I think the details should be given concerning the betrayal because if not, there will be sugar-coating the truth with as minimal facts as possible. Rather be devastated with the whole truth than soothed with a bunch of half-truths that do not accurately describe the degree of betrayal. The cheater should not get to skim over the ugly parts for his benefit as to not make him look so bad.
