. I think the 3 Eyed Raven is the Night Kings only true rival. It almost seems like no matter who the 3 Eyed Raven is they have to become crippled or immobile to become a sort of living router that has to stay in proximity to a Weirwood the way a computer has to stay in proximity to Wi Fi.

    House Blackstark wondered if Bran would physically ride a dragon in season 8. I have been thinking for several weeks about that scene in season 1 where Tyrion designed a special horse saddle for Bran (that was never used as far as I know) and wondering if that foreshadows a special “dragon saddle”.

    As far as the blood sacrifice to the Weirwoods, I like to think that the Starks have been unintentionally feeding the Weirwood in the godswood at Winterfell. Since the Lord of Winterfell traditionally cleans their sword in the pool beneath it, as opposed to wiping it clean post battle which seems more common.

    He can change the past. When they revisit that scene without bloodraven, Bran doesn't say anything this time but Ned turns around as if he heard him, lile the first time. He changed time by making Ned stall on the stairs. He definetlwy can change time and I would not be suprised if it was Bloodraven who drove the mad king mad by whispering, or maybe Bran, but I think it is Bloodraven and I think that is why he looks so concerned because he knows what effects you do to the people you are whispering to.

    Oh, my God. I just had a thought. What if this Bran is the reincarnation of all the other Bran Starks, INCLUDING the Night King, who is Bran the Builder! The Children of the Forest helped him build the wall to keep men out, not the other way around, then they convinced him to sacrifice himself to seal the deal.
    Back to what I said about keeping men out: Look at where the other buildings are that Bran the Builder built: Old Town is in the West, Storm's End is in the East....there's something on each coast to protect Westeros and the Children of the Forest from the invasion of men.

      It doesn't matter what Bran *does*.
      The past makes us who we are;
      therefore,
      anything Bran *does*
      is already written...destinies and fates are but stories.
      EVERYTHING IS AS IT SHOULD BE!
      A minute ago you would've done the same thing you would've done that led up to that point. If Bran changes anything to affect it
      You would still do the same thing you did. Only Bran would know the difference. The only thing Bran can do that matters is use the past to make better decisions for tomorrow in whatever "team" he "wants" to support.
      Its the philosophy of Time Travel and how it parallels change. For change to happen there must
      always be a balance
      to know
      the difference between
      everything.
      *Bran's role is to remind the North*

      Roland Deschain, in a sense, yes. But I'm not alone. There are many thousands of us, scattered across the globe, of every age, every race, all genders.
      We have an affinity for the green. Trees speak to us, and we to them. In 2007, I had the great privilege to travel to Honolulu, Hawaii, and attend the conference of the International Society of Arboriculture. While there, I had the opportunity to interview Bernard Strausser, then 9 time international tree climbing champion.
      I asked him, "What is your approach to climbing a tree?" His response? "I ask the tree what it needs me to do." A true wizard of the wood, if ever there was.
      I watched his performance during competition. It was truly magical. He was on a different level, even from me.
      So yes, I've accomplished things in the trees most people couldn't imagine were possible. On more than one occasion I've cut branches between high voltage lines and structures with inches clearance and had them fall to the ground precisely where I intended. If that isn't a bit of wizardry, I don't know what is!:)
      So if you have any tree care questions, please visit me at my channel, in my name. I might not have the answer, but I can steer you in the right direction.
      Cheers!:)

    I've pointed to the text whenever people have been skeptical about bran skin changing into a dragon. "any beast that flies or swims or crawls"-ASOS Its what the Night King is doing to his army on a grand scale, that's why they arnt mindless zombies and you can see they are hive minded in both books and show(throwing themselves from cliffs because they know its both faster and are aware it won't kill them). And at the risk of losing people I'm pretty convinced that Bran=Night King. That's the reason the army of the dead seemed to march in place for years. The night king was waiting for the dragon he always knew was coming via greensight. Everything the night king does is slow and calculated. Reminds me of Jojen actually. When you can see the future everything is destined and you're just going through the motions.

    I've told this story before, but I think Bran IS the Night King. And I think our little Bran, has already been Bran the poet and Bran the hero and Bran the Builder and Bran the adventurer, not to mention Bran the first of his name and the founder of House Stark. I think Bran went back and tried to stop / prevent / change the making of the Night King, only to discover a) he couldn't, because 'The ink is dry' and b) now the magic has trapped him in that undead body, and the only way out of it would be for that body to die, and that body is not destined to die until the timeframe of the show, when Azor Ahai is destined to kill it.

      I agree with you 100%. This is why he hesitated when giving Catspaw to Arya...looking at it with some sort of regret before snapping back to his 3 eyed raven self. That was his sacrifice...he knows that dagger, the same one Sam Tarly saw in the book, was going to end him, thus ending the NK.

      IvyMoon - How can he time travel? That doesn't make sense either. But clearly he can.
      Suppose you could, so you slip back an hour, and then wait for yourself to walk into that room. Wait another few minutes and slip back an hour again. Now there's three of you in the room... How can it happen? Well if you permit time travel then it is a possibility. There's a whole bunch of other strange ones as well. These things are called time travel paradoxes, and writers have been scratching their heads and playing with this stuff for over a century now... Exactly what is and isn't possible, depends on the author and her/his imagination.
      It's like this stuff about "It is the past. The ink is dry." Exactly how that works depends a bit on the author. In the version told by George RR, it seems you can go back, and you can make small changes, but anything that would have very wide consequences, the universe or the gods or whatever, fight you. You can make small changes that don't have a significant effect on the overall picture, that's clear.

