Beauvais Cathedral fascinates me. I wonder, can we re-engineer and then complete it? It would be a challenge and a triumph for our times, and revive European heritage, identity, and historical legacy after a century of spurning it.

Dahling, your information about Beauvais Cathedral is incorrect. In 1284 some of the vaulting of the choir collapsed, not the nave. Then again in 1573 the 502 foot tall central tower collapsed. The nave was never built. A small Romanesque church dating back to the 10th-century, known as the Basse Œuvre, still occupies the site destined for the nave of the Beauvais Cathedral.
