This was such a blessing to watch. I just wish they would unpack what it means to serve one another… so many take the term literally and attempt to do everything for their spouse. Serving one another also means learning your spouse and being attentive enough to tap into what they need on a spiritual, emotional, mental level and serve that need as well... this is by far more important than making sure their physical needs are met

Marriage is a beautiful union between two individuals who commit to love, support, and cherish each other through life's ups and downs. A wedding ceremony symbolizes this commitment, bringing together family and friends to celebrate the love shared between the couple as they embark on a new journey together.

This was very helpful! Thank You for sharing your wisdom and experiences.❤ I found it interesting that two of the 3 questions were about how to navigate very challenging relationships that they felt somewhat obligated to and Pastor Jonathan I really appreciate your responses and agree. As someone who also feels called to serve in a relationship (not marriage but an Elderly Parent/Child relationship) that is difficult and feels abusive many times, it was refreshing to hear that I'm not alone in trying to walk upright in this journey. It seems like it would be helpful for the Church (Big C) to address the realities and practical applications of how to navigate extreme relational challenges when it seems as if mental health issues are on a steady rise in our society.

God bless you both abundantly. Your sincerity and faith provided a platform for transparency and truth . You both sre going to change young lives for the better. I was married for 30 years and divorced now for three. My husband left at the height of the pandemic. He was a wonderful and amazing husband and is an excellent father. Hr fell out of fellowship with God and fell out if love with me. Christ has filled my heart with so much forgiveness towards him. These past three years has been a season for me to grow closer to Christ and deeper in His word. Tony Evans series in marriage have been an instrumental learning tool. and now this interview with Pastor jonathan and his beautiful wife is another resource for me in my growth and preparation for marriage again someday. Thankyou and I will share this interview with as many as I can God has bern so gracious to our family and hearing this level of encouragement fills me with even more hope for whet is to come. I am just now seeing thjs video and i am a member. Respectfully, I love this church but im concerned that you stated that both of you are apart of the D9. I have been watching alot of videos of denouncing these organization and that its idolatry. I have also met people within the church who denounced due to what they have learned about them. Pastor Evans and Kanika, you are beautiful people and i can not help but be concerned about your association and union with these organizations. I have learned by being attach to these org, you have cursed your bloodline. While you did a wonderful explaination of how to keep a Godly marriage, what do you say about the convenant that you made with these organizations? Have you heard of these denoucing and that these gods that are attached to them?

Hi Jonathan @40:56-41:00 you said "there's no where in the bible the man is told to submit to the wife" I don't think that's true Eph 5:21-33 The bible clearly says submit yourselves one to another. Yes there's structure but both are to submit to each other.

Respectfully will disagree with you Jonathan on “nowhere in the Bible does it say a man should submit to a woman “. Because it does . In Ephesians 5:21… it says “submit to one another out of reverence for Christ”. As much as the Bible calls women to submit , which I am 100% for, submission isn’t only for wives to submit to husbands, but husbands are to submit to their wives too . I love you both and a huge fun of the Evan’s legacy but I disagreed on this .
