  • Ever wanted to quit your job and go travelling round the world? Well that's what we did - and we filmed it all!
In this second episode of our backpacking documentary series we travel to Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
An action packed journey through South East Asia - this episode has a bit of everything: partying, wake boarding and rock climbing on Castaway Island in Halong Bay; tubing in Laos; visiting the Killing Fields in Phnom Penh; exploring Angkor Wat; firing AK-47s at a shooting range; travelling to a fishing village near Siem Reap plus lots more.
Watch the entire HK2NY series here as we travel through 20 countries, across 4 continents in 9 months: yt.vu/p/PLi_ubgzYiPgvxje3qGjE1...
If you wanna know how much the whole trip cost and how we budgeted check out this short video here:

I think I've watched the HK to NY series 6 or 7 times during lockdown. I'm living vicariously through these vids Karl :)

Been powering through these videos the past few days. I'm truly happy that you guys decided to share these experiences with the world as opposed to keeping it off-camera. Thank you!

The 2 days on Castaway island would have really appealed to my 18 year old self but now I'm 25 it just looks like hell! 3 years at uni playing drinking games was more than enough for me. Besides when I'm travelling I hate to be hungover.

When you said "It's Monday morning and we're about to go wake boarding" it sunk in how epic your life must have been for those 9 months

I'm so pleased I've found this channel and this series. I have another 10 weeks off before university begins, and have been struggling to find something worth watching to occupy my time. This is it!

The person making this documentary has some real good taste in music. 20 minutes in and already The Doors and Bob Marley. Might I reccomend to you, Lou Reed, Tom Waits and Ministry. Thank you, live a good life and be kind!

Every region of the world has its horror stories as well as its beauty. A journey of contrasts. It's looking like a provocative adventure....Good stuff!

I absolutely love your videos, I've seen your new ones and only now finding this series. I would love for videos on how you prepare for an extravagant trip like this. The preparation and planning is the most nerve-racking for me, but most essential. Keep up the videos they help so many people to experience the backpacking experience while saving. Much love from Canada.

My heart sank when you parted with hard earned cash for the good old "orphanage" scam!! Unfortunately its all over SE Asia. Kudos to you for actually exposing it in the vid and doing your research about it, most people want the viewer to see the "good deed" rather than the truth behind it. You guys managed to capture so much with the one camera and the music is on point to the content/mood/theme. After 60 offers you finally booked a Tuk Tuk driver🤣🤣. Really enjoying everything.... onto Thailand we go👍