    Hi Gray Area, nice video again. As for other powers Bran may possess, here are some from the books to consider. 'Raising the dead' -- Leaf warns him not to attempt to bring his father back from the dead, which infers this could actually be done. It fits with the rebirth motif running through the books.'The trees as mobilized fighters' -- LotR style, the CotF are said to have used their magic to do this in the past. The trees are given military type descriptions throughout the books and are constantly personified, grabbing, pulling, tripping, talking etc. There's even a passage describing how they look like they were going to uproot and charge. Whether George goes full LotR is up for debate, but he could just have them help. They do this when they hide Bran from the Whites by dropping a load of snow on him so he' out of sight etc....'Travel in the wind' -- Just like the naturalistic gods of mythology, there are plenty of strong hints in the books that the greenseers use wind to get around and spy on goings on in Westeros. I think Bran is already doing this in the novels. In fact the clip you showed of Bran calling out to his father in the show was explained by Bloodraven as Ned 'just hearing a whisper on the wind' which almost confirms this imo. It makes sense considering the weirwoods speech is described as 'the wind making the leaves rustle' bfore any tree talk. Again the wind is personified throughout the novels and is constantly blowing around our main characters with some descriptions that sound very much like Bran and Bloodraven.I think Bran isn't just a wizard, he's the most powerful wizard Westeros has seen in thousands of years. Cheers Gray Area. :)

    In the back of my mind I kind of think that the 3-eyed raven that died is actually Bran as an old man. Can't explain it - but they are the same person to me somehow.

    Bran just has me All messed up. One minute I think he could be All Brans or at least Use them. We Never see Brandon as in Ned big bro in Any visions or flashbacks. The look on Bloodraven is of fear of what he Knows is to come or just didn't want to stop him then. He has to know what he can and will do right? That chapter though. Bran POV and a lot of Jon in it also. I wonder if will relate to the ending how they are then. Great video as Always Graybae ❣️🔥🔥❄️ Have a Lovely Day

    I still really think Bran is the Night King or could become another NK through their shared connection to the trees and greensight, cuz they're arguably, part of a hivemind which is why Bran is losing himself more and more as he experiences essentially, lifetimes of memories. I really think that he's so important cuz he's the only one capable of ending the NK.

    Is it possible that brand has been going back and change the past and that's why he started the series in chapter 1. Could it be its him trying to fix everything and is as an analyst replay of this family's life until they get it right? What do you think

    What if, the only reason why the NK has the 'ability' to warg the dead without 'going white eyed'(as someone previously said) is because the NK is ALREADY warged into, in the past(by Bran of course...)? - That scene at the tree north of the wall during the NK's creation
    Bran is still alive in the present, so can warg the living.
    Bran is dead in the past(by being warged into someone(the NK) who died while being in his skin), so can warg the dead
    Basically, Bran is the NK in any scenario, deal with it

    Gray Area so this sacrificing bit has me thinking. How bittersweet it would be if it was necessary for either Jon or Dany or both to be sacrificed in order to defeat the Night King. Hmmmm...?

    • @victoriasantoro6692
      @victoriasantoro6692 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      just bitter ..not bittersweet ..There could be a bittersweet ending with the magic gone ,dragons ,direwolves,icy zombies and etc dies or disappear..but the main characters survives and decides to live a more simple life..just as happened in the LOTR books/movies..Having one character dies and the other lives with the trauma to raise alone a child ..or both dying and their child be an orphan ..its just tragic and bitter..not sweet.

    • @TheManInBlueFlames
      @TheManInBlueFlames 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I agree. It's not bittersweet, it's tragic.

    • @thundadragonlady
      @thundadragonlady 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Tragic would be the loss of all humanity. We see it as tragic because we are attatched to key players. Mel always reminds people that they have a key role in the great war to come. In war there are always casualties. Yes incredibly sad to witness the loss of few loved ones (like in real life), how about the tragedy of the entire world being wipe out? This series is too dark to be butterflies and rainbows. Sacrifice is a huge element in this story. At this point I am so committed to most characters that the fact that it has to end at all is the most tragic thing of all for me. Lol, GOT fan for life.

    • @victoriasantoro6692
      @victoriasantoro6692 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      there hasnt to be a literal sacrifice or a sacrifice of of the main characters by the other or both..In the show the things will going on this way..in the next books GRRM most probably will sacrifice some main characters.

    "The PAST is already written, the ink is DRY!" I think you're right in many accounts! Bran needs to witness past events to learn what's needed! The Three Eyed Raven must have also known he too would die in the fashion he did LONG before even Jogen knew of his own fate! If the Three Eyed Raven hadn't been kept alive by the Weir-Wood Tree for all those years, he would have died long ago! Even the Children of the Forest chose to die for Bran as WELL... So Bran is TRULY very important! The Knight King Was Coming For Bran...as you have said, NOT this Three Eyed Raven, but the NEW Three Eyed Raven who's even more powerful than the old Three Eyed Raven... He's 1 in 1,000,000 or something... Like you mentioned... a High Green Seer! He must be able to effect the past... One the Three Eyed Raven tried to pull him away from... but we all saw his father turn... and Bran wasn't even a twinkle in his father's eye... His older brother was probably 1 years old... at the "Tower of Joy!"

  • @brianachim2670
    @brianachim2670 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I hope Bran has more powers, like creating forcefields. The children of the forest and previous 3 eyed Raven did it.
