    How long did you make the 2x4? I have the same kayak so I’m thinking of making this, awesome idea!

      Thanks! I think I cut it 36". The kayak itself is about 30" wide there, so you need another 6" or so to fit your trolling motor. But if you don't want to mount a trolling motor, you can go with 30" or less.

    Did you use 1" pvc? I'm making a rod holder and I'm trying to go with 1 1/4 but it's too tight. Just wondering what you used.

    If you put a trolling motor on that its ganna be all over the place and may even break the pvc

      Hey, there! So far, that has not happened. The PVC is sunk deep, with only maybe 10 inches of it above the yak's surface, so the PVC is not flexing. I also do not put the motor on until the ya is in the water.
