Expecting mothers here a few months away and I am terrified of the epidural. People keep telling me how it's great. But those side effects seem crazy to me, and not worth the risk. I mean I don't have great pain tolerance but it seems for numbing the pain you make it harder on your body

I’m sorry to hear this is happening. Back pain is a potential side effect but unfortunately some people have it last a lot longer than it should. I am sending you love and light and healing thoughts.
my best birthing experiences was the last 2 births (my 5th and 6th children) when I opted not to have an epidural. i remember having a lingering back pain for 2 years when i first got an epidural, and another 2 years of lingering back pain when i had a (failed tubal) ligation after the birth of my 4th child.
Hi maam. Thank you for this information. It also helps me when you discuss about antibiotic since got uti during in my 6weeks. Now im okay. May i request you to discuss about subchorionic hemorrhage. I am now 15 weeks pregnant.. I have mine about 1.7 x 1.7. I am worried..
Thanks for the question. Subchorionic hemorrhages are actually the most common abnormality seen on ultrasound. They happen on over 3% of pregnancies and usually don't cause any problems. Many resolve on their own. It's important to watch for bleeding and report it to your doctor immediately. Your doctor has probably advised you do certain things to prevent complications like rest and abstain from sex. Make sure to follow those guidelines. You will probably need to have a follow-up ultrasound to see how things are going. Right now, rest up. These usually don't cause issues. Please help me out and like my video if you haven't already and subscribe to the channel. I appreciate it.
I gave birth 15 years ago. Apparently the epidural was given too late or something bc I was still in horrible pain. I was in stage 2 of active labor and they ended up using the vacuum. The third vacuum try worked. I’m currently 12 weeks pregnant and dreading the birth process again.
I feel like the risks of the “severe headache,” are seriously downplayed by medical staff. Most moms have no idea they are risking severe debilitation for the first two weeks of their baby’s life - weeks they will never get back.
Natural is the best, safest way to go, for child birth. No danger to the baby, I had all 5 of my babies without any bad DRUGS. My husband, a doctor delivered all our children. Yes its a bit of hard work, but the kind of pain the mother forgets right away.
What other questions do you have about anethesia for your labor?
