    A car amplifier acts as the power source to your sound system. Technically, the amplifier modulates power generated from the car battery. An amp specified to your speaker's inputs will fully orchestrate your sound system with low bass beats and high frequency sounds.

    The external DSP amp is far superior than integrated amps.
    The reason you are still getting power to it is because the headunit gives it power and its set on autosleep. All PX5 units have the fast boot up time because of auto sleep is on.
    Awesome review :)

    I believe in DSP, however put your best headphones on and run this video back. Listen to several minutes or through the point in which he defaces the head unit and adds the processor. At approximately 7:20 he compares this processed music with his earlier tunes (~ 5:00 mins) and suggests there is a vast improvement. Indeed notice how everything sounds improved. Including his voice. His voice. Bruh, thanks for low key creating an advertisement for your mic. His extra in this entire video seals his fate after thinking about. Search for a better DSP video. Good Fortune

    Really it should be tested with some frequency sweep test software. To see how accurate the sound is. The problem with this video is that you’re saying “it sounds much better” without mentioning why? Just because it sounds better doesn’t mean it’s SQ. to me SQ mean it should be as flat and accurate as possible. It might sound better because you’re ears prefer more treble for example, but doesn’t mean it’s right. You should probably test it some how. Great video though, it were interesting. 😊👊🏻

      @@SteveP116 DSP means digital sound processor, basically, it has an audio input and an output, it processes audio (equalization, compression or whatever), and sends it to the output. The main purpose is to apply a parametric EQ to flatten the frequency response as much as possible, but it can have some other stuff like graphic EQ, wich you don't need because your phone already has got an equalizer. To conclude, the only reason you may want to add a DSP is to measure your frequency response and flatten it to sound better, but judging by your question I supose you don't even know what a frequency response really is, so my advice is to spend your money in other pieces of equipment like speakers or amplifiers, and someday if you want, you can do your research to figure out if you need a DSP and how to use it before buying it.

    • @javi8799
      @javi8799 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SteveP116 I forgot to mention that the only thing he does in the video is to boost the highs and bass with the DSP, something that you can actually do with your phone. And no, it wont give you more resolution either.

    To get the DSP to turn off with the key switch just cut the blue wire that sticks out and connect it to the red cable in your harness. That will make it power off within 10 seconds of turning the car off. I know that bc they sent me the harness with the blue cable seperated from the rest of the harness.

    Dude, why do you buy a DSP before knowing what is a DSP? Dsps are made to measure and correct frequency response and make It as flat as possible by using peaking filtres that you program externally with a computer. You didnt even mention how Many filtres can you add or how you can configure them. I hate looking for DSP reviews and watching videos from people Who thinks a DSP is just an amplifier or a radio with a good DAC. Im sorry, but It hurts me a lot to see people spending money on things they dont know how to use.

      hey, you seem like you know a lot about audio quality. I have a question for you if you have a minute to help me. So basically I have a skoda octavia 2008 (2 speakers in every door) and with the standard radio and aux input it sounds amazing(it even adjusts the volume according to speed, and auto adjusts treble and bass so they are always clear and does't become too annooying) But since I upgraded to a chinese android navi PX30 (non DSP)is kind of the general model using TDA7851 I can not hear all the sounds so clear anymore, and I am missing that a lot. Do you think if there is a chance this will help me? Or buyng a new navigation with DSP integrated could help me?

    • @javi8799
      @javi8799 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LupuCiprian if i was you, i would get an external DSP, like minidsp, or a Pioneer one, whatever which has at least 10 eqs that hoy can configure frequency, q factor, etc. You can get some of them for around 200-300 bucks, and you Also need an omnidireccional measurement microphone like a behringer one which can cost you around 30 bucks. You Also need an external audio interface (behringer umc202 costs 60$), but probably hoy have a musician or audiophile friend and you can ask him to use it. Search some info on TH-cam about room correction or room calibration, speaker calibration etc. It may seem yo be very difficult, but you can learn all the necessary in an afternoon, and i guarantee that It does fucking Magic to the sound of every speaker system. I have corrected the frequency response of my studio monitors, and after that every sound system i listen to sounds like shit for me. Obviously, if you want to reach some Deep bass notes like 30hz you Will need a subwoofer, but anyway, the BEST thing you can do to get the clearest sound is to correct your speakers. Hope you give It a try, and trust me, if you learn the basic concepts, is really, really east.
