What an absolute genius Malcolm was. Out in the bush he was in his absolute element and nothing and no one came close to his knowledge and understanding of the wilderness. RIP mate
I just found this guy and looked him up on Wikipedia where the first three words read "Malcolm Douglas was..." and I felt sad. Wish I found these 20 years ago. It's great that he filmed everything he did in the bush so his life's work lives on. You may want to ignore his automobile advice though.
He was nearly 70 at least, plus it's not know what happened with his car, he was found wedged in between it and a tree. It's unrelated to any of his car advice guides, because he was by himself and the investigators have no idea what happened. They didn't find any strange equipment or anything, they literally concluded that somehow his car was running and drove itself into him while he was outside of it, crushing him between itself and a tree. Pretty sure his car was a manual also, so I doubt his dog could have accidentally trod on the accelerator or something like that, since in a manual you have to push in the clutch pedal as well. The most obvious thing is that is was at an incline and the break gave out and the car rolled into him, however the investigators claim that there is no evidence that it rolled, but instead that it somehow drove into him, there was no mention of an incline either. Either way, the investigators couldn't conclude exactly how it happened. The only obvious way would be if someone got in and drove it into Malcolm, and then ran off. The investigators claim there is no evidence of that happening, however you have to realise that if someone did do that, there probably wouldn't be evidence left. At the same time the idea that someone would want to kill Malcolm seems pretty unlikely as well.
@@ziongite Not nessacarily unlikely, at all. Malcom was known to be a difficult person to please, and held extrememly high standards, and berated people if they were not up to his standards, apparently. Furthermore, his wife, was at that very moment on her way back to Sydney NSW, as she didnt want to live on the Crocodile farm anymore. Malcoms net worth was around $7 million AUD, so a fair some left solely to her. What struck me as cold , was in an interview, one of the only things she said was, "She is glad she will have sole command of the finances..." This case is suspicious to me, but apparently not to anyone else, including the WA police dept.
I met him at the Marracoonda hotel in Perth about 6 months before he died We were the only 2 people having a late breakfast…….. so we ended up sitting together! We talked for a half hour at least…….. he was a genuine” good guy “ that’s for sure
5:52 I find it highly unlikely that anyone would be in the bush without a jack for a start, BUT, will somehow have 8kms of rope, chains, straps, and a "working vehicle" to reverse like he did at 7:00 if it's already "broken down" to begin with hahaha Still funny though!

Malcolm Douglas aka the original badass
That’s a genius idea of washing clothes Malcolm ! Good video
Proper TV before all of the "formulaic jeopardy crap" that purports to be about survival today LOL. MD was a real super hero.
