Tim Nichols knocking it out of the park with these videos! Thank you for giving us awesome reviews and comparisons without peddling your newest book or personal venture.
Thomas Nelson is just knocking it out of the park! The Sovereign and MacLaren each need to pursues the premier collection love with these editions. Also, could you imagine if Thomas Nelson used these same line ups but incorporated additional translations. They would totally give Schuler a serious run for their money.
I just received the NKJV Large Print Sovereign in black It is comfortable to hold and read. I love the print size and verse by verse. I did have to do a glue touch up at the top where the liner, cover and band met. Not a big deal. I would absolutely buy a premium version of this.
Are these verse by verse? Finally, BOOK INTRODUCTIONS! As much as I have converted away from red letter (hard on my eyes) I would consider it in this case, just to have those book intros. The drop caps are gorgeous as well.
Pastor Tim - I'm curious, how does someone find out the page thickness prior to ordering a new Bible? I don't recall seeing that in the descriptions for most Bibles on Amazon, etc. (I have a low tolerance for show through. 😆)
I have seen quite a few Bibles recently where the paper paste down liner goes to the presentation page. Thats one decision I don't understand at all. Otherwise this is a home run. Although I want it for the RSV
Yeah I wasn't as impressed with the RSV version as I was with the other's personally. But black letter is cool. Whoa! I didn't realize mine were edgelined, that's cool.
Are there any bibles that you know of that have ocassional artwork like a picture of jesus or other things that go with the storys. But no extra notes?
Glory to Jesus Christ! Just saw Randy Brown’s review. He said it was 30 gsm paper. He was not happy with the ghosting. I don’t understand why Bible publishers currently are reluctant to provide genuine leather covers! It is the same with the RSV-CE that recently came out. The cost point is not that different from these faux leathers.
I know it's subjective but I don't get the hype to the Sovereign collection. The red is atrocious, more pink than red. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
I think on the original, it's a bit too much of a red overload. And combined with the fact that the red letter wasn't really crimson like Cambridge does it, it did feel a bit light in comparison to the drop caps. But I think they really improved things when they went to the three color scheme on the wide margin. I love reading from my NKJV sovereign wide margin because of that. The gold, black, and red not only pops on the page, but there's less eye fatigue in my opinion.
I have the Wide Margin; it's absolutely gorgeous. A question, if i may? Are the Personal Size Sovereigns still edge lined, or have TN done away with that feature? Thanks for the review, Tim @anickelsworthbiblereviews.

Wildsmith is my friend. He’s a good man.
@ cool. I didn’t mention anyone specifically. Just complemented your personal work.

Actually I have seen the Maclaren come in the goatskin. 😊 I would love to see the Sovereign in a premium!
Yasssss ❤❤❤ I'm one who can't drop 250 for a bible so the sovereigns are amazing 😍😍😍
Me, too. 😊
I will definitely be getting a kjv large print Sovereign. My favorite has just become even better!
Can't wait for the sovereign collection in goatskin to come out.
The extra margin space in the large print is nice.
Thanks Tim,I have a sovereign in the RSV,I like it very much
Love the Sovereign series too! Keep making them Thomas Nelson.

Thomas Nelson coming for that Canterbury...! If they make a premier version that would be AWESOME
I really do love the sovereign. It’s the most premium non-premium Bible. Wish you could get more edge lined non premium bibles like it.
I have the leather Nkjv version. I’m probably going to get the goatskin version coming later this year.
Another great review thanks brother
I'm waiting for the Holman marbled calfskin KJV. And I buy my copies.
Are these verse by verse?

Yes they are verse by verse.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews Thank you.
Great review as usual Tim, thank you! I would prefer a genuine leather. Or a premier in the large print.
I have both the wide margin and personal size in these.

Experience and knowing the general rule of thumb that publishers use for certain editions. We can normally guess it pretty accurately.

Tim. Off the top of your head, do you know if the NKJV sovereign has as many references and translator notes as the classic center column reference?
I believe the Classic Reference is the most robust one Nelson offers.
Would it make for a good rebind?
I think so.
That’s iffy. I think I’ll try one and see. The paper is a bit thin, and it seems several are having issues with the gilding.
Would be nice if they released a version without the footnotes/cross references. The centre-aligned notes are frustrating.
Pozdrav iz Srbije (Serbia 🇷🇸) .
The references section is better and more meaty in the Thomas Nelson vs Schuyler.
OoO exciting!

Humble Lamb Bibles have artwork by Dore'. Not every story, but quite a few.
Humble Lamb with the Dore' prints.
Also the CSB Adorned Bible from Holman.
@@pkmcnett5649 thanks
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews thanks!! I ordered the CSB Adorned Bible
I like medium size print and medium margins. This is hard to find.
Do they lie on their side as God intended? 🎉
lol! Yes they do. Even though the print is upright.
Glory to Jesus Christ!

I don’t get people thinking the letters are pink.
@ they were too me. At least the old ones. I bought one and returned it because the red was so bad.

I have the new NKJV large print. The letters are not pink at all. Very nice Bible!
Pink was the old Thompson Chain Reference Bibles.
I have the Wide Margin; it's absolutely gorgeous. A question, if i may? Are the Personal Size Sovereigns still edge lined, or have TN done away with that feature?
Thanks for the review, Tim @anickelsworthbiblereviews.
I’m not certain if the original edge lined ones sold out or not.
