As further follow up, this tutorial has been a revelation. I have a notebook for each main task and a section for each period. All comments, emails, models and notes are embedded as pages. This self documents each significant task. All information is in one place. Thank you very much. I have made so much progress in a couple if weeks. Hadn't even heard of one note three weeks ago.

    Dear Sean,
I can't explain how useful this training has been! While watching it, I created my own notebook!! I'm loving what little I have begun using of OneNote, and ruing that I didn't start using it sooner!!
Your explanations are clear and the examples are extremely relevant!! Thanks a million!!

You have helped NEARLY 4,000 PEOPLE be more productive
And yet I can’t believe so few invested the time that would have been invaluable
YES, THIS IS 2 hours LONG
but as with all good teachers,
    you ensure ACTIVE LEARNING
so we didn’t just watch it,
    we DID it
and went from comprehension to production ....
I have seen a lot of yours students
    make nicely presented videos
of how they study which is helpful.
However, this was SO MUCH BETTER
    because you actually know
ALL THE FUNCTIONS, tips and tricks
so we can customise it to our learning /note-taking style.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS THOROUGH TUTORIAL!!
‘If it’s Important, there’s always more than one way to do it?"....
NOT if you want to learn the One Note functionality in its totality ....
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Learnit Training is the best

I have been struggling to find software that is good enough to be a personal wiki to store story ideas into text words to save for later reference. I have started using One Note since February (4 months now) and I have to say, I am so glad I did as it solves so many issues I had with other software that either charge a subscription service or is convoluted to use or set up. The fact that it is free to use and offers 5GB is more than enough for what I need it for. I do have 1TB since I have a Microsoft 365 suite. I just starting to dabble deeper into what else it can do aside from making tabs and adding pages into it. The Wiki function is by far one of my favorites feature to point to other ideas in or outside of One note itself.

Several have commented about the different look of OneNote from the one they may be using. The 2016 version of OneNote is the older version, though still may be used by some. If you are a 365 subscriber you can download both versions on your Windows PC. I find the newer version to be better for what I use it for. I will admit that the older looking ribbon has tools that are easier to access if you type a lot of text.

  • @solarwinds-
    @solarwinds- 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

my one note looks nothing like this. How do you get the tabs across the top of the page where the whole page is available. On my 2016 one note, each section is in the form of a column. each time you add a section it takes up another column leaving little room for content. And I don't have a ribbon either and there is not " show the command ribbon" anywhere. I hate it.

Hi, can you make a video on how to make a OneNote backup and how to restore a backup? For example I would like to schedule a daily backup saved every night into my PC and store at least 90 individual backups for past 90 days, if today I make a mistake or deleted something accidentally, I would like to be able to restore a previous 10 days ago backup or restore the latest most recent backup. If one day OneNote no longer exists I will not lose all my data if I have a copy of OneNote data saved in my PC. I guess now OneNote data is saved online by default. Thanks a lot. Great detailed video.

I love this video. It has so much more than anything else I have seen. I teach using OneNote. I wonder how you show your cursor (I see in your video you use arrows and rectangle to indicate what you are referring to.) Could you please explain how you do that?
