@@steinanderson I knew there was something important I was forgetting about Kings when writing this but couldn't put my finger on what it was...opposition of course! Thank you :)
Love this series on how to use the various pieces. Good luck on your tournament. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you rock it! Thanks for all the great content.
I’m super stoked for Master Nelson’s upcoming tournament! Watching titled chess players give recaps on their OTB games is some of the best chess content you can witness. Good luck, Master Nelson! I hope you have a lot of fun! :)
I have loved your strategy/ playlist. I am nearly at the end. :( feel free to add anymore from the many video section. Thanks for all the hard work. I havent learntva ton from watching your channel
Really enjoying these series about using the pieces. One comment I have about the position at 14:38 where you can sacrifice the rook is that it in that particular example it doesn't lead to checkmate if you move your rook to E8 for instance instead of accepting the sacrifice. It's a great example though because many players will not see the unavoidable mate. Thanks a lot!
Great video .. It would be great if you can make a video for beginners explaining the openings , like The Italian Game The Sicilian Defense The French Defense The Ruy-Lopez The Slav Defense And how the opponent should react to each of them . Thanks
Please do a video on finding the most instructive squares / making your pieces most active. Magnus Carlsens said this is the number 1 principle he uses when playing and helps to guide one when deciding when to break general principles
I would like to see this, too. It was kind of what I was expecting from this video, how to know where to place the queen for most activity, rather than tactical ideas.
It is also interesting to think of the game holistically, this is a pattern I noticed many years ago, and applies to more than chess. In chess this would mean always improving your structure and slowly building up advantage in a mathematical sense. You might have a piece hanging, but if your evaluation score is higher and you play accordingly, you are eventually going to win. Essentially, activity is what evaluates score advantage unless there is mate in a couple of moves or incoordination of pieces.
Hey partner, I’m twice your age and half your elo. I’m helping an old friend of mine learn to play and found your channel looking for help teaching. Turns out I’m the student now.
1. e4 e5 2. Qh5 is a pretty legit opening regardless of rating. Nakamura used it quite a bit and there are some indepth opening videos about it from IM Perunovic on yt. Definitely not something to underestimate.
For the safe squares segment, would queen to B3 not be safe since black can play d6 and threaten the bishop to e6 on their next move to attack the queen
Could you do a series on using particular opening ideas in another context, say using London's ideas in another opening or using Ruy Lopez ideas to find advantages in different contexts.
Hey Nelson was thinking have you thought about putting your courses on UDEMY and other such platforms . Even put it in book form and place it on self publishing sites like kindle self publishing
Sir I like ur videos, Sir could you please tell us How to advance pawan probably in Middle of the game. Just a strong position fall down due to one wrong pawan Push .while in surface it seem OK to push it, but later position get destructed by opponent. Thank you. Have a good day
lol i say that in last comment i mean "to do a ways to use your queen evefectively in chess" you can also do this with a king in the endgame and how to defend it
Grandmasters would have a much higher rating if they didn't waste time moving their minor pieces and pawns. The queen and rooks are the best so why waste time with your other crappy pieces
I love how the thumbnail implies that even after capturing the King, the Queen still continues her murderous rampage until there are no survivors
My mercy is optional

the queen ain't messing around 😂

This is by far the best chess channel
Excellent lesson and it covered important aspects of key queen maneuvers.
GL in your tourney rootin for ya!
Thank you very much for this useful video!
1. e4 e5 2. Qh5 is a pretty legit opening regardless of rating. Nakamura used it quite a bit and there are some indepth opening videos about it from IM Perunovic on yt. Definitely not something to underestimate.
I get it, it’s just easier to go to one safe square with your queen than to be repeatedly attacked
Ty i learn a lot hahah i always repeat this video every day to get more idea
For the safe squares segment, would queen to B3 not be safe since black can play d6 and threaten the bishop to e6 on their next move to attack the queen
I'm pretty sure things like scholar mate and wayward queen attack stop being effect after 600+
This series is a very useful one 👌👌👌👏👏👏

I think that even if it is limited a how to use your king video would be nice.
how about how to trade pawns/pieces?
And if they go g6 or b6 when you're trying to attack the pawn?
Very good video thanks for your guide 🙂👍
Entertaining content. Good play in your upcoming event.
Great schooling 👏👏👏💝🌺🥂
Love how in the thumbnail the moves continued after king capture.
when is your tournament?
What about h5 to e5?
There's one thing I can't understand yet.
In the french defence when are they going to surrender?
This thumbnail is hidden comedy gold.
17:13 i frequently play this move a lot i didn't know it had a name 😆
wow thanks!
Videos with this style should stay forever!
The queen is like a more powerful (or long-range) gold general in shogi chess for the point 1.
was usefull. thx
15:13 If 2 Nb6++ Kd8, 3 Qd7#. (Not 3 Rd1+? Ke8 and White's win is now harder.)
why cant i do scholars mate and if it fails just go back
I really did all the instructions of queen before seeing your videos because I only play with queen before now I play with all
Thanks Nelson
Your the best teecher of chess for me❤

Hello!Chess Vibes,how to use king effectively... 🤔
Re: your next otb tournament... you've got this man. We all believe in you. Go crush that shit!
all the best for tournament sir.
BTW
1. e4 e5 2. Qh5 Nf6 is the Kiddie Countergambit
Best of luck!
The queen should avoid safe spaces cause she's a queen and can dominate without the need for any safe spaces. 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😎😎😎😎
Perhaps the way to do it would be "How to vs. how not to" use your King in the Endgame.
Wish you all the best
Nice video
1:01 800-1000?!? bruh I can block that at 200
17:25 After d3 you can just go Qh5+
11:15 that aint a mate cuz just move to d6 oh nvm
Good vídeo
is there going to be a video on how to use your king more effectively? 😂
A good check mate match is Queen and Rook
And you did post a "how to use your king" video after all🤣
i did the queen h5 thing when i created a new account and won 3 games lmao
the Nelson bot attack
If i watched this video early i would have won the tournament
lol i say that in last comment i mean "to do a ways to use your queen evefectively in chess" you can also do this with a king in the endgame and how to defend it
also thanks for your videos, i lern from you very much and have V category right now and going for the III category. :D
Again, Title says: "ways to use your queen efficiently"
Thumbnail: "Ok then, time to become Pac-man!"
I like this video
The thumbnail wouldnt work since if the queen takes out h7 the rook would take out the queen
I fart in nelsons general direction...haha.
Just chase and take his queen...and he folds.
Thumbnail be like: The best way to use queen is to kill every opponent's piece with it
Yo creo q Kurohige robará el poder de IM y será el enemigo final
“800-1000” to stop scholars mate😭😭😭😭 you won’t get over 200 before you figure it out
Good luck!
Wow in the thumbnail the king got killed
👌
WHO IS THIS GUY?
Naah dude queen is so broken it needs a nerf so bad
Me (who already knew 10 ways to lose the queen) :- Heh, amateur
At 14 minut3 mark I thought of queen d3
You forgot the famous botez gambit lol
What is that thumbnail bro 💀
