Hi Nick, i have an idea for a new product. What about an aerosol can with snow foam for your car or wheels, and as you know a lot of people live in flats ect and they don't have a jet wash but people could take there car to a service station and do it themselves, personally I think it would be a great option and product for people to have, what do you think.
It would be best for a pump foamer in this scenario 🫶

Great W&C Nick. Some really good points. Re photography - this is infuriating for obvious reasons. In a world of camera phones and such, photography is one of the most undervalued services where everyone expects it for free. Totally agree your approach to sorting the theft of the photo. Your photos are your brand and easily identifiable as YUM as soon as you see them. That's a credit to your amazing photographer. If they were reselling a YUM product then that is a different story.
Regarding products this could be a long conversation 🙂In short there are far too many companies simply wanting to push more and more product to the consumer. Yes they have some good performning products but its all about maximising the amount the consumer buys without truly informing them what is really needed for the job in hand. Personally this is where I believe YUM is different. A small selection of products that cover every aspect of your needs to fully clean and protect your vehicle without the huge upsell of having the latest buzz product that does no more than the current products.
What shouldn't be overlooked though is you and the teams constant chase for perfection. I've been detailing for 27yrs. Cars as a therapy and multimillion pound aircraft as a job. YUM products are the best product on the market.
As always Ant, I appreciate your insight into these kind of conversations and even more now as this is a public comment for all to see and hopefully learn from. Regards the photos, it’s a clear cut answer as always but still the biggest joke, as these companies clearly have to go on our website to blatantly rip off but never have the other business conversations in terms of resale.
As you will see with new products, especially at the likes of SEMA show, they spend 11 months hacking together a “ new “ product rather than sometimes slowing down to speed up with redeveloping a product to make it better, perfect example of this is a certain brand that has 8 car shampoos, from someone who knows chemistry very well this is a pure money grab and an insult to the customer.
This comment can go on forever but I think between the video and your comment we have pretty much all covered.
I really enjoyed this Nick. As a retired FD I was intested in your logic behind the distribution method of your products, and your thoughts on multiple sellers only doing what makes them the most money. I just wish some of my former (salesperson) colleagues had shared your views! Love the Yumcars products I've had so far, I have some others on order when you get back from holiday. My wife says I spend more on my car than I do on her - as if 😉!! For TH-cam, the camera angles are fine for me, subject matter is fine too, a good mix of fact and opinion. More close up shots of the products at work on the car would be nice - the suds, the beading, the hydrophobics etc. Keep up the good work, I don't know where you get your energy from.💪💪💪

The distribution and reseller topic is always interesting, it always surprises me why so many people within this industry follow the same unproven and frank bad methods of distribution ( to be in 20 shops with 5 bottles each is not true distribution )

Hi Nick, another great wash and chat. I do like the production level, it still doesn’t show the quality of the products, which I have experienced first hand.

Regarding the ego blower, I didn’t think that the 2.5ah battery would last as long as it does on boost, I did a Vauxhall Adam a couple of days ago, not the biggest car but just to see how long the battery lasts until it dies I went around the car 3-4 times, again just to see how long it would last, then I washed my Peugeot partner van on Saturday and did everything I needed with the blower and still had more than half the battery left which is amazing! I was thinking I would need to buy a second battery but I definitely don’t, also even if you did need to charge before doing another car, it charges super quick so would be full charged once again before you even finish the second car which again is brilliant!
The 2.5ah battery is just the right size and weight for this application. We have 2 batteries just in case.

Compared to EGO the others fall way short!
