    Thank you for this tutorial my man. I did the same thing but used a different attachment instead. It's called the DEWALT Right Angle Flex Shaft, 12", you can get it on amazon. The attachment is $35 But I highly recommend anyone taking this project on to get this attachment. I was scared this project was going to suck after seeing this video, but it was very easy with this attachment. Thanks again for the info!

      @Aus V. you can pull on some of the plastic housing from the top towards you with one hand to create a little more space and use the other hand to get the tool onto the screw. You have to be a little creative and try out a few different methods but it isnt that difficult once u figure it out. With that tool because it is magnetic it allows you to not have to actually hold thw attachment to the screw, this means you can hold the plastic housing in onr hand and run the drill gun in the other after placing the attachment onto the screw head

    I did this today, your video helped a lot. I did take the horns off with a 10mm ratchet. Also I put 1/4 inch screws in place of those shitty Phillips screws and it saved me atleast an hour on the install. Best way to get that last right screw out is to pop the insert out as you’re unscrewing it, it provides tension onto that screw so you don’t need two hands while ratcheting it in that tight spot.

    Erockdabass: I'm getting ready to try this project and was thinking of just using a Dremel to cut out the first plastic grill insert so that I can easily reach through and get to the screws. I could also cut any of the others out if the screws are hard to get loose. I also saw another post where the guy suggested replacing the screws with a hex head screw when putting the new inserts in place so you can use a ratchet. Since you've done this project I was wondering if you thought the above ideas would make the install a bit easier? Thanks!

    • @erockdabass
      @erockdabass  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Bob, I don't know if I'd recommend cutting out the inserts with a dremel? It wasn't very difficult to remove the first center insert when I popped the top open. The hardest part for me was the far right and left inserts because of the horn and radiator getting in the way. I listed the tools I used in the description. Let me know if you have any other questions.

      erockdabass a body shop is telling me the correct way to do this is to remove the bumper - and that removing the bumper has a less chance of screwing up the paint. Is this true? I am hesitant to have them do this while removing the bumper- I feel like theres more room for error.

      @@jacknase7219 Hi Jack, if you are going to pay the shop to do the work removing the bumper should be pretty easy for them. Hi Mariah, You could totally spray the chrome grill with some plasti dip. I've seen other people do it and it looks good.
