I've been working out something like this is my head but hadn't come up with exactly how I wanted to do it. You just solved that for me. Fantastic video - simple and easy to follow. Thank you! I can't wait to make one! I'm looking forward to checking out more of your videos.
Marsh Rat You're well on your way. My Mom taught me, many years ago, on an old treadle machine. Skill that has often come in handy over the years. Independence & self-reliance! :-)
I wouldn't have thought of something like this, so simple, yet so practical. But, when I set out to do something, I always over-engineer it (I'm your stereotypical German), and I usually create a monster.

Thank you. The organizer was fun and easy to make.
Good use of a thread injector. Thanks for sharing.
+Oldtimer Lee This was my first use of a $25 Singer and wifey gave me lessons. I should have paid more attention to her. LOL

+Kevin S Simple minds have simple solutions, I guess. One of my best pals is of German heritage and is a retired electrical engineer...go figure.
Marsh Rat I'm a retired custom gunsmith. It's easier for me to build one from "scratch" than to fix one.
how do you keep the organizer in place on the ridgeline? mine ends up sliding, and scrunches up.
maybe my ridgeline is tighter than yours since mine don't slide. Sorry to be of no help
Look up prusik knots. It's a simple knot that slides until its under any load.
