Hey there, neighbor! I do like Guiry’s…and they have multiple convenient locations. For what they lack in staff knowledge, they score gif in location accessibility! To me, the end-all, beat-all for brick & mortar is Meininger’s downtown on Broadway. And did you know we have a Jerry’s Artarama in Ft Collins? I’ll have to make a road trip someday!

@@artonthecreek Oh yes, Derwent pencils smell the best! Well, I love Derwent Drawing Pencils the most, such dreamy creamy colours, but the Graphitints and Inktense are a close, very close second each!
Lol now I’m going to go smell my Derwent Inktense and Blocks! You have me very intrigued!! Love Derwent-I’ve never been disappointed with any of their supplies🥰

I've been wanting to check out Jackson's watercolors for a long time so I'm excited to hear what you think about them 😊 I bought a sketchbook similar to your shiba one and I think they are made by the same company with the same paper but different covers and labels- I've seen some artists review them, different brands yet very similar paper to mine. And I really enjoyed them even though they are not cotton paper, I mostly enjoyed that they don't buckle with a lot of water so I hope you'll find it fun to use as well 🌺

I only have the Irodori Summer, but I love them. I will say though that I suspected mine were purchase returns. I think yours is as well, since only one of yours came with a brochure. My Summer had a brochure. But I swatched the paints and they are definitely Holbein and not fake or anything, so I'm pleased, especially for the price. Hope you enjoy your new supplies!
Thanks! That’s interesting…that didn’t occur to be me. I’m pretty sure the listing didn’t mention they weren’t new…but who knows; honesty can be a rare commodity sometimes! All the tubes seem to be full, and yes they are definitely Holbein. So that’s two positives! I’ve got the gouache next on the list of things to feature, so a swatch video & review of at least one of the sets will definitely be up this month! Thanks for your insights I appreciate you!❤️
