Think this is best use of brusho I have seen. Thanks for your demo. I do wonder why you chose to leave that part that has no paint or brusho on it. Don't think you mentioned that decision, kind of curious choice but you painted this years ago so will probably remain unanswered. I like your paintings a lot and plan to try painting along with you.

The wing is supposed to be dramatic highlight and I think it’s more pronounced due to the way the video is processed/exposed … in real life, the wing had more lines and textures in it -more realistic:) Enjoy the art journey. Hi! I was mesmerized at the ease you had using brusho. I have tried and tried to make it work but it always blends too much looking like a hot mess. I will try your method. I also would love to know where you got your brushes. I have looked around but could not find an exact match to the ones you use. Can you share your source. Thank you so much.
Cheap joes has them! Really any Chinese calligraphy brushes will work if they’re at all decent and they’re not ha ha ha ha ha Thank you for the kind words very much appreciated enjoy the art journey!
djwiegand1 I used to be a real “mop” head especially the isabey line but lately I’ve fallen in love with Yu Mings Chinese lettering brushes by Connoisseur ! Dreamy! I have a small med Nd large and that’s about all I ever pick up:)

HI there, I only just found out about brusho powders, love what you did here. Great video, very helpful . It looks like the brusho once dry, is then waterproof and wont smudge or re generate ( not sure how to explain) once water colors goes on top? That's what it looks like when I watched so just wanted to double check.?TIA
Hilde Marsh Quite the contrary :) they will regenerate and Easley smudge and bleed... I like to take a soft scowering pad (scotchbrite )and slough off the extra crystals before a second wash to try to minimize the effect please check out my videos on my website artofward.com much more information they’re glad you found Brusho welcome to the revolution!
Pat Kelly if it’s not a “lizard lick” from cheap joes it should be. I did buy some expensive pointy brushes but I highly recommend the lizard lick. It’s affordable and it’s crazy fabulous form”rigger “ work and I sign all my painting with one now :) I use a medium sized one. Please let me know whatcha think?:)
Hello my friend :) I'm pretty sure I did a random "clown barf" or rainbow mix of colors. I've been trying to get Brusho to make a rainbow pot and name it after me for years. I think it would be smashing! just be careful not to pit to many "secondaries" as the dreaded "mud" effect could happen:) enjoy! cheers!!!
@@WardStroud Hahahaaaa they should considering the amount you’ve probably sold for them and you are known as the “Brusho Man!” Guess I’ll experiment with the 6 jeweled colors I got (red, yellow, orange, purple, blue and green shades). I didn’t draw your leaf, so I’m thinking about what kind of wash to do in the background or maybe just leave it plain and let the dragonfly be the main show. Ugggg decisions, but it’s my first time with Brusho before I do your blue sea turtle which is my ultimate favorite!
t damholt in the photo the wing and body top are “blown out” completely white. I did paint it ten lifted it back off. I wish I had left it but hey... love and learn:) thanks for the comment. Much appreciated. I’m glad to know people are looking and taking time to add to the video:)
The companies official stance (let me be clear. I do not speak for them ) I believe is that -while Ink and Dye based pigments not a light fast by nature- I can share that my paintings from now oh my gosh over 10 years ago still look fabulous and still very vibrant.
