    I was fortunate to have .100 firmware installed in my Noble NB4 when I bought it. All I had to do was install the FS-RM005 module and bind the receiver. The steering trim was too far off to use the method you stated, so I reset the steering trim using the instructions from Kyosho below:
    Make sure that the transmitter is powered off.
    Make sure that the steering trim knob is at the center.
    Power on the chassis.
    Set the front wheels to the center with your fingers.
    Push and hold the pairing button on the chassis for three seconds.
    Power on the transmitter. The neutral position should have been corrected.

    Question about Binding Mini-z with my NB4: I have three Mini-z cars. I assigned each car to a slot and gave it a name (Car1, Car2, Car3, etc) I then set the freq for each car to Miniz-FHSS.
    - I selected car1 and went through the binding process - success; I then turned off the car, selected car2, and did the binding. Then finally the 3rd car.
    - I tested each car - no problem; except when I had two cars powered on at the same time they both ran and responded to the transmitter. Is this normal?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, that is normal. Mini-Z FHSS doesn't have 2-way or ID lock so it will be able to drive all the cars at once.

      I don't really have a particular setting for the transmitter. Just set the EPA so it won't ruin the servo, decrease the throttle dual rate or forward rate if you feel it's too fast. That's it. • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will need to update the EVO receiver (in case you use the yellow antenna for AFHDS 3 protocol with native NB4). Here's how. It's the same as using GMR receiver. You just need to choose the Mini-Z EVO instead. th-cam.com/video/SjJkjXrSVI0/w-d-xo.html
      Anyway, you don't need the RM005 for EVO, you can just use the native NB4 receiver for it for better connection. I believe it's what you have. Otherwise the firmware won't matter if you use the RM005 with EVO because it will be in Mini-Z FHSS (white antenna) mode.

      You can bind multiple cars to a single transmitter. But if you turn the cars on the same time, they will all work off the same control.
      I'm not sure what you want to do here.
      Do you want both cars to be on while switching the model memory and drive them one by one? Or to have one transmitter to drive one car and the other to drive another one and run at the same time?

    Awesome Video!!
    I have a question regarding the lights that can be installed in the Mini-Z. Can the lights be controlled with the Flysky Noble NB4?
    Can they be selected to turn On/Off, and do the Rapid On/Off feature ?

    • @98900945r
      @98900945r 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Of course, it can. But note that the default Ch4 is on switch SW1R, so you better reassign it to variable VR1, TR3 or TR4. Kyosho doesn't support switching on/off of the light, just permanent on, blinking rapidly, then blinking slowly.

    Please help me!

    I have the specific module for noble!
    What can I do?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The EVO receiver for Noble (yellow antenna) is AFHDS 3 and you'll need to update the receiver before you can use it with 2.0.99. The method is almost like GMR where you press and hold the bind button then turn the car on, keep holding it until you got 3 slow blinks + 1 pause then you can update the receiver.
      I got the video for GMR here th-cam.com/video/SjJkjXrSVI0/w-d-xo.html . EVO can be updated from the radio directly and doesn't need a PC but it's the same method to initiate the forced update mode.

    what do you find better the flysky noble or the radiomaster mt12?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It depends on what you are after. The performance is the same between NB4 and MT12 ELRS version. NB4 is much easier to use but MT12 is more versatile.
      For small scale like 1/28 and 1/24 NB4 is better because it has micro receivers. Until ELRS has micro receivers with JST-ZH plug, I'll stay with NB4.
      MT12 is also a complete package out of the box with carrying case so I can take it outside easily.
      If I can only buy one, I'll buy the MT12 ELRS version. It's cheaper and more future proof with expansion module. The receivers are cheap (half the price of NB4) as well.

    • @BeaversHobby

      @michelesgarra3340 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BeaversHobby we live in 2021, an era where open tx, at least as regards some applications, is capable of replicating almost all protocols, we must also think that for a company like flysky, the production or development costs for a chip of the kind would be small, what I say is: if they already do it with drones, why not do it also with other types of remote controls? now it is enough to have an entrance where to mount an external module and that's it. just think of the Stick remote controls, which can mount protocols such as iRangeX or Ghost

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@michelesgarra3340 I fully understand when comparing with drone the cars are lacking behind in terms of new tech and OpenTX. However the multiprotocol isn't something the cars need because we always have enough space for a receiver. There aren't any hi-profile all-in-one boards except Kyosho Mini-Z and they already have their partners, KOPropo for ASF (and the KO Next which will come out later) and Flysky for FHSS & AFHDS 3. Also a proprietary transmitter-receiver connection is faster than going through a multiprotocol module in PPM mode. I've tested this before in my multiprotocol car transmitter. Also it's quite clunky when having to attach a module. Although a very nice idea and very nice if any manufacture would make one, I don't think it would catch on that much.

      Zero the trim on the transmitter, instead of using trim on the transmitter to make it go straight move the wheels by hands first and reset the trim.

    Hi. Your pairing light seems to still blink rapidly after you release the button. While mine seems to blink rapidly only when i still press the button, and will be back to blink slowly once i stop pressing the button. What is the cause? Do i need to update the receiver firmware? I couldn’t bind my fhss mini-z.

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try and put the radio in bind mode before the car and see if it binds. The slow blink means the car is bound to a transmitter so if it works after that then it is ok. The slow blink immediately after releasing the button comes from the car finding a transmitter in bind mode right at that moment. You don't need to update the receiver on Mini-Z RTR though. I've tried that and it did nothing. But if it's EVO, do it just to be safe.
