Hurting people hurt people. Thanks to Lori for digging deeper to find out why the bride was behaving so badly.
The bride realised they'd brought in the big guns and she'd pushed it too far so she turned it into a sob story. I'm sorry, I don't think that being cross with your mum would make you turn on everyone else. I think she was still harbouring a grudge about the floral bridesmaids dress!

I think the male consultant should have said something before that to the bride. You have to have a gentle but firm touch when you do it though. She was just plain rude and mean

She’s just a girl trying to get married and gets frustrated with her friends. She wasn’t even the one to bring up the story herself.
@@justjaein I agree. At the end of the day this is still a reality show, and they need a source of entertainment. In every episode there’s drama of some sort, somewhere. It’s how you get viewership. As much as I love this show I do have to remind myself that a lot of the drama is probably exacerbated by the producers.

My own mother not only didn't help me do any planning but continuously verbally abused me whenever I did something she didn't agree with. She would even got her friends to threaten me at my workplace and even harass my inlaws. Made the whole wedding planning process heavily traumatic for me. At no point did it ever occur to me to start being unpleasant to my bridesmaids - would have pushed away the people who really kept me going throughput the process.
So glad Lori got to the root of the problem. So glad the bridesmaids were understanding. I couldn’t imagine going through my wedding without my mother’s help.
Well, imagine it. It happens and you pull through it. I had to do all the deciding and planning myself. Even my bridesmaids were just there as friends in dresses. I guess I’ve just had to be very independent.
I lost both parents only one I have left in my entire family is my older brother. I am 39 and chose to stay single with just me, My doberman and best friend... I lost my best friends 5 months ago and just lost my dog about a week ago... So I am surprised I am still thriving...

In my opinion there’s really no excuse to act this way. My mom isn’t here and we never had a healthy relationship. I still can’t imagine talking to people, especially my own friends this way. It’s just unacceptable.

Of all the colors in the rainbow, yellow is the WORST on me. Not flattering to my coloring at all. I was a bridesmaid in my sister's wedding and she ended up choosing yellow bridesmaid dresses. So I sucked it up, didn't say a word about the color & used a lot of makeup on the wedding day. It was HER wedding after all, not mine. My best friend (who was also a bridesmaid) looked fabulous, the color was wonderful on her. When my oldest son got married, my DIL also chose yellow bridesmaid dresses and everyone looked great. I think yellow (depending on the shade) is very pretty for a spring wedding.
My mom was N E V E R there for me AT ALL!! I grew up in and out of foster care, bounced from home to home, school to school,, and STILL I wouldn't DREAM of treating a friend this way!!

I agree with you, but everyone reacts in different ways to pain and trauma. It doesn't make it okay, but if they're willing to grow and change and not stay stuck in the victim-mentality, then I would consider them redeemable and worthy of forgiveness.
And worst of all, they love her. She is taking out all her frustration out on her best friends. Not nice

She told us her bridesmaids were unsupportive… that was a lie. Now her mom is being “neglectful” of the wedding planning hmmm something tells me that isn’t the full truth either.
Lies and perception are two different things!! Just because bridesmaids SAY they are supportive, doesn’t mean they have been. They committed to try harder.

If they weren't trying hard to be supportive they'd have told her where she could stick her bridesmaid dresses! They clearly didn't want to make a scene and of course they were going to carry on in the same vein after she 'apologised'.
It was easier for the bride to say her friends weren’t being supportive than admit her mother wasn’t there for her. She just knew she felt unsupported ❤
The bride probably learned her rude behavior from her mother; and when the two of them try to wedding plan together, it becomes a contest of insults. So the mother bows out because she cannot get her way.
I’m glad she finally realized how special her friends are!! There are some people that not only don’t have family support but don’t have the friendship that this girl has!!

True, many people have hardships and what makes a person god hearted and exceptional is never taking out your personal frustrations onto others. Especially your best friends. Behaving that way is just going to inevitably drive people away from her.

I do think yellow is a very BOLD choice in any dress. However, there is usually always a compromise and the bride did not go about it the right way.

I think we should also give props to Brandon for being the one to notice that this was more than just about dresses. Sometimes we can tell what is wrong but we don't have the tools or knowledge to get to the complete bottom of it and that is why we rely on our elders to give us that guidance. It's also why this bride is so hurt by her mom not being there, cause she was looking to have her opinion too cause she values it.
I'm not surprised her mum doesn't want to get involved. She's probably been shopping with Little Miss Spiteful before and knows how it will go.
I truly feel for this bride. When my mom got married she did a destination wedding in las Vegas and didn't even invite me. Then when i attempted to plan my own wedding she wanted no part of it. I ended up eloping with my husband because the stress of family not wanting to have any part on ether side was really starting to get too both of us. Eloping was so much easier and stress free. Do I wish I had that special day with my mom and both families? Yes, of course I do. Do I wish I had that moment or that dress? Yes! But I would rather sacrifice one day in order to have many more peaceful future ones with the love of my life and less strife between loved ones.
It's no excuse to take her anger out on her bridesmaids. She should grow up, and fast

Bride here… it’s all scripted. Me and my friends are closer than ever still and I’ve been married 11 years tomorrow with a beautiful baby girl. Trust me, none of this was real. The dresses were planted and things I said were out of fun with laughs from my bridesmaids but we’re turned into something hateful. Reality TV is anything but real.

I wore a yellow dress as my sister's matron of honor. I loved that dress so much! It was a creamy buttery yellow that looked beautiful on all of the bridesmaids.

And listening to this video, it sure didn't sound like this was the FIRST time she's acted this way. She didn't get the perfect mother. Neither did I, but I NEVER hurt people who cared about me because of it.

I wanted all of my bridesmaids in thr same dress, same color, but I *made sure* they all felt good in the dress. The dress we all picked everyone cried over bc they all looked so gorgeous. We were blessed to find a dress that complimented everyone's body type and a color that looked good on everyone. It was important to me that they felt good in the dress

The best decision I made for my wedding was sending my bridesmaids and maid of honour (all sisters who live out of town) the basic colours of the wedding and telling them to each find a dress that that particular person could re-wear. There were five dresses on five women, all of them different, and it was perfect! They looked stunning, everyone, and none of them looked out of place. They also, as it was around Christmas, carried simple hurricane candle holders with one candle each. It was like a fairytale.

The bride was like a toddler having a temper tantrum. Using such harsh language against her best friends is inexcusable. Yet, they forgave her. She should kearn from them. One hopes she communicates better with her future husband, or they are in for a rough ride.

So she purposefully chooses a color that she knows is difficult to work with and that all the bridesmaids collectively hate, and then proceeds to call every yellow dress awful and makes fun of the color...? Something seems fishy. Especially when she said "That's why you stuck me in that horrible dress" she was DEFINITELY projecting. She is just a rude person. No excuses.
My brides maids dresses were hand made. I told them go find a pattern you like, keeping in mind my 8 yr old niece (Jr. brides maid) would be wearing the same dress and that's what we'll go with. They were happy with them. We did the same when my maid of honor got married. The only difference between the MOH and Bridemaid were the flowers.

I do feel bad for these bridesmaids, as much pain she may be feeling towards her mom she can not project it like this to her friends. She has an incredibly supportive group of friends there that are willing to give her their all and she throws it back in their faces and it must have been incredibly embarrassing for them. Hoping this is just a very stressed out bride and she is nicer to them outside of the wedding planning

I had two bridesmaids and one of them is the sweetest person you’d ever meet and the other… she was my maid of honor. She insulted my ring calling it cheap, didn’t give a speech (the other one did), always tried to make everything about her, and just wasn’t a good friend to begin with. I regret making her my maid of honor. She never deserved it.

@@grenade8572 well, I THOUGHT I knew who she was when I asked her, but the more I got to know her the worse I realized she was. And the other girl, I knew her about just as much as I did the other girl (just a little less) and the more I got to know her the more I adored her.
I didn’t think my husband and I would have groomsmen or bridesmaids until he asked his best friend. So I chose the girl I knew a bit more. What I should’ve done was wait until closer to time.

Yellow is an appallingly hard color to wear. It takes a particular complexion to carry off yellow, and not many people have it. My mother wasn't really interested in helping me plan anything. She was still processing the grief of my dad passing away, so I pretty much did it by myself. I wish she had been more supportive, but in the end, I paid for my dress, so I picked what I wanted, even though she wasn't crazy about it. I looked at a lot of bridesmaids dresses to find one I felt would be flattering to both my bridesmaids, and that they could wear again. My sister wore her dress later for several voice recitals, and received many compliments on it. Lori's been doing this job long enough to know when something's up.

I soon changed my mind about this group once Lori stepped in smoothed things over and built a bridge.

These girls all needed this, this appointment was about far more than finding a bridesmaid dress. Lori should be a psychologist, she’s so amazing! If I ever get the chance to get married, my dream is to find my dress at this store, even though it would mean flying to the other side of the world to do it! ♥️♥️

There's no excuse to treat your friends badly. If any woman in my family had been spoken to the way this bride spoke to her friends, we'd be out of that bridesmaid dress and out the door. No one should ever accept being treated disrespectfully unless he/she has actively invited it with bad behavior of their own. Maybe the mother didn't want to be involved because she's not a fan of her daughter's nasty personality.
